Visual studio 2015 universal app push notification is missing - push-notification

I am trying to add push notification to my universal windows app.
In VS2013 I could use the add push notification wizard in order to do that and in VS2015 I couldn't find it.
Searching the web I found this:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2967191
Saying that the push notification wizard wasn't support in CTP4.
Am I missing something or the wizard isn't supported for VS2015?
How can I add support for push notification without the wizard?

So I verified it a bit more and it does seems that this is still not supported in VS2015, if you want to do it anyway the easiest way is to do it in VS2013 on a universal app project(windows or phone) and copy the right parts to the new solution. hope they will add the wizard soon

Cannot get Firebase working for Xamarin Forms iOS

I am using Visual Studio 2019 on Windows, developing an App using Xamarin Forms, for Android and iOS. Everything is the latest version.
I am trying to use Firebase to add Push Notification functionality. I have been able to get this functioning for the Android App, but whatever I do seems to fail / not work for iOS.
I have tried using both Xamarin.Firebase.iOS.CloudMessaging and Plugin.FirebasePushNotification with the same result. Starting from a basic app created in Visual Studio, as soon as I add the basic code for the iOS project, the app stops working and just times out after 17 seconds with running any of the project code (no breakpoints are hit).
I also tried downloading this demo app https://github.com/jfversluis/XFFCMPushNotificationsSample. I created my versions of google-services.json (Android) and GoogleService-Info.plist (iOS). The Android app runs but the iOS app does not (times out after 17 seconds).
Having tried so many different samples, examples, options, etc - I am at a complete loss as to what the issue might be. The situation is not helped by me being new to App development & Xamarin Forms!
I appreciate that I haven't added any "I tried this" code, but I'm hoping someone can help me with debugging this. Visual Studio doesn't appear to show anything, can I get more helpful info from the iPhone?
Edit:
For iOS,
I have created a Key and enabled Apple Push Notifications.
I have uploaded the key to the iOS project in Firebase (Cloud Messaging).
I have downloaded the GoogleService-Info.plist file and added it to the iOS project in Visual Studio, and set it to BundleResource
I have enabled Push Notifications in Entitlements.plist
I have enabled Background Modes & Remote Notifications in Info.plist
I am using Automatic Provisioning
I have checked that Bundle Identifier is correct
I have added FirebaseAppDelegateProxyEnabled to info.plist
EDIT 2:
I have manged to get an error message, which happens during the call to
FirebasePushNotificationManager.Initialize(options, true);
{System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Does VS2017 support Edit & Continue in Xamarin forms?

I'm just starting out with Android development using Xamarin in Visual Studio 2017.
This question suggests that E&C isn't possible, but that was a couple of years ago.
Is it still not possible to put a breakpoint somewhere in, for instance, MainActivity.cs, and then edit the surrounding code when it hits the break?
I'm using an Android 6.0 emulator created using the Android Virtual Device manager.
This feature is not yet available in Visual Studio 2017 for platforms like Android and iOS however this works on UWP platform.
In this comment. Rodrigo Kumpera says:
We're constantly evaluating what's the best to do for our users. We
know how awesome it would be to have Edit and Continue - we really do.
That proves that this feature is not yet available.

VS2015 Error while trying to add Push Notification to my Windows 8.1 Universal App project C#

I am using Visual Studio 2015, blank Universal windows 8.1 App template.
Language use C#.
When I run (any project) everything is working just fine, except for one thing, I cannot open the Push Notification Wizard.
When I do the following:
right click on myProject --> Add --> Push Notification... I got the following error:
Error Vs Push Notification Wizard Message
Anybody has an idea what's happening?
Thank you for your time.

Screenshot of vs2015
please help me !!
Thanks,
Ravi.
You may resolve this issue by re-installing/Update the setup.
Restart the setup for VirtualStudio2015. Preview and select the required components to install.
After this you may see everything you want. You know, it's always better to select the features under 'Optional features to install' if you want to get what you want.

Visual Studio 2015 missing emulators

I have VS2015 and VS2013 installed side-by-side. In VS2013 I have a list of emulators to start my app and it works awesome.
But VS2015 only has device in the list. How do I add the phone emulators to Visual Studio 2015?
UPDATE:
After playing around some more I've dug up some new findings.
Creating a new universal JavaScript project has the same issue
Creating a new universal C# project DOES show a list of emulators.
This worked for me!
Although I had CoreCon\12 and vs2015.3 instead of CoreCon\11 and vs2012
Maybe you could fix this issue by deleting this folder
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Phone Tools\CoreCon\11.0
Then open VS2012 again.
If not repairing is always recommended

Rerun the installer. Make sure that the desired options are checked (probably either Windows Phone 8.1 Emulator or Microsoft Visual Studio Emulator for Android, you don't say which emulator you are interested in). If in doubt, just check everything.
If you had unloaded your start project, it may not be your start project anymore after reloading. So do a right click -> Set as Startup Project and then hopefully the emulators will reappear.
