iOS simulator‘s home is black - simulator

Something happened to my simulator, i can't see anything but a black background in my simulator home page.
My environment:Xcode7, OSX10.10.5, all simulators with iOS9.0
I have already clicked the menu:Hardware->Home
Tks for any response.

I solved this problem just reseting content and settings.
On the Simulator menu, go to Simulator -> Reset Content and Settings...

UIImagePickerController shows a blank sheet in Simulator

I have this very odd situation in Xcode 12.01. In one of the simulators iPhone 11-14.0 when calling UIImagePickerController a blank screen pops-up showing no images and even the Cancel button is not visible. It looks like that the screen is not fully loading.
using the call:
PHPhotoLibrary.authorizationStatus()
I have authorisation to access the photo library as it returns status is .authorized:
This is happening for just that particular simulator and the others work as expected.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I finally erase all content and settings from the device menu and it seemed to have resolved the situation.
I was having similar issue. The solution is, upgrade your Xcode to version 12.2, this issue is resolved in Xcode(12.2).
Hop this helps.
Thanks

How to add images to iPhone Simulator?

I have used UIImagePickerController with UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypePhotoLibrary, but it says "No photos".
Where does the simulator get the images from? Where should I copy the images so that they are displayed in the simulator?
Now you can do this easily just by dragging and dropping the images in to Photos app in iPhone Simulator.
Run the simulator
Run Safari on the Simulator
Drag a picture onto Safari running on the Simulator, this opens the image.
Click and hold on the image, or tap on the share icon in the bottom tool bar.
You will get an alert asking if you want to store the image to your phone
If someone gets an error similar to
One or more media items failed to import:
/Users/Username/Desktop/Screenshots/Screen Shot 2021-07-09 at 12.05.29.png: The operation couldn’t be completed. (Cocoa error -1.)
You can try to move the picture to the user's root folder. In my case /Users/Username/Screen Shot 2021-07-09 at 12.05.29.png, and I was able to drag and drop my image from Finder to the simulator.
Open photo on simulator. The gallery will open.
Drag the pic you want into the simulator gallery.
That's it. The pic is now on the gallery.
You can drag files like images or video from your local mac machine to simulator once you open the photos or video list of the iphone.
But make sure you're uploading from Documents folder else it won't get uploaded if you drag files from other folders.

Xcode iOS 7 simulator- no home button?

I have download Xcode today ,and i can't see the home button in simulation.
I was trying to do cmd+1 but it didn't work .
How i get back the home button ?
Cmd-Shift-H
(wasn't obvious to me too when I first opened it)
The Hardware tab will give you access to the home button, as well as other things such as rotate screen, shake screen, and lock the device.
Good luck!

I can't turn off my iPhone after building Project. What to do?

I am building a project. Everything fine. Then I installed that on my iPhone.
My iPhone stack at the front screen and that's it.
Pressing the power off button for long doesn't work.
The xcode says Could not launch "Application Name". permission denied.
Should I just wait till iPhone run out of battery?
Try to restart iPhone using the instructions here:
http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/#section_1
"To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears."
My iPhone5's display became so large that I could not use it. When I tried to reset the size just like I do on my MacPro, it didn't work. So, I thought I'd restart it, but when I pressed the top button, the screen with the "slide to power off" came on and it was not possible to complete the task. It was frustrating and I thought of taking the battery out and putting it in again, but then I thought to try sliding the bar with my stylus pen and it worked immediately.
