Designate between 2 diff lists- CSS/HTML - css

If I add another list,how can I make sure it's the list I edit in CSS? Do I assign another div id=? I don't think this will work as In order to edit the TEXT (everything else works in the navbar section besides text-changes) in the dev="navbar, I have to edit the "li {" instead, so if I add another list..how do I target it for changes? Also,I know it's not "properly" formatted, but I'm just trying to understand here.
Here are two images:

I'm confused why I cannot change any of the Li text properties in the #navbar selection? It forces me to make a
li{ designation in order to get that to change.

Wordpress Divi Blurbs with Toggle buttons

I have a page that has a grid of 4 columns each column contains a blurb and a below the blurb it contains a toggle. The blurb text content is not the same. My issues is once I have aligned the toggle buttons of each the column. The toggle buttons do not align. How can I set the blurb and Toggles to line up without plenty of spacing ? I have used align-items:flex-end any other methods I could try align.
Share link will be more helpful to understand the problem. Question is still not clear to me. If its happening on Divi Latest version then check if there having div before the button tag by inspecting the button. If you are confused just take row or column and then put button inside that. It should work.
As usual button contain a or button tag which is not block level element but text level so its taking display as inline or flex instead of block and getting element only spacing. So you ned to put text level element inside block level wrap like first div then button tag to make it alignment. Hope it will help you.
Thanks
I understand from your question that the blurb in each column is a different length, so the toggles do not line up horizontally? To line them up in Divi, first you'll need to make sure the columns are equal heights, and add a class to the row:
In the row settings, go to the Design tab, and enable Equalize Column Height.
Also in the row settings, go to the Advanced tab, and add a Custom CSS Class custom_fixed_toggles.
Now add the CSS to Appearance > Divi Theme Options > Custom CSS (which is located at the bottom of the first tab in Theme Options). Something like:
.custom_fixed_toggles .et_pb_toggle {
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
}

Joomla2.5 bottom menu issue

I am working on a joomla 2.5 site and am required to insert a menu module at the the bottom i.e the footer of the template.I have three items in the middle div ( module ).All i want is that there is some spacing between the three items and also that the menu are displayed inline.so i did add a custom class suffix to the module and am using it in the CSS to exactly match the one i truly require but all i get is somehow my padding set to 0 and the padding-left that i specify in my custom CSS isnt applied.
Please help me with its
Display:inline
spacing between the items.
Please note that this custom CSS should be applied to ONLY AND ONLY this module.because otherwise the whole look of the lists and unordered lists of the site changes.
i am new to it so i am able to exactly figure why it doesnt work
First, in order to affect only the module with the menu you will want to add a module class suffix in the module parameters in the advance module options (it looks like you did that with bottom_footer_menu).
Next, margins don't work on inline elements. You will need to either float the LIs or set them to display as inline-block.

Completely remove sidebar from MediaWiki

How do I completely remove the sidebar from MediaWiki, and I mean in the sense that the content div occupies 100% of the width of the browser space? I've successfully implemented an extension where non-registered users do not have a sidebar or toolbox to begin with and hence the extra space now seems rather superfluous in such cases.
I'm trying to create my own skin from Vector and have tried so far to change the margin-left: 10em and corresponding tags in div#content and mw-panel in the skin's css file but no luck so far.
Why use CSS when you can edit the sidebar menu and have this stored in the database
Navigate to MediaWiki:Sidebar edit the page and remove the components you don't need
If you want to use CSS then you can try,
#sidebar{
display:none;
}
to see if it gives you the desired effect.
Or you can do what dreamweiver said and use JQuery
$('#side-bar').remove()
If, as you are writing, you are creating your own skin, then you simply do not have to print the sidebar! It is there because you have a piece of code in your skin printing it.
Search your skin code for $this->data['sidebar'], and you will find the loop that prints the sidebar.
However, I'm guessing that you skin has some kind of navigation,and rather than reinventing the wheel, I would recommend using the sidebar, with it's built-in functionality (possible to set from MediaWiki:Sidebar, etc), even if you chose to use it in another fashion. it doesn't have to be printed as a sidebar,just because that's the name -- it could be a top menu, a dropdown, ...

Down Arrow On Lists Within Lists

I'm trying to place a down-arrow in my navigation menu, if there is a li within an li.
Hover over the Shop link to see where I'm having difficulty - http://codepen.io/anon/pen/ABucF
The arrow (or V for my demonstration purposes) should be just after the Shop tab, Check Out and My Account, not inside it.
How would I be able to achieve this in the CSS?
Thank you.
You're trying to look at an element to check for a specific condition and style its parent based on that.
CSS can't yet be used to style parent elements unfortunately.
Your best bet is to simply add a class onto each element you want styled and do it that way or to physically place an icon/img in each anchor tag that requires it.
Alternatively use JavaScript to make it happen.
give a class to the parent who has sub child in it i.e Shop
.parent:after{
content:"V";
//or
background:url(image.png) no-repeat position;
}

HTML Select Element

I am trying to style the Select element using http://ryanfait.com/resources/custom-checkboxes-and-radio-buttons/
the options are starting well above the button.
Am not able to style it. could someone help me how to modify it.

If you add a height of 30px to the select.styled class, the menu will appear in the correct location.
