using custom java script in wordpress - wordpress

i have a code that is just basically showing stars i want that to be added to my wordpress website i have successful uploaded and linked the css and js files in header.php and when i run any page it is infact loading the files i know due to security concerns wordpress wont let you add script in its editor what is the solution? here's my html and js code
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<title>RateYo - Scratchpad</title>
<meta charset="utf-8"></meta>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="jquery.rateyo.min.css"/>
</head>
<body>
<div>
<div id="rateYo1" style="margin: 10px"></div>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.rateyo.min.js"></script>
<script>
$(function () {
$("#rateYo1").rateYo({
rating: 3.5,
readOnly: true
});
});
</script>
</body>
</html>

You can easily add anything you like via hooks.
add_action( 'wp_footer', 'my_custom_scripts', 500 );
function my_custom_scripts() { ?>
<script type="text/javascript">
(function ($, document, undefined) {
// Your custom code goes here.
}(jQuery, document))
</script><?php
}
Alternatively you could add it to the head as well using:
add_action( 'wp_footer', 'my_custom_scripts', 500 );

How to use Google translate button for conversion to specific language only?

Here's the code from https://www.w3schools.com/HOWTO/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_google_translate
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en-US">
<body>
<h1>My Web Page</h1>
<p>Hello everybody!</p>
<p>Translate this page:</p>
<div id="google_translate_element"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
function googleTranslateElementInit() {
new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'en'}, 'google_translate_element');
}
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="//translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script>
</body>
</html>
But the situation I have is, that user enters text in a textbox in English, hit 'Translate' button and the other text box get translated text in Spanish.
I tried replacing 'google_translate_element' to 'es' or 'Spanish' but did not work.
Any suggestions?
Found solution from google support, so sharing for someone who might need it. You may use includedLanguages and list comma separated languages which you want to display in dropdown :
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en-US">
<body>
<h1>My Web Page</h1>
<p>Hello everybody!</p>
<p>Translate this page:</p>
<div id="google_translate_element"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
function googleTranslateElementInit() {
new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'en', includedLanguages: 'es', layout: google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.SIMPLE, autoDisplay: false}, 'google_translate_element');
}
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="//translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script>
<p>You can translate the content of this page by selecting a language in the select box.</p>
</body>
</html>

Can I embed a whole website in my wordpress site so that it shows in a lightbox?

I sometimes embed full websites in my wordpress site, with this code:
<object data="https://skiplagged.com/" width="100%" height="600px">
<embed src="https://skiplagged.com/" width="100%″" height="600px" />
</object>
It works fine, but I would like the website to open up in a lightbox - does anyone know if that is possible at all, and how to do it?
Thank you for your answers.
You can use Fancybox
add this in your theme functions.php and make sure to have correct fancybox js and script source
function load_fancybox_script() { ?>
<script type="text/javascript" src="yoursite.com/fancyboxdirectory/source/jquery.fancybox.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="yoursite.com/fancyboxdirectory/source/jquery.fancybox.css" media="screen" />
<script type="text/javascript">
( function($) {
$(document).ready( function() {
$("a.fancybox-iframe").fancybox();
});
})(jQuery);
</script>
<?php
}
add_action('wp_head','load_fancybox_script', 99);
Then to have a pop-up
<a class="fancybox-iframe" data-fancybox-type="iframe" href="https://skiplagged.com/">Iframe</a>

jstree is not loading icons in MVC5 from css url

I'm trying to use jsTree in AngularJS powered MVC5 school project. To use jsTree in angular app I'm using this directive.
From what I can observe everthing working ok:
- jstree loads correctly data and structure, and fires all events
- jstree loads CSS style (if i change for instance margin in css, it's reflected to jstree, if remove css reference it rendered as ordinary HTML UL)
However it looks like, that rest of layout doesnt work:
- no background change, when i move cursor over node
- no conectors, no node images, no arrows
From what i was able to find it looks like that css is not using images referenced in it:
background-image: url("data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhCwAHAIAAACgoKP///yH5BAEAAAEALAAAAAALAAcAAAIORI4JlrqN1oMSnmmZDQUAOw==");
background-image: url("32px.png");
background-image: url("data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAABgAAAACAQMAAAB49I5GAAAABlBMVEUAAAAdHRvEkCwcAAAAAXRSTlMAQObYZgAAAAxJREFUCNdjAAMOBgAAGAAJMwQHdQAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==");
So I tried to use:
bundles.Add(new StyleBundle("~/jstree").Include(
"~/Content/jstree/style.css", new CssRewriteUrlTransform()));
Css with images is placed in same folder:
But that also did not worked. Any ideas? Sugestions?
Rest of the code:
angular.module('JosefinaApp', ['ui.layout', 'JosefinaApp.controllers', 'jsTree.directive']);
angular.module('JosefinaApp.controllers', [])
.controller('TreeViewController', ['$scope', '$location', '$http', function ($scope, $location, $http) {
$location.path('/home');
$http({
method: 'GET',
url: '/api/project/gettasks/1',
}).
success(function (data) {
$scope.treeModel = data;
}).
error(function () {
$scope.test = "Error";
});
$scope.treeViewNodeSelected = function (e, data) {
console.log(data.node.id);
};
}])

Removing "Loading Message"

I face a problem when i try to use jqm in my website. A message of 'loading' appears on the bottom of my site. I figured out that it happens since I don't add jqm css. When I add the jqm css everything changes (color layout ect.). How is it possible to remove 'loading' message or add css without conflicts with the main css of my site?
<head>
<link href="css/site.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<!--<link href="css/jquery.mobile-1.3.2.min.css" rel="stylesheet" /> -->
<!-- disable loading msg -->
<script>
$(document).bind("mobileinit", function(){
$.mobile.loadingMessage = false;
});
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js"> </script>
<script src="scripts/jquery.mobile-1.3.2.min.js"></script>
</head>
I add script in my code. Nothing seems to happen! My problem solved only when i uncomment jqm css code, but then i got many conflicts with the site.css which i dont know how to solve.
To disable jQuery Mobile loading message, you need to override global settings once mobileinit triggers. The code should be placed in head after loading jQuery and before loading jQuery Mobile libraries.
<head>
<script src="jquery.js"></script>
<script>
$(document).on("mobileinit", function () {
$.mobile.loadingMessage = false;
});
</script>
<script src="jquery-mobile.js"></script>
</head>

Adding loading window into ASP.NET website like child window in Silverlight

I have a website written in C# / ASP.NET. I try to add loading/waiting window while that page is loading. How can I do that in Asp.net? Thanks..
I solved it with DOJO. I used dijit.dialog. Here is a part of my code:
<head>
<!-- api's (you can use also google apis: https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/dojo/1.6.1/dojo/dojo.xd.js) -->
<link href="<%=Url.Content("~/Scripts/dojo/dijit/themes/tundra/tundra.css")%>" rel="stylesheet"
type="text/css" media="screen" />
<link href="<%=Url.Content("~/Scripts/dojo/dojo/resources/dojo.css")%>" rel="stylesheet"
type="text/css" media="screen" />
<script djconfig="parseOnLoad: true" type="text/javascript" src="<%=Url.Content("~/Scripts/dojo/dojo/dojo.js")%>"> </script>
</head>
<script type="text/javascript">
dojo.require("dijit.Dialog");
dojo.require("dijit.layout.ContentPane");
// This is the function to show the spinning whell (or something else to demonstrate the loading progress)
function wheelShow() {
var dialog = new dijit.Dialog({ title: "Loading...", id: "wheel" });
dialog.setContent("<img style='height: 55px; width: 55px; text-align:center' src='../../Content/images/loader.gif' />");
dialog.show();
// hiding of close button in dialog
dojo.query("#wheel .dijitDialogCloseIcon").forEach(function(node, index, arr) {
node.style.visibility = "hidden";
});
}
</script>
<body class="tundra">
<!-- after the page will be completly loaded - hide the wheel -->
<div id="delayedContent" onload="dijit.byId('wheel').hide()">
<!-- your page content here... -->
</div>
</body>
I found something like that. It seems easy and practical to use :

Thanks for your answer by the way.
