I was trying to change the default port priority on cisco switch and it came with an error as invalid input detected. can someone excplain the mistake in this code !
Switch#
Switch#set ?
<cr>
Switch#set spanning-tree ?
% Unrecognized command
Switch#set spanning-tree portvlanpriority 16
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

The Cisco prompt with the "#" means you are using a switch with IOS, but the "set" commands are for the older Cisco switches that use CatOS. You need to look up the IOS commands to accomplish what you are trying to do. The commands available for the switch will vary based on the switch model and IOS version.

I can't find plugin for Secure FTP.
I need to connect by SSH to remote Linux Machine.

Check if you have NetBox already installed (Alt+F1):
To add a connection, press Shift+F4.
I've also underlined the different tabs where one can change parameters, although usually the first tab is sufficient.

I am doing some research on cellular connections like HSPA. I have been searching for a Windows 8.1 API that will allow me to request the radio to use HSPA instead of LTE.
I have written an app for a window 8 phone and a windows 8.1 tablet. My area uses LTE, but I was able to disable the phone's LTE so it fell back to HSPA+. Unfortunately, I cannot find anything similar for this tablet (Nokia Lumia 2520).
So, I haven't found anything and I am beginning to doubt that I will, but I thought I would check with others before declaring defeat.

I want to send a mail to abc#abcd.com when someone is logging in via FTP. I have tried using /etc/pam.d/vsftpd "session optional pam_exec.so /path/to/my/emailing_script.sh" but it doesn't work (i have tested this script in /etc/pam.d/sshd and it works).
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
In order for vsftp to use the pam sessions you need to enable it in the configuration file:
add (or update) the line
session_support=YES
without that line PAM sessions will not be used so your PAM session module will not be run either.
Look for "session_support" on this documentation page.

I have just recently upgraded to Wheezy. Since I have updated my server will spontaneously kill networking. What logs could I look in to see if I can find the issue? I have looked in /var/log and there are no logs that look relevant that have been updated in the past few days. This server runs headless so re-enabling networking means turning the server off and on again as I can't ssh to it.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
var/log/syslog should have something. You can run dmesg which may pick it up if it's a kernel module problem or something - to find the module name use lspci -v | grep -i ethernet and look for the module name a few lines later (it could be e1000 or something). Use the module name when grepping the dmesg output.
