Openstack dashboard Error: Unable to retrieve usage information, instances - openstack

I installed devStack on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (installed in VirtualBox)
When I login into the dashboard I get this error (in the Overview tab) :
Error: Unable to retrieve usage information
I tried the solution that i found in the net, but no one of them work (a lot of them are deprecated, there is no ./rejoin-stack as as proposed in this solution)
The same problem when i press Instances i get :
Error: Unable to retrieve instances.
And for Volumes tab :
Error: Unable to retrieve volume list.
Error: Unable to retrieve snapshot list.
And for Images tab :
Error: Unable to retrieve images.
In Images tab :
Error: Unable to retrieve security groups.
Error: Unable to retrieve key pair list.
Error: Unable to retrieve floating IP addresses.
Error: Unable to retrieve floating IP pools.
this is my first time installing devStack, I don't know where to check !
I edited the local.conf file exist in devstack/samples, here is the content of the file :

After googling, seems like this is related to
No rejoin-stack.sh script in my setup
Which means devstack is not supposed to working after reboot

In the new version of devstack, the rejoin-stack.sh has been removed.
You can use the screen -c stack-screenrc.

R cmd check note: unable to verify current time

When running R CMD check I get the following note:
checking for future file timestamps ... NOTE
unable to verify current time
I have seen this discussed here, but I am not sure which files it is checking for timestamps, so I'm not sure which files I should look at. This happens locally on my windows and remotely on different systems (using github actions).

The check command relies on an external web resource:

So, unfortunately this requires a fix in the check function by the R development team ... or the web-resource coming online again.
To add to qasta's answer, you can silence this check by setting the _R_CHECK_SYSTEM_CLOCK_ environment variable to zero e.g Sys.setenv('_R_CHECK_SYSTEM_CLOCK_' = 0)
To silence this in a persistent manner, you can set this environment variable on R startup. One way to do so is through the .Renviron file, in the following manner:
install.packages("usethis") (If not installed already)
usethis::edit_r_environ()
Add _R_CHECK_SYSTEM_CLOCK_=0 to the file
Save, close file, restart R

Lucene index gets broken segments after every restart of liferay-tomcat

I have a corrupted Lucene index. If I run "CheckIndex -fix" the problem is resolved, but as soon as I restart tomcat it becomes corrupted again.
The index directory is shared between two application servers running Liferay-Tomcat. I am fixing the index on 1 server and restarting that whilst the other is running. This is a production environment so I cannot bring them both down.
Any suggestions please?

If you access your search index with more than one application server, I would suggest integrating a Solr Server. So you don't have the problem that 2 app servers are trying to write on the same file. This could be error prone as you already found out.
To get Solr up and running you have to follow those steps:
Install a Solr Server on any machine you like. A machine running only Solr would be quite preferable.
Install the Solr search portlet in Liferay
Adjust the config files according to the setup document of Sol Search portlet.

Can anyone please tell me where cloudera does save flume agent file? Actually, I want to create another flume agents like I want to run two flume agent simultaneously but could not find the way to do it.
In CDH 5.3.0, Cloudera has provided a template configuration file named flume-conf.properties.template on following path.

You can make copy of this file and make changes in this file according to your requirement. If you are unable to find file on that path, then here is a sample Flume Agent configuration file.

rsyslog not creating log file

Currently, all my syslogs are logged into /var/log/syslog , And I want local1.* to go to separate log file.
My rsyslog.d/50-default.conf file looks as follows:

But, syslog-analytics.log file is not getting created in the desired location.
Later, I also created that file manually with syslog:adm as the user:group, but still all my logs are logged into /var/log/syslog.
I had the same problem - rsyslogd was creating files under /var/log/ and /tmp/ but refused to create files in /data/log/ or log into those files when I created them manually. File systems permissions were never an issue, everything was world-writeable. This almost drove me mad until I found out that I am on an selinux enforced system (CentOS) where some processes are restricted to certain file system locations.
If you don't care for selinux or want to check if this is the cause of your problems simply turn it off by setting SELINUX=disabled in /etc/selinux/config (needs a reboot!).

How do I tell the R interpreter how to use the proxy server?

I'm trying to get R (running on Windows) to download some packages from the Internet, but the download fails because I can't get it to correctly use the necessary proxy server. The output text when I try the Windows menu option Packages > Install package(s)... and select a CRAN mirror is:

I know the address and port of the proxy, and I also know the address of the automatic configuration script. I don't know what the authentication is called, but when using the proxy (in a browser and some other applications), I enter a username and password in a dialog window that pops up.
To set the proxy, I tried each of the following:

You have two options:
Use --internet2 or setInternet2(TRUE) and set the proxy details in the control panel, in Internet Options
Do not use either --internet2 or setInternet2(FALSE), but specify the environment variables
EDIT: One trick is, you cannot change your mind between 1 and 2, after you have tried it in a session, i.e. if you run the command setInternet2(TRUE) and try to use it e.g. install.packages('reshape2'), should this fail, you cannot then call setInternet2(FALSE). You have to restart the R session.
As of R version 3.2.0, the setInternet2 function can set internet connection settings and change them within the same R session. No need to restart.
When using option 2, one way (which is nice and compact) to specify the username and password is http_proxy="http://user:password#proxy.example.com:8080/"
In the past, I have had most luck with option 2
If you want internet2 to be used everytime you use R you could add the following line to the Rprofile.site file which is located in R.x.x\etc\Rprofile.site
utils::setInternet2(TRUE)
I've solved my trouble editing the file .Renviron as documented in Proxy setting for R.

The solutions based on the setInternet2 statement do not work with the recent R versions because setInternet2 is declared defunct.
I'm using the 4.2.1 (on Win 11Pro) while I never had any problems in previous versions .
So to solve the problem need to modify some config files in order to fix the proxy issue not only for packages installation but, in general, also to acced to a remote resource (ie. boundary maps in my case).
The question "Proxy setting for R" collect a lot of solutions. I've found that this one has solved both my problems (packages installation and remote resources) explaining step-by-step how to edit the file .Renviron
Other solutions based on the customization of the file Renviron.site for me doesn't work
