How do you setup the UI like the guy in this video has it? I can only maximize the windows or have them windowed, I'd like it to fill the main area of the window so the tools are along the border. Here's a screenshot of what I see.
File → Preferences → General → uncheck Enable Pop Out Windows option and restart GMS.

Currently when I start my Atom editor GUI (v1.60.0 x64) on Windows 10, I get this screen (warning: red circles added for explanation purpose):
I need to clic 4 times (on the red circles shown in the picute above) to obtain this clean screen:
Is there a way to obtain this screen directly at startup?
Not a complete solution but...
Uncheck the "Show Welcome Guide when opening Atom" checkbox and it will stop the "Welcome" and "Welcome Guide" tabs opening, also submit Telemetry Consent preferences and it will prevent the 3rd tab opening.
You will still need to hide the project pane but 1 click is better than 4 isn't it?
I'm trying to set the media query in chrome to go to print. I tried to follow this post - Using Chrome's Element Inspector in Print Preview Mode?
However, I can't find the Emulate CSS media option under overrides.
Has it been moved? Where should I look for it?
I tried in the Emulation in the console drawer. It's not in their either -
They move it every so often. At the moment it's in the Rendering panel. To find it:
Open the lower panel (press Esc while in the Developer Tools)
Open the Rendering panel from the dropdown
Select Emulate print media
For emulating print CSS, it looks like this now, as of Chrome 49, April 2016.
It's under any of the tabs where you can open the console in the dev tools (pretty much all of them except for the Console tab). For example under Sources, go to the upper right hand of the tools and click the Show Console icon (the icon that looks like a greater than sign with three vertical bars). That should open the console and you should see the Emulation options.
I use ubuntu with LXDE and I wonder if I could add some extra buttons to the standard set of minimize, maximize, close. Is it possible? Shall I dig in X11 sources or of smth else?
X11 does not know anything about window manager. Most probably your question is WM-specific, but you can try to look at ICCCM for generic solution
Window titlebars, borders, and other decorations are created by the window manager in X11, not the X server or libraries, so you'd need to look at the LXDE window manager sources for that.
Is there any way to disable code assist in Aptana Studio 3? It is driving me absolutely insane! It changes things I don't want changed, it just overall gets in the way of my workflow. It was never a problem until the most recent update and ever since that update it's been much more aggressive in it's "assisting." I just want to be able to write the code myself without it messing me up.
To Caldwell,
The thing that you have mention is called Content Asisst. It will show a code-assist when you typing a code related to HTML/CSS.
To disable Content Assist in Aptana Studio 3 is :
Choose Window in the main menu ( menu avaiable on top) → Preferences → Choose Aptana Studio → Content Assist → Look at the Auto-display content asisst then you will see the drop down menu at besides, then click drop-down menu choose Off instead of Default delay.
That's all. Thank you
The issue you are referring to is most likely resolved in the beta of 3.0.4, but if you need to turn code assist off, I would suggest:
a) Preferences > Aptana > Editors (main node)
b) Preferences > Aptana > Editors > JavaScript (for example) and check the activation triggers. You may wish to remove "(" and "." for example.
Found this article trying to turn off the auto-complete of quotes and html tags. This feature is called auto-close. It can be turned off in Windows by going to Window -> Preferences -> Aptana Studio -> Editors. Here there is a "Typing" section of options. Unchecking "Auto-close matching character pairs" and "Wrap selected text with matching characters" did the trick for me.
Anyone know of a skinnable audio player (or something similar to Windows Vista audio control in task bar) that i can embed in my website?
A player that can be customized to
use a 'speaker' icon instead of a
'play' icon. When the speaker is
clicked, the volume can be adjusted
or turned off.
The option of being able to autoplay
and set the default volume level.
dunno if this is any use to you - http://mediaplayer.yahoo.com/
