I have displayed my one custom table in a grid format. Now, I want to display one other custom table in a grid format (Under different menu). But I am little bit confused, how to add code in di.xml file.
Here is my di.xml which I have created for my first grid :
app/code/Ved/Mymodule/etc/di.xml :
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<config xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="urn:magento:framework:ObjectManager/etc/config.xsd">
<virtualType name="Ved\Mymodule\Model\ResourceModel\News\Collection" type="Magento\Framework\View\Element\UiComponent\DataProvider\SearchResult">
<arguments>
<argument name="mainTable" xsi:type="string">ved_zipcodes</argument> <!-- here ved_zipcodes this is the db table name -->
<argument name="resourceModel" xsi:type="string">Ved\Mymodule\Model\ResourceModel\News</argument> <!-- Path -->
</arguments>
</virtualType>
<type name="Magento\Framework\View\Element\UiComponent\DataProvider\CollectionFactory">
<arguments>
<argument name="collections" xsi:type="array">
<!-- Here name value, we will use in mymodule_my_grid.xml layout file -->
<item name="mymodule_news_grid_data_source" xsi:type="string">Ved\Mymodule\Model\ResourceModel\News\Collection</item> <!-- Collection path -->
</argument>
</arguments>
</type>
</config>
How should I update my di.xml for displaying second grid in admin? <>br
Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

I recently packaged a Scorm course, and everything looks ok, but when they launch the course they have to click first in one menu button from the LMS, and open a submenu and they have to click again, in other courses they just click in the parent item. I think it's something to do with the structure in the Manifest file, the thing is that I have just one item so the menu is not really necesary.
This is what my client sees:
<?xml version="1.0" standalone="no" ?>

I've made a component and I'd like to show that component on the document-details page only if the document has a certain aspect, so I tried to use an evaluator. I've added this bean in custom-slingshot-application-context.xml
<bean id="evaluator.doclib.metadata.hasInvoiceAspect"
parent="evaluator.doclib.action.propertyNotNull">
<property name="property" value="inv:invoice"/>
</bean>
In document-details.xml I added this
<component>
<region-id>custom-comp</region-id>
<sub-components>
<sub-component id="default">
<evaluations>
<evaluation>
<evaluators>
<evaluator type="evaluator.doclib.metadata.hasInvoiceAspect"/>
</evaluators>
<url>/components/custom/custom-comp</url>
</evaluation>
</evaluations>
</sub-component>
</sub-components>
</component>
I guess I've missed something as the component doesn't show up. I have 2 files named custom-slingshot, I tried both tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/web-extension and tomcat/webapps/share/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/web-extension.
Am I completely wrong with this? Is it possible to achieve what I want like that? How should I proceed?
There is a predefined evaluator to check whether a node has an aspect called evaluator.doclib.action.hasAspect. You simply need to create a bean with this evaluator as the parent and give an aspect to check against in the properties:
*added to some -context.xml in web-extension
<bean id="my.custom.evaluator" parent="evaluator.doclib.action.hasAspect">
<property name="aspects">
<list>
<value>my:hasInvoiceAspect</value>
</list>
</property>
</bean>
Then you'll reference that bean in your DocLibActions config added to *extension-modules.xml (web-extension/site-data/extensions)...
<config condition="DocLibActions" evaluator="string-compare">
<actions>
<action...>
<!-- Custom evaluator -->
<evaluator>my.custom.evaluator</evaluator>
</action>
</actions>
</config>
Voila.
More info on predefined evaluators.
Good sample project here.
When I log into http://localhost:8080/alfresco I can navigate to a folder and see four content items. So far so good. But there is no indication as to what the type is of each content type, except for a PDF icon.
Is there a way for me to specify an icon for my custom content types?
I would like the icon to be dependent on my custom type.
<types>
<type name="sc:doc">
<title>Someco Content</title>
<parent>cm:content</parent>
<icon>boring-icon.png</icon> <-- something like this
</type>
<type name="sc:marketingDoc">
<title>Marketing Document</title>
<parent>bnp:doc</parent>
<icon>fancy-marketing-icon.png</icon> <-- something like this
</type>
</types>
If it matters, I am using Alfresco 3.3 (Enterprise).
Take a look here http://docs.alfresco.com/3.4/tasks/kb-code-explorer-add.html
e.g. web-client-config-custom.xml (sc:marketingDocis the Alfresco content type):
<!-- Specify icon for the kb:document instances -->
<config evaluator="string-compare" condition="sc:marketingDoc icons">
<icons>
<icon name="sc_marketingDoc-icon" path="/images/icons/your_custom_icon.gif" />
</icons>
</config>
Are you informed, that Alfresco Explorer is deprecated & you should use Share instead?
We have a linux machine (Red Hat) to compile our flex (3.0) application.
It's an ant task (which is called by maven-antrun-plugin).
We decided to change our build machine (same Red Hat).
So i copy/paste the FLEX_HOME repertory on the new machine (from the old one), install ant then checkout the project on the new machine.
Here is the log when i call : ant -buildfile build-flex.xml
Buildfile: build-flex.xml
version:
[echo] Version ${maven.pom.version}
[copy] Copying 1 file to /home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_resources
compile.release:
[mxmlc] Loading configuration file /exec/products/flex_sdk/frameworks/flex-config.xml
[mxmlc] /home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_src/flexClient_381495.cache (No such >file or directory)
Most of the time it hangs up here with java using 100% cpu.
Sometimes it shows a few warnings from the compilation but do not go further.
When i use the ant -debug -buildfile build-flex.xml, it shows the command executed :
[mxmlc] FlexTask.execute: -compiler.keep-generated-actionscript=true -compiler.incremental=true +flexlib=/exec/products/flex_sdk/frameworks -compiler.services=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/WebContent/WEB-INF/flex/services-config.xml -metadata.description=PhareRH -metadata.title=PhareRH -compiler.accessible=true -compiler.optimize=true -compiler.strict=true -compiler.headless-server=true -load-config=/exec/products/flex_sdk/frameworks/flex-config.xml -compiler.source-path=/exec/products/flex_sdk/frameworks -compiler.source-path=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_resources -compiler.source-path=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_src -compiler.source-path=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_src_gen -compiler.context-root=/ -compiler.debug=false -compiler.include-libraries+=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_libs/Cairngorm.swc -compiler.include-libraries+=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_libs/Collator.swc -compiler.include-libraries+=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_libs/automation.swc -compiler.include-libraries+=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_libs/automation_agent.swc -compiler.include-libraries+=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_libs/automation_dmv.swc -compiler.include-libraries+=/home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_libs/qtp.swc -- /home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_src/flexClient.mxml
I can't see any difference between the working machine (old one) and this new machine about the debug output.
I tried to copy the old .cache file to new machine (+ changing the number), it gives me :
compile.release:
[mxmlc] Loading configuration file /exec/products/flex_sdk/frameworks/flex-config.xml
[mxmlc] Failed to match the compile target with /home/ad59aphr/build/pharerh-ihm/flex_src/flexClient_381495.cache. The cache file will not be reused.
I tried to change the -incremental to false in the build-flex.xml but same result : stuck.
I tried tu compile in root to avoid any rights problems, same result.
My build-flex.xml :

I think the "flexClient_381495.cache (No such >file or directory)" message is innocuous. That's just standard output from ant or the ant task, right? I think I've seen messages like this a million times, but it's been a while since I used ant...
You mentioned that it hangs after printing that output, but sometimes you also see compiler warnings. I'm guessing it is entering the compile phase every time. Sometimes you get far enough into compiling to see some warning messages.
This sounds like you might want to specify a bigger heap size for the JVM. Some details on doing that here and here.
I've been building a JavaScript and CSS only GUI extension.
I followed the instructions in Albert's post here:
http://albertromkes.com/2012/01/30/tridion-gui-extensions-how-to-load-a-javascript-without-showing-a-gui-element/
The JavaScript loads in OK but I can't get the CSS included, am I missing something?
Here's an approximation of my configuration file:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<Configuration xmlns="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/Configuration/Merge"
xmlns:cfg="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/Configuration"
xmlns:ext="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/extensions"
xmlns:cmenu="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/extensions/ContextMenu">
<resources cache="true">
<cfg:filters/>
<cfg:groups>
<cfg:group name="Rob.Prototype.Extensions"
merger="Tridion.Web.UI.Core.Configuration.Resources.CommandGroupProcessor"
merge="always">
<cfg:domainmodel name="Rob.Prototype.Extensions.Domain">
<cfg:fileset>
<cfg:file type="script">/Scripts/script1.js</cfg:file>
<cfg:file type="script">/Scripts/script2.js</cfg:file>
<cfg:file type="style">/CSS/styles.css</cfg:file>
</cfg:fileset>
<cfg:services/>
</cfg:domainmodel>
</cfg:group>
</cfg:groups>
</resources>
<definitionfiles/>
<extensions>
<ext:editorextensions/>
<ext:dataextenders/>
</extensions>
<commands/>
<contextmenus/>
<localization/>
<settings>
<defaultpage>/Views/Default.aspx</defaultpage>
<navigatorurl>/Views/Default.aspx</navigatorurl>
<editurls/>
<listdefinitions/>
<itemicons/>
<theme>
<path>/CSS/</path>
</theme>
<customconfiguration/>
</settings>
</Configuration>
The domain model is supposed contain non-visual things only, so Tridion only processes non-visual file types. You should not include CSS files in a domainmodel, but instead put them in a separate fileset outside of any domainmodel.
This requires that you have a GUI element that uses the group that your CSS is in. If you weren't planning to add any GUI elements, you could add a dummy ribbon button to links to the CSS.
I don't have the answer Rob but the following blog post from #poeticGeek may help you out.
Setting up a Tridion 2011 GUI extension in 8 steps
This might help you
How does the Tridion GUI Extensions CommandSet map to js methods?
The same should apply to CSS as for JS.
If that doesn't work, have you tried incrementing the modification attribute in System.config stored at C:\Program Files (x86)\Tridion\web\WebUI\WebRoot\Configuration
Here is the config from an extension I wrote that 'injected' javascript into the publish dialog view, maybe worth giving it a shot to see if it also includes any css:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Configuration xmlns="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/Configuration/Merge" xmlns:cfg="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/Configuration" xmlns:ext="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/extensions" xmlns:cmenu="http://www.sdltridion.com/2009/GUI/extensions/ContextMenu">
<resources cache="true">
<cfg:extensiongroups>
<cfg:extensiongroup name="Company.Extensions.Group">
<cfg:extension target="Tridion.Web.UI.Editors.CME.Views.Popups.Publish">
<cfg:insertafter>Company.Extensions.Resources</cfg:insertafter>
</cfg:extension>
</cfg:extensiongroup>
</cfg:extensiongroups>
<cfg:groups>
<cfg:group name="Company.Extensions.Resources">
<cfg:fileset>
<cfg:file type="script">/js/SelectRollbackFailure.js</cfg:file>
<cfg:file type="script">/js/NoPublishItemWarning.js</cfg:file>
</cfg:fileset>
</cfg:group>
</cfg:groups>
</resources>
<definitionfiles/>
<extensions>
<ext:dataextenders/>
<ext:editorextensions />
</extensions>
<commands />
<contextmenus/>
<localization></localization>
<settings>
<defaultpage />
<navigatorurl />
<editurls/>
<listdefinitions/>
<itemicons/>
<theme>
<path></path>
<resourcegroup />
</theme>
<resourceextensions>
<resourceextension>Company.Extensions.Group</resourceextension>
</resourceextensions>
<customconfiguration></customconfiguration>
</settings>
</Configuration>
You'll need to change this part:
<cfg:extension target="Tridion.Web.UI.Editors.CME.Views.Popups.Publish">
To where you'd like the items to be included. If it's not quite right, or you need an explanation let me know.
p.s I also suspect some empty nodes can be stripped out :)
