Digital Crown - Moving Images? - watchkit

Is it possible to use the Digital Crown to move an Object in my WKnterfaceController?
Something like an Image or an Button?
The only thing i found was to use it in a PickerView.

You can use the digital crown to scroll lists. This is the built in behaviour of lists. If you place your image or the buttons in a list, you can move it.

Qt 3D Studio Animating only one element in a slide, while keeping other elements stay where they are

I am working on a project with Qt 3D Studio, I have a concern regarding animating single objects in slide, while rest of the objects are not effected.
To explain, let's consider three Slides "MoveCarRight", "MoveCarCenter" and "SignNoRight". (Please see attached picture to give you idea about my scene.)
"MoveCarRight" is used for moving car to right, "SignNoRight" is used for animating traffic sign on the Z axis so that it enters the scene.
I control those slides from QML side by entering:
presentation.goToSlide("Scene","MoveCarRight")
presentation.goToSlide("Scene","SignNoRight")
However, inevitably I can't control the objects seperately. When I go to slide "SignNoRight", I want the car to stay the same, if it was previously moved to center, it should stay at the center, if it was previously moved to right, it should stay right. Right now, when I enter "SignNoRight" it is always centered.
I would think there would be a simple solution to this, yet I couldn't find it. Any help is greately appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have solved my problem with the introduction of data input controllers. See example: https://doc.qt.io/qt3dstudio/openglruntime/qtstudio3d-qmldatainput-qml-qmldatainput-main-qml.html

Google App Maker - Clickable Image Map

I am attempting to create an apartment complex app for my company.
I want to add an image of the overall floorplan for the apartment complex (I added the image to my app).
Now I'd like to add one of the following:
• custom shaped buttons that line up with each Unit in the complex
or
• Setup a clickable image map on the layout image
I humbly thank you in advance for helping me figure this out!
You can try to split your big image into several small images and made different images clickable.
Or you can put big image on fixed layout, and put buttons on fixed positions something like this
blue circles with icons are buttons.

div with more than four corners

Is it possible to make divs with for example five or six corners?
I need this to make clickable zones on a map. If there is another way to achieve this I would be delighted.
No, you can't. A block in HTML is rectangular.
And even if you change its look using (expensive) css based tricks, the clickable zone will keep rectangular.
But there are several solutions for clickable zones :
simple computations with javascript from the event coordinates on click
the old image-map format
If you want to do it in javascript without image maps, you may be interested by ready algorithms to decide if a point is inside a polygon.
If the map is an image, use a polygon imagemap. There are several web apps that make it easy to create these (just Google "imagemap generator").
If you're using a mapping API like Google, they'll have documentation on creating clickable targets within the map (for example: Google Maps Docs).

Is there a way to use space between buttons in landscape

After much digging I've realised there is no Qt-way to use 3 middle buttons in landscape mode in S50v5, however I don't like to waste this precious space. I've tried to place my widgets there but menu bar is on top and widgets aren't visible.
Is there any way to utilise this space without using native Symbian APIs?
Controlling the stock softkeys in Qt is a pain. The strategy I have used is to make the QMainWindow full-screen with showFullScreen() which allows you to use the softkey space yourself. You will have to make sure any widgets you create are ultimately parents of the main window, and be mindful of this bug when creating pop-ups.

To build a flex volume control component similar to that of Youtube

Hey, I've been assigned to design a flex 3 volume control component similar to the one Youtube players have. I mean, you move the mouse over the volume icon and a vertical slider appears.
My only doubt is about how making this vertical slider to appear and to hide properly.
Should I extend a PopUpButton somehow? Maybe another kind of PopUp component? Or do I really need to program the whole thing in actionscript(that would be just sad and sounds like reinventing the wheel)?
Is anyone able to simply point me in the right direction?
OBS: No need to teach me about skinning, designing.. or any of the rest. :)
No! Don't use a popup. Put a canvas somewhere hidden behind your bar of controls and just set it's visible to true when you mouse over the control.
I don't remember if the youtube slider covers the volume button or appears above it, but either way you can put it in there with a canvas.
If you want it to be one single component, the problem you run in to is that the size will be wrong if you hide the slider in the button component (It will be measured to be the size of the slider, instead of the button). But don't worry! Just override measure() and measure the button instead of both. Then if you set clipContent to false, it can display the slider outside of its bounds
What I suggest is to create a flex control that contains a graphic for displaying the volume meter and a hidden slider.
When you roll over the graphic volume meter you show the slider.
When you roll out the slider or the volume meter then you hide the slider.
I believe that's all
