I've faced a weird problem on my wordpress website.
I am using the wp_insert_post on front end to save a custom post type and its custom taxonomy. On PC it saves perfectly the custom taxonomy, but when I try to submit on mobile or ipad, then its not saving it.
here's my code:

ARE YOU SURE THE CURRENT USER HAVE CAPABILITY ON WORKING WITH TAXONOMY ? PLEASE CHECK THAT... THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FROM WORDPRESS DOCUMENTATION
"tax_input: Equivalent to calling wp_set_post_terms() for each custom taxonomy in the array. If the current user doesn't have the capability to work with a taxonomy, then you must use wp_set_object_terms() instead."

I have a custom post type called produce set up in WordPress and a custom taxonomy called produce_category.
The URL format for posts in this custom post type is in this format http://mywebsite/produce/%produce_category%/%postname%/. Of course %produce_category% and %postname% get substituted accordingly, a working example url would be http://mywebsite/produce/fruits-and-vegetables/avocado.
What I would like to do is show the produce_category custom taxonomy archive if a user visits http://mywebsite/produce/%produce_category%, without specifying post name at the end, e.g http://mywebsite/produce/fruits-and-vegetables to show all produce in fruits-and-vegetables produce_category.
Besides that when a user visits http://mywebsite/produce/ I would like to show all the produce archive. EDIT: I have this working now.
I know how to create the archive pages totally fine and have no problem with that. I am stuck at creating permalinks. When I visit http://mywebsite/produce/%produce_category% I get a 404 error.
I'm looking for advise on the best way to implement this. Currently I am using Custom Post Type Permalinks and CPTUI.
The CPTUI custom taxonomy settings interface does not allow me to have a blank in the custom rewrite slug. It defaults to the custom taxonomy slug, produce_category, when I don't fill in anything.
This gives the front-side produce_category taxonomy archive url as http://mywebsite/produce/produce_category/%produce_category%/ e.g. http://mywebsite/produce/produce_category/fish-and-seafood/ when what I want for the archive is http://mywebsite/produce/fish-and-seafood/.
Please help with suggestion on the best way I can achieve the custom taxonomy url.

I'm working on a WordPress website and i have a little problem with the custom fields plugin. I'm familiar with plugin and worked with it few times before.
I created a custom field for posts and a custom field for pages.
When i try to get the page's custom field i get it with no problem.
The page has global $post on top and i do get a different $post->ID
for each post loaded.
$pageMonth = get_field('page-month');
But when i try to get the post's field i get nothing.. I also tried it through
the post's loop with $post->ID

I checked myself few times, the custom field names are fine and i did
attached the post and the page to their custom fields and everything..
How can I create my own custom post formats?
Or how can make my custom post type make work with a function like
get_post_format();
For example i have a custom-post type with the type of "accordion" and i like to be able to use it with as content element in the loop, but only if it exists...

So i am looking for a function like
get_custom_post_format();
which does not exists in Wordpress.
Anybody tried something similar?
I'm not sure if you're asking how to create custom post formats or custom post types so I've provided the answer to both.
If you're asking whether you can create custom post formats...
...then the answer is no. See the quote below from Post Formats on the WordPress codex:
The Post Formats feature provides a standardized list of formats that are available to all themes that support the feature. Themes are not required to support every format on the list. New formats cannot be introduced by themes or even plugins. The standardization of this list provides both compatibility between numerous themes and an avenue for external blogging tools to access this feature in a consistent fashion.
If you're asking how to create a custom post type:
The most basic example of creating (registering) your own custom post type is to add the following code to your functions.php file inside your theme.
function register_recipes_post_type() {
$args = array( 'public' => true, 'label' => 'Recipes' );
register_post_type( 'recipe', $args );
}
add_action( 'init', 'register_recipes_post_type' );
The above code hooks our register_recipes_post_type function to be executed when the init action is triggered by WordPress core.
Once you've added this code, if you go to your wp-admin you'll see a new menu on the left called 'Recipes', that's your new custom post type. If you add a new recipe, give it a title and some content, publish it and then try to preview it, you'll notice that you get a 404 error. After creating a new custom post type you need to go to your Settings > Permalinks in your wp-admin, just visiting that page will fix your permalinks to include the new custom post type so if you now go back and refresh the preview of the recipe you just created you'll see that it now works rather than 404s.
Now if you create a new file called single-recipe.php and put some code inside it, just put 'test' now for the purpose of seeing that it works and once you have, refresh the preview of the recipe you just created once again and you should see that it just displays the word 'test'. Using that file you can create a completely custom template to be displayed for showing single entries (posts) of that custom post type, or you could use content-recipe.php if your single.php includes a get_template_part( 'content', get_post_format() ); as you said in your original post.
Obviously your custom post type probably won't be for recipes but just update instances of recipe and recipes to whatever you want it to be.
There are also other post type specific templates you can create too for your archive of the post type etc. The above should be enough to get you started though.

Creating New post format is not allowed currently by WordPress. you can’t define any post format apart from what WordPress allows.

I'm trying to make a plugin.
Its job is to generate and send a link to the author after a post is published by admin.
After clicking on the link will be the post actually published.
I did that after the click on the link there will be a post meta added to the post.
NOW I cant find a solution how to show only posts with the meta or ADMINS (or with some user level) posts.
I decided I need a filter bud I cant figure out how to do the ADMIN posts exceptions.
How do I filter only non-admin posts.
I think I need to remove the "bad" posts from $query but how ?

If you are using wp_query you can use - for negation, e.g.
$wp_query_obj->set( 'author', '-1' );

I have created a custom post type in wordpress called videos. When the admin adds a video he also needs to provide a youtube-id. This can be done by selecting the appropriate custom field from the drop-down list and then entering the ID.
I was wondering though, isn't there a way to always display that custom field when you are adding or editing a video? (And optionally, could you even make it a required field?)
You could use the More Fields or Custom Post Type UI plugins to create the youtube-id field for your video posts.
Youtube Post Type also requires a youtube url before creating a custom post type draft.
