IJulia zoomable svg - julia

I am using IJulia to display nifty things. Sometimes I have outputs such as SVGs that I would like to get a closer look at. Is there a way to wrap my output to an IJulia notebook cell such that I can use the standard mousewheel zoom and pan?

ImageView offers support for this, but probably won't display SVGs (it's a bitmap application).

is there a Resolution for my Problem?

The SVG loader of Qt supports only a subset of SVG. It seems that embedding of raster graphics images in SVGs is not supported. (If I remember right embedding of SVGs in other SVGs doesn't work as well. – Too sad.)
To prove that I don't tell something wrong, I tested an icon of our software.
The following image shows how the Explorer Preview plug-in (based on Qt) shows the image:
The same image loaded into Firefox:
When I import this image in GIMP, the embedded image is considered as well.
So, if you don't want to re-design your SVG icon I see only one solution: render the SVGs into raster graphics images (e.g. PNG or JPEG) which are better supported in Qt – may be, with multi-resolution icons (QIcon – High DPI icons) for a better result.

3D transform but using Canvas

Trying to achieve something like this
http://attasi.com/labs/ipad/ which uses CSS transforms.
but using the Canvas object for greater compatibility.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
Take a look at three.js, it can render 3D using mainly WebGL, but it supports a subset of stuff with <canvas>, SVG and even the plain DOM - check this demo that uses the DOM renderer.
Here are demos using canvas. Some guy made this which shows it can do textured, animated game-like 3D with canvas.
Also, you may want to check out a particle engine and a tweening engine to go with that, plus stats like FPS.

Flex3: where to find loading animations? Is it possible to load GIF images easily?

I would like to use a GIF image as a loading animation on my Flex application, however I read Flex 3 doesn't have native support for GIF images. Therefore, is there any way to use them without any drawbacks?
If not, where can I find some flash animations to include in my app?
There are a lot of progress indicator flash animations out there as swf which can be easily be embedded (ie. here) or search google for Flex Progress Spinner. It's not that difficult to implement your own anyway. You just need a canvas and some matematics (rotation about point formulars).
Yes it's possible. You can find and design your own loading animation in:
http://www.ajaxload.info/. All you need to do is add this image in canvas or anyobject then call this one everytime you load.hope this will help you

Is it possible to emulate Mac Osx Finder search highlight in HTML + CSS?

Mac OSX Finder has a search feature that darkens everything but the part that matches.
(source: justaddwater.dk)
Is there a way to emulate it via CSS? I was thinking about adding a semi-transparent black div with opacity 50. But how then do I cut a hole in it?? and possibly make the edge fuzzy?
Any suggestions?
Check out the Expose jquery plugin from the jQuery TOOLS collection. I think it will accomplish exactly what you are looking for. They even have a demo of styling the mask with a background image.
Due to the irregular shapes, you're probably looking for an image. And due to the need for varying levels of transparency, you probably want a .png that would just be stuck over the selected item.
Good question, one way would be to have a "selected" png that had the glowing circle cover the selected one, and a different just dark png cover everything else.
EDIT: But you would probably want to use a library like jquery rather than coding everything from scrath your self, as to not reinvent the wheel and save TONS of time :D
maybe a PNG image will work, a square with hole

Vertical scrollbar scrollup-scrolldown images look jagged on Qtopia machine

I am trying to use a vertical scrollbar in my Qt project.
The issue is when use the Cleanlooks widget style for the vertical scrollbar,it looks ok on the Linux Ubuntu machine, where Qt-4.3.3 is running.
But,when i run the same project on a Qtopia-4.3.3 Linux(ARM) machine, the scrolldown and scrollup images look totally jagged. They, look very bad. I tried using stylesheets, but without luck. Any suggestions regarding using stylesheets are most welcome.
Is there any way,to overcome this problem?
In my relatively small experience with styles on embedded platforms, some of the styles are designed so they use an image for certain things, and scale it as necessary. This produces very jagged graphics if the source is small and the target it large. One possibility is to inherit your own QStyle from the Cleanlooks style, and override the drawing of the arrow images with your own drawing code. It shouldn't be too hard to draw a proper arrow in code, rather than using an image.
