I'm using Visual Studio 2015 with tools for Apache Cordova version 9.
I have an existing project that was working OK but all of a sudden I get
Unable to get Ripple session info for port 9222. Please close all instances of Chrome and try again.
An error occurred trying to attach to the Ripple emulator. Exception: >Operation aborted (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004004 (E_ABORT)).
when using the ripple emulator.
Chrome opens, but instead of seeing my index page the address bar just has my IP address and the page shows a 404.
The project builds/rebuilds fine. This also happens if I create a new blank Apache Cordova app.
I have tried:
deleting .suo and .sln
run VS as administrator
clear cordova cache
clean solution
reboot PC
Repair TACO
reinstall NPM
What else can I try? Is it just me or is TACO this flaky for everyone?
1) Right-click solution in project explorer, click Debug => Start new instance.
2) Go to Project => Properties => Configuration Manager, in top left corner click 'deploy'.

I didn't use my VS10 for a while, and now I've tried to launch some old website of mine that remained untouched so far, but I can't get it running because I get the "Unable to connect to the configured development web server" error. Tried to launch a new empty website but no luck there either, the same issue persists.
I can't change the port number on the left bottom side because it is grayed out for some reason.
Screenshot:
Things I've tried:
Launching a new empty website project
Starting as VS as administrator
Restarting PC
deleting folder C:\Users\USER\Documents\IISExpress and opening VS without it (restored it when I could tell it didn't change anything)
Would appreciate any help!
Try this two suggestions.
First option
In the Solution explorer
Right-click on the web project in visual studio and select properties.
In the menu shown, Select Web from the left bar
Under “Use local IIS server” change the port number
Run the application
Second option
Got to the applications root directory.
Enable Show hidden files from the View option of the window explorer
Delete the .vs directory.
Run the project.
I'm working a ASP.NET MVC project in Visual Studio 2015 (14.0.25431.01 Update 3) that runs IISExpress to debug the application. However, sometimes (and I haven't figure out what the trigger is) when I debug the application my browser will open to the correct URL but it will just say "Unable to connect".
If I try to refresh the window nothing changes. If I check Visual Studio it still says it's debugging so the debugger or IIS doesn't seem to have crashed. Sometimes if I just click Restart it will work fine. However, sometimes this error continues and I have to kill the IIS process. I've tried deleting the files under .vs\config but that didn't help.
Is there any way to fix this or anyway to find some logs to see whats happening? This started in the last few weeks and it starting to drive me crazy.
Edit
Happened again and tried connecting via Chrome as well as my usual FireFox. Looking at the developer tools in Chrome I'm seeing the ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED message.
I decided to check the Windows Event Viewer and found that it looks like IIS Express can't bind to the port. The error message is:
Unable to bind to the underlying transport for [::]:12345. The IP Listen-Only list may contain a reference to an interface which may not exist on this machine. The data field contains the error number.
But why it can't bind to that port I don't understand.
I have a web project (DNN module) that I am developing and I recently updated to Visual Studio Professional 2015 Update 3.
I am using IIS 10 on a windows 10 PC
When I try to F5 / Debug my app I get the following warning on any breakpoints:
the breakpoint will not currently be hit. no symbols have been loaded
for this document
What I have tried to fix this:
I enabled directory browsing inside IIS 10
I Run VS in admin mode / elevated permission
Updated MS ASP.NET and Web Tools extension to latest version
Updated MS ASP.NET Web Framework and tool extension to latest version
cleared out and re-downloaded all debug symbols
Clean and rebuilt in both release and debug mode
Made sure modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true" is set in
system.webserver of web.config
Restart IIS / refresh application pools, and restart website
using a different port for the website
obviously restart computer / and visual studio
I am at a total loss and really need help. I can not figure out why my breakpoints are not being hit, when I debug the site no errors are thrown and the site runs fine.
Other Attempts:
From this SO thread I tried:
Install Update for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 (KB3165756)
From This SO Thread I tried:
disable "just my code" in debug general settings
From User suggestions:
I have tried attaching directly to the w3wp.exe process - no breakpoints hit and visual studio crashes when I try to stop debugging. Also, as soon as I attach the debugger, the website stop workings all together
Question
Can someone help me figure out why my break points are not being hit when debugging from visual studio.
EDIT # 1: Additional attempts
When I debug my application and open the Debug -> Windows -> Modules window I do not see the name of my projects dll / pdb file in the list of Modules. I tried going to Debug -> Options -> Symbols and clicking the Load All Symbols button.
I included a screen shot. My dll or project is named krisisShifts so the dll created in the obj/Debug folder is krisisShifts.dll and KrisisShifts.pdb etc. The blue mark on the image shows the dll is not listed in the loaded modules. Also I included the default attached process Visual studio is using to debug the site marked in Red.
I also deleted the site and application pool from IIS and recreated them with different names, site displays fine, but no breakpoints hit
EDIT 2: Attach to process now works
Not sure what I did. I have been fighting with this all day and afer restarting the computer and visual studio numerous times I can now attach to process w3wp.exe and the breakpoints are hit.
However hitting F5 still does not work. The site loads but no breakpoints are hit and I can see that my projects .dll is not added to the debug modules list (but it is when I attach to process).
I feel like I am closer but still can not figure out why my project .dll is not loaded in the debug modules when hitting f5.
Are you able to attach directly to the w3wp.exe process, and if so are your breakpoints hit then?
Menu > Debug > "Attach to process..."
Check "Show processes from all users"
Look for a process named "w3wp.exe", with the username "IIS APPPOOL\{IIS site name}"
Click "Attach"
I created a Flex app in a Windows XP environment using Flex Builder 3.
From the menubar, I selected "Project->Export Build Release" and moved the files from /bin-release onto my local server (WAMP).
I have a PHP file that connects to a db and delivers some data via XML
Everything works right on my computer. Then I tried to move the app to a mac.
I installed MAMP with the default settings (localhost:8888)
I can connect to the PHP file and get the XML by hitting the appropriate URL on # http://localhost:8888/...
Likewise, I can connect to the html template and the swf executes, but it doesn't seem to be getting the data back, and I don't get any debug info popping up.
Any ideas? Are there security settings enabled by default in Mac OS that would not allow a flex app to request data from a remote resource (i.e. http://localhost:8888/ in this case)?
what is the error that you get?
1. try to catch the FaultEvent
2. do you install any of flash debugger?
The trouble was with the MAMP installation. I reinstalled it, and the app worked.
I am getting the error:
This service instance was suspended by
a BizTalk administrator.
However I didn't force a suspense and it's on my local machine. I get this message all the time with every item i input. The thing is I changed a line in assembly which was a small translation, however this couldn't possibly be the cause. So I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before and what they did to fix this.
Thx
This can happen when you rebuild your Visual Studio project, depending upon the BTS project settings. A newly built DLL cannot be deployed while there are running instances. Check your project properties page (from the Project in Sln Explorer, right-click -> Properties).
Have you ever changed the logon as? this might be the cause of the error.
Check the account which the biztalk is running under:
1- open services console
2- right click the biztalk service instance
3- click properties and click the "logon as tab".
4- Make sure the user is an administrator or part of these groups:
- Administrators
- Biztalk Application Users
- Biztalk Isolated Host Users.
