Im a pure newbie. I made my table by adding the columns from database with iteration:
public void captureDataSuper() {
Connection c;
ObservableList<ObservableList> data;
data = FXCollections.observableArrayList();
try {
c = KonekDB.createConnection();
//SQL FOR SELECTING ALL OF CUSTOMER
String SQL = "SELECT * from adminsupervisor";
//ResultSet
ResultSet rs = c.createStatement().executeQuery(SQL);
/**
* ********************************
* TABLE COLUMN ADDED DYNAMICALLY * ********************************
*/
for (int i = 0; i < rs.getMetaData().getColumnCount(); i++) {
//We are using non property style for making dynamic table
final int j = i;
TableColumn col = new TableColumn(rs.getMetaData().getColumnName(i + 1));
//now its editable
col.setCellFactory(TextFieldTableCell.<Adminsupervisor>forTableColumn());
//trying to make effect on database after edited with setOnEditCommit
col.setOnEditCommit(
new EventHandler<CellEditEvent<Adminsupervisor, String>>() {
public void handle(CellEditEvent<Adminsupervisor, String> t) {
((Adminsupervisor) t.getTableView().getItems().get(
t.getTablePosition().getRow())).set(j, t.getNewValue());
}
}
);
col.setCellValueFactory(new Callback<CellDataFeatures<ObservableList, String>, ObservableValue<String>>() {
public ObservableValue<String> call(CellDataFeatures<ObservableList, String> param) {
return new SimpleStringProperty(param.getValue().get(j).toString());
}
});
supervisorTable.getColumns().addAll(col);
System.out.println("Column [" + i + "] ");
}
/**
* ******************************
* Data added to ObservableList * ******************************
*/
while (rs.next()) {
//Iterate Row
ObservableList<String> row = FXCollections.observableArrayList();
for (int i = 1; i <= rs.getMetaData().getColumnCount(); i++) {
//Iterate Column
row.add(rs.getString(i));
}
System.out.println("Row [1] added " + row);
data.add(row);
}
//FINALLY ADDED TO TableView
supervisorTable.setItems(data);
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
System.out.println("Error on Building Data");
}
}
As you can see, my setOnEditCommit was completely non sense:
col.setOnEditCommit(
new EventHandler<CellEditEvent<Adminsupervisor, String>>() {
public void handle(CellEditEvent<Adminsupervisor, String> t) {
((Adminsupervisor) t.getTableView().getItems().get(
t.getTablePosition().getRow())).set(j, t.getNewValue());
}
}
);
This is the model class Adminsupervisor:
public class Adminsupervisor {
private String id;
private String username;
private String password;
private String userType;
public String getId() {
return id;
}
public String getUsername() {
return username;
}
public String getPassword() {
return password;
}
public String getUserType() {
return userType;
}
public void setId(String id) {
this.id = id;
}
public void setUsername(String username) {
this.username = username;
}
public void setPassword(String password) {
this.password = password;
}
public void setUserType(String userType) {
this.userType = userType;
}
void set(int j, String newValue) {
for (j = 0; j < 4; j++) {
if (j == 0) {
setId(newValue);
}
if (j == 2) {
setPassword(newValue);
}
if (j == 3) {
setUserType(newValue);
}
if (j == 1) {
setUsername(newValue);
}
}
try {
Connection c = KonekDB.createConnection();
String SQL = "UPDATE adminsupervisor SET "
+ "username=" + username + ","
+ "password=" + password + ","
+ "userType=" + userType + " WHERE id=" + id + "";
//ResultSet
c.createStatement().executeUpdate(SQL);
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
System.out.println("Error on Building Data");
}
}}
I got this stack trace:

So my cell wouldnt do anything after edit commited.
data is declared as ObservableList<ObservableList> data; and you fill it with ObservableLists:
while (rs.next()) {
//Iterate Row
ObservableList<String> row = FXCollections.observableArrayList();
...
data.add(row);
}
In the onEditCommit handler you do this however:
public void handle(CellEditEvent<Adminsupervisor, String> t) {
((Adminsupervisor) t.getTableView().getItems().get(
t.getTablePosition().getRow())).set(j, t.getNewValue());
}
t.getTableView().getItems().get(index) returns a ObservableList, which you try to cast to Adminsupervisor which for obvious reasons doesn't work...
You need to use the same type for items and in the handler. Whether you want to use ObservableList or Adminsupervisor is up to you...
Note: Add type parameters to the TableView and the TableColumn, and the compiler should complain about this. By using raw types however, you prevent the compiler from doing those checks (you may get a warning about raw types though).
Furthermore
for (j = 0; j < 4; j++) {
if (j == 0) {
setId(newValue);
}
if (j == 2) {
setPassword(newValue);
}
if (j == 3) {
setUserType(newValue);
}
if (j == 1) {
setUsername(newValue);
}
}
should be rewrittern as
setId(newValue);
setUsername(newValue);
setPassword(newValue);
setUserType(newValue);
j = 4; // not really neccessary since there is no read access to j
At least that achieves the same effect. (But maybe you just added the for loop around those ifs for no reason and it should be removed.)
And also consider removing j as parameter from the Adminsupervisor.set method since the value is never used in method (in the original version it's overwritten with 0 before any read access happens in for (j = 0; j < 4; j++) and in the improved version it's not read at all).
Furthermore the ObservableValue returned by your cellValueFactory will never trigger an update. If you use ObservableList as item type, you could use the Bindings class to get a ObservableValue for a specific index:
col.setCellValueFactory(new Callback<CellDataFeatures<ObservableList, String>, ObservableValue<String>>() {
public ObservableValue<String> call(CellDataFeatures<ObservableList, String> param) {
return Bindings.stringValueAt(param.getValue(), j);
}
});

I am creating a program that needs to save an ObservableList and a Theme (which is a variable) in different archives, but my code doesn't work, I tried to convert my ObservableList into an ArrayList (which is Serializable) but it still throws an error. The error is this:
java.io.NotSerializableException: com.sun.javafx.collections.ObservableListWrapper
And my code is this for serialization:
try{
File file1 = new File("c:/FmsTimer/saveFmsTimer.fmstiming");
FileOutputStream fos1 = new FileOutputStream(file1);
ObjectOutputStream oos1 = new ObjectOutputStream(fos1);
oos1.writeObject(new ArrayList<session>(listS));
oos1.close();
fos1.close();
File file2 = new File("c:/FmsTimer/cfg.fmstiming");
FileOutputStream fos2= new FileOutputStream(file2);
ObjectOutputStream oos2= new ObjectOutputStream(fos2);
oos2.writeObject(myTheme.name());
oos2.close();
fos2.close();
System.exit(1);
}catch(IOException ioe){
ioe.printStackTrace();
}
This is for reading when the program starts:
try {
File file1 = new File("c:/FmsTimer/saveFmsTimer.fmstiming");
FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(file1);
ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream(fis);
ArrayList arraylistTemp = (ArrayList) ois.readObject();
ois.close();
fis.close();
listS = FXCollections.observableList(arraylistTemp);
File file2 = new File("c:/FmsTimer/cfg.fmstiming");
FileInputStream fis2 = new FileInputStream(file2);
ObjectInputStream ois2 = new ObjectInputStream(fis2);
String t;
t = (String) ois2.readObject();
ois2.close();
fis2.close();
myTheme = Themes.valueOf(t);
}catch(IOException ioe){
ioe.printStackTrace();
//return;
}catch(ClassNotFoundException c){
System.out.println("Class not found");
c.printStackTrace();
// return;
}
My "listS" is an ObservableList and "myTheme" is an instance of an Enum, "session" is an Class (which is Serializable by the way).
Thanks and if you need more information just let me know. (PS: sorry if I made some english mistakes, it's not my main language)

The docs on MSDN about Image.Save say that the file remains locked until the Image is disposed.
So I suppose that changing the code that save the images in this way
private void SaveImageByCompressing(HttpPostedFile hpf, string filePath)
{
using(Image imgFromClient = Image.FromStream(hpf.InputStream))
{
string SavetoFullPath = AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory +
filePath.Replace("~/", "").Replace("/", "\\");
Image.GetThumbnailImageAbort myCallbackCompressed =
new Image.GetThumbnailImageAbort(ThumbnailCallback);
using(Image imageToSave= imgFromClient.GetThumbnailImage(imgFromClient.Width,
imgFromClient.Height, myCallbackCompressed, IntPtr.Zero))
{
imageToSave.Save(SavetoFullPath, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg);
}
}
}
public static void SaveThumbImage(string imagePath, string filePath,
int width = 0, int height = 0)
{
using(Image originalImage = Image.FromFile(imagePath))
{
if (width > 0 && height > 0)
{
Image.GetThumbnailImageAbort myCallback =
new Image.GetThumbnailImageAbort(ThumbnailCallback);
using(Image imageToSave = originalImage.GetThumbnailImage(width, height,
myCallback, IntPtr.Zero))
{
imageToSave.Save(filePath, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg);
}
}
else
{
originalImage.Save(filePath, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg);
}
}
}
is a safe way to ensure your images are immediately unlocked when you finish with the upload code
I want to know about implementing a "push" chat server, which uses HTTP keepalive headers. I just came to know two technologies such chat servers use - long polling, and push - but I could not get any concepts regarding what happens behind the scenes.
Can anyone please help me ? Any client side / server side code would be appreciated a lot !!

How do encrypt/decrypt a long or int using the Bouncy Castle crypto routines for BlackBerry? I know how to encrypt/decrypt a String. I can encrypt a long but can't get a long to decrypt properly.

It's probably the conversion from long -> byte[] -> String, in particular the conversion from String back into byte[]. You don't pass in an encoding for String.getBytes() so it's going to be using the default character encoding, which may be altering your data.
My suggestion is to expose encrypt/decrypt methods that take byte[] as an argument, to avoid String/byte[] conversion.
Also, you may want to take a look at the native RIM AES classes, AESEncryptorEngine and AESDecryptorEngine which may be faster than BouncyCastle (since they're native APIs) and require less code.
I just realized that with strong ciphers, the result length is usually/always greater than the length of the original. If it wasn't, a lookup table could be used. As such, its not possible to encrypt a long into a long every time, especially if it uses all 64 bits. If this doesn't make sense, see me for more info:
How do I encrypt a string and get a equal length encrypted string?
I'm having problem decrypting an encrypted file in J2ME using bouncy castle.
What I'm trying to do is select a file to encrypt,write the encrypted file and try decrypt it back to its orginal form (write to another file for verification purpose).
I have this error when reading the encrypted file.

the last function will throw the exception.
I can see one problem. You write test.encrypt file as writer (which converts each byte into char, doubling it). You read it back as InputStream, which reads out bytes. So your encrypted data is corrupted.
