I'm currently trying to implement a modal that would show up when clicking a link in a navbar. I'm aware that similar questions have already been asked, but none of the solutions could work.
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">My Tool</a>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="bs-example-navbar-collapse-1">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li>FAQ</li>
<li>About</li>
<li><a data-toggle="modal" data-target="#myModal">Add Something</a></li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</nav>
<div class="modal fade" id="myModal" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria-labelledby="myModalLabel" aria-hidden="true">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close"><span aria-hidden="true">×</span></button>
<h4 class="modal-title" id="myModalLabel">Modal title</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
...
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
</div>
</div>
Scripts I'm using are : bootstrap.js, bootstrap.min.js, jquery-2.1.4.min.js
P.S : I've already tried the href="#" in the link.
Thanks for the help!
Try this:
(I only inserted the correct dependencies, your code is working)
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-2.1.4.min.js"></script>
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.4/css/bootstrap.min.css">
<script src="https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.4/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<nav class="navbar navbar-default">
<div class="container-fluid">
<div class="navbar-header">
<a class="navbar-brand" href="#">My Tool</a>
</div>
<div class="collapse navbar-collapse" id="bs-example-navbar-collapse-1">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li>FAQ</li>
<li>About</li>
<li><a data-toggle="modal" data-target="#myModal">Add Something</a></li>

</div>
</div>
</nav>
<div class="modal fade" id="myModal" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria-labelledby="myModalLabel" aria-hidden="true">

I'm calling Bootstrap 5 modal from dropdown but instead of showing content it shows only grey background. What I'm missing?
Here is jsfiddle and here is code:
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="inline-block">
<div class="dropdown">
<button type="button" data-bs-toggle="dropdown" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="true" class="btn btn-primary">Dropdown</button>
<ul class="dropdown-menu dropdown-menu-end">
<li>
<button type="button" class="dropdown-item" data-bs-toggle="modal" data-bs-target="#test">
Launch demo modal

<div class="modal fade" id="test" tabindex="-1">
<div class="modal-dialog">

My modal is housed inside a folder structure of abc/forms/create
I am only able to fire the modal up when on that page, im not quite sure how to get around the issue. for example if i was on the page of abc/forms/record the modal wouldnt fire
Below is my code for the modal (I have removed all inputs and labels etc... to save space

Using Bootstrap 4.4.1, I am facing an issue on clicking outside of static backdrop modal. As you can see in following image and demo when clicking outside of modal it is scaling up the size of Modal content and eventually adding scrollbar to the backdrop. I have test this on Chrome and Firefox and same issue is happening. How can I stop this?

I'm trying to get the "Banana Score" badge to float right, but to no avail. Does anyone know if this is even possible in Bootstrap 4.
I've tried all sorts of variations around flex, the best I had was a hack using columns, but this looks worse than the example below.

Without Css , using bootstrap html classes.
Header 5 (#exampleModalLabel) : add CSS class col-md-10 or w-100
adds:
col-md-10 = position: relative; width: 100%; min-height: 1px; padding-right: 15px; padding-left: 15px;
OR
w-100 = width: 100%;
span (#test) : add (2) CSS classes mt-1 float-right
adds:
mt-1 = margin-top: 1px;
float-right = float: right;

modal-header is flex container already. Add
justify-content-end
I have a minor css issue with my bootstrap footer found in the modal. There is a line that appears going across the top. It appears to be caused by the footer. I had the issue with header as well, but removed it and noticed its in the footer. Can someone take a peak to see what is going on?

overiding .model-footer class will solve the issue.
.model-footer{
border:none;
}
Please let me know if this helped.
The issue is the footer's border-top. You can use this CSS to turn off the border:
.model-footer {
border-top:none;
}
It will work definitely !!
