Appgyver Supersonic Drawer not showing up - css

I have tried to show a left drawer in a Steroids Supersonic example application.
I don't have tabs, I use a root view.
I use the following code in the structure.coffee file (this is the only file I changed):
# Read more about app structure at http://docs.appgyver.com
module.exports =
# See styling options for tabs and other native components in app/common/native-styles/ios.css or app/common/native-styles/android.css
rootView:
location: "example#getting-started"
preloads: [
{
id: "learn-more"
location: "example#learn-more"
}
{
id: "using-the-scanner"
location: "example#using-the-scanner"
}
]
drawers:
left:
id: "leftDrawer"
location: "example#drawer"
showOnAppLoad: false
options:
animation: "swingingDoor"
initialView:
id: "initialView"
location: "example#initial-view"
Nothing shows up on the left side. If I change the showOnAppLoad to true, nothing is visible.
What else should I set?

It was a coffeescript error: the creators of the framework were so smart that the compilation depends on indentation. Great thinking...very constructive.

Just in case if anybody visited this page looking for solution:
in structure.coffee file
// the line below should be intended so it become part of array above it
drawers:
left:
id: "leftDrawer"
location: "home#drawer"
...etc

How to enable NextJS "next/future/image"?

I'm trying to use Next.js next/future/image experimental component.
I upgraded the Next.js version in package.json to "next": "^12.2.0".
Here's my next.config.js file:
/** #type {import('next').NextConfig} */
const nextConfig = {
strictMode: true,
experimental: {
images: {
allowFutureImage: true,
},
},
images: {
domains: ['firebasestorage.googleapis.com',],
},
};
module.exports = nextConfig;
It doesn't allow me to use this feature. Here's the error message in the browser console:
Error: The "next/future/image" component is experimental and may be subject to breaking changes. To enable this experiment, please include `experimental: { images: { allowFutureImage: true } }` in your next.config.js file.
For Next v13 users:
I believe next/future/image is now the default Image component. So no additional work necessary! Just import and use
import Image from 'next/image'
For Next v12.3 users(like the author of this question)
You don't need to add anything to the config to use future/image. The future image is now stable. Just use it directly by importing
import Image from 'next/future/image'
In fact, adding an images property to the config will cause an error, since the config schema has been updated. So don't do that.
// next.config.js
module.exports = {
experimental: {
images: { // This will cause an error
allowFutureImage: true,
},
},
}
The solution that worked for me was to add the experimental rule and stop the nextjs server and restart it. Then it would start working
module.exports = {
experimental: {
images: {
allowFutureImage: true,
},
},
}
I'm currently working with NextJS version 12.3.1, and if I enable it in the next.config.js then I get an ugly warning on the terminal. So it is best to just import Image from "next/future/image" and not add the config to avoid the Warning. Hope others using 12.3.1 find this useful ( using future/image gets rid of the nasty wrapper divs/spans around the )
Warning I'm seeing with config in place:
ready - started server on 0.0.0.0:3000, url: http://localhost:3000
warn - Invalid next.config.js options detected:
- The value at .experimental has an unexpected property, images, which is not in the list of allowed properties (adjustFontFallbacks, amp, appDir, browsersListForSwc, cpus, craCompat, disableOptimizedLoading, disablePostcssPresetEnv, esmExternals, externalDir, fallbackNodePolyfills, forceSwcTransforms, fullySpecified, gzipSize, incrementalCacheHandlerPath, isrFlushToDisk, isrMemoryCacheSize, largePageDataBytes, legacyBrowsers, manualClientBasePath, modularizeImports, newNextLinkBehavior, nextScriptWorkers, optimizeCss, optimisticClientCache, outputFileTracingRoot, pageEnv, profiling, proxyTimeout, runtime, scrollRestoration, serverComponents, sharedPool, sri, swcFileReading, swcMinify, swcMinifyDebugOptions, swcPlugins, swcTraceProfiling, urlImports, workerThreads).
See more info here: https://nextjs.org/docs/messages/invalid-next-config
warn - You have enabled experimental feature (images) in next.config.js.

Set application to remember theme: dark vs light

There is this QML setup to remember application theme:
import QtQuick.Controls 2.0 as QQC2
QQC2.ApplicationWindow {
id: standaloneWindow // ID is required to be able to get properties
Material.theme: Material.Dark // Can be either Dark or Light
Component.onCompleted: {
// On launch, read theme from settings file
standaloneWindow.Material.theme = appSettings.materialTheme
}
Component.onDestruction:{
// On close, write theme to settings file
appSettings.materialTheme = standaloneWindow.Material.theme
}
Settings {
id: appSettings
category: "Theme"
property int materialTheme // Store theme as "int" type in settings file
}
}
Problem
At the very first launch (for example when settings file is deleted), the theme cannot be started with Dark. At the very first launch, the app always starts with Light theme, no matter what!
Cause
When there is no settings file, the appSettings.materialTheme becomes 0 which is default for int type. Consequently, 0 is equivalent to Material.Dark enum. That's why application always starts at dark mode when there is no settings file.
Question
How can I make the application start with light mode, even when there is no settings file?
Tried so far
I tried to use alias rather than int, but standaloneWindow doesn't have a property to bind to Material.theme:
Settings {
// ...
property alias materialTheme: standaloneWindow.???
}
Any suggestion?
As commented by #Mitch , problem got resolved by:
Settings {
id: appSettings
category: "Theme"
// Set dark theme to be default for the very first launch (when settings file is NOT available)
property int materialTheme: Material.Dark
}

How do I set the grid cell size in Storybook 5?

I'm using Storybook v5.2.6 and am trying to change the size of the grid lines shown in my stories.
After adding #storybook/addon-backgrounds a toggle grid button appears in my Storybook toolbar. Clicking the button plots a 20px grid:
I want to globally change the grid size to be 8px and I have tried the following:
import { configure, addParameters } from '#storybook/react';
import { create } from '#storybook/theming/create';
const storyBookTheme = create({
gridCellSize: 8,
grid: { cellSize: 8 }, // alternative approach
brandTitle: 'Hello, World!',
});
addParameters({
options: {
theme: storyBookTheme,
},
...
});
configure(require.context('../stories', true, /\.stories\.js$/), module);
I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to use this parameter globally, but it seems to be the correct approach because:
In the Storybook 'Kitchen Sink' repo, the gridCellSize parameter is set like this, along with other theme variables.
In PR #6252 the author makes a change to "Pick up gridCellSize from Theme configuration options"
So I thought my above attempt would work, however a 20px grid is still plotted.
In the release notes for Storybook 5.2.0-alpha.43 they mention the breaking change:
"Move grid toolbar feature to background-addon".
However, there are no migration instructions
So, the question is, how do I set the grid cell size?
Update
I've upgraded to Storybook 5.3.0-beta.19 and can now set the grid size on a story-by-story basis, but I'm still unable to set this globally.
Button.story = {
parameters: {
grid: { cellSize: 8 },
},
};
After trying various permutations, I've stumbled upon the correct configuration.
This works with Storybook 5.3.0-beta.19. I'm not sure about earlier versions.
Rather than setting the gridCellSize parameter in the theme, you need to add grid: { cellSize: 8 } to the configuration parameters. In your config.js file, do the following:
import { configure, addParameters } from '#storybook/react';
import { create } from '#storybook/theming/create';
const storyBookTheme = create({
brandTitle: 'Hello, World!',
});
addParameters({
grid: { cellSize: 8 }
options: {
theme: storyBookTheme,
},
...
});
configure(require.context('../stories', true, /\.stories\.js$/), module);

ExtJS Combobox not rendering properly

I have the following fieldset in a form Panel in the Admin Dashboard template using ExtJS 6.2:
{
xtype: 'fieldset',
layout: 'anchor',
items: [{
xtype: 'combobox',
listeners : {
select : function() {
console.log(arguments)
console.log(arguments[1].data.birth_date)
console.log(arguments[1].data.first_name)
console.log(arguments[1].data.last_name)
console.log(arguments[1].data.sex)
}
},
bind: {
store: '{patients}'
},
reference: 'patientCombo',
publishes: 'id',
fieldLabel: 'Patient Search',
displayField: 'mrn',
//anchor: '-',
// We're forcing the query to run every time by setting minChars to 0
// (default is 4)
minChars: 2,
queryParam: '0',
queryMode: 'local',
typeAhead: true,
// https://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?156505-Local-combobox-with-any-match-filter
doQuery: function(queryString, forceAll) {
this.expand();
this.store.clearFilter(!forceAll);
if (!forceAll) {
this.store.filter(this.displayField, new RegExp(Ext.String.escapeRegex(queryString), 'i'));
}
}
}, {
// https://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?299301-Bind-combobox-displayField-value-to-displayfield
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'Selected Patient',
bind: {
html: '<p>Name: <b>{patientCombo.selection.first_name}, ' +
'{patientCombo.selection.last_name} </b></p>' +
'<p>Sex: {patientCombo.selection.sex}</p>' +
'<p>Birthdate: {patientCombo.selection.birth_date}</p>'
}
}]
},
It is working fine, but it is rendering rather strangely, as seen in the following image (I had to mask the data being presented, but the numbers are what to be selected from the combobox):
I am assuming this is a CSS issue, but have not been able to figure out what. NB: I had to copy Admin-all.css Admin-all_1.css Admin-all_2.css and Admin-all_3.css from the build/examples/admin-dashboard/classic/resources folder to the app after I created the template in order to fix a major layout issue.
Yes, this is a CSS issue. The Admin Dashboard example and its CSS have been compiled using Sencha Cmd, so the CSS file contains only the styles required by the example. Since there is no combobox in the example, the combobox styles have not been added and the combobox you inserted does not render correctly.
The only solution would be to use Sencha Cmd to recompile from source and fix the layout issue along the way, which I guess is caused by a missing requires directive.

How could I embed a HighCharts interactive graph into a wordpress 3.5.1 page?

My name is Josh and I work for a community college newspaper. I've just recently found Highcharts and have been attempting to embed a interactive graph into a post for our website, rather unsuccessfully. Actually, it's been a complete failure.
I have already read over and attempted this post to no avail:
highcharts and wordpress
There's no one I know who I can take this problem to and even though I feel like I've tried every suggested solution, Unfortunately, I'm rather illiterate when it comes to html and code. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
I am working with Wordpress 3.5.1 Here is the point I am currently at:
I am running: Allow PHP in Posts and Pages Plugin & Interactive Javascript and CSS.
For the header option of the post I have:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.9.2/jquery-ui.js"> </script>
<script src="http://www.domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/highcharts1.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
In some of the websites (this one included), I've seen mention of uploading the Highcharts library onto your wordpress server. I've uploaded the highcharts.js file through the media library but I have a feeling that I am doing this incorrectly?
In the post itself I have placed:
$(function () {
var chart;
$(document).ready(function() {
chart = new Highcharts.Chart({
chart: {
renderTo: 'container',
type: 'line',
marginRight: 130,
marginBottom: 25
},
title: {
text: 'State Funding of DSPS Services',
x: -20 //center
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Source:MPR Associates Report',
x: -20
},
xAxis: {
categories: ['2003-04', '2004-05', '2005-06', '2006-07', '2007-08',
'2008-09', '2009-10', '2010-11', '2011-2012', '2012-13']
},
yAxis: {
title: {
text: '$ Million'
},
plotLines: [{
value: 0,
width: 1,
color: '#808080'
}]
},
tooltip: {
formatter: function() {
return '<b>'+ this.series.name +'</b><br/>'+
this.x +': '+ this.y +' Million';
}
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
align: 'right',
verticalAlign: 'top',
x: -10,
y: 100,
borderWidth: 0
},
series: [{
name: 'College Total Funding',
data: [77.8, 81.8, 86.2, 102.1, 109.3, 108.9, 64.9, 64.8, 64.6, 65.7]
}]
});
});
});
<div id="container" style="width: 100%; height: 400px"></div>
The page comes up blank, as it has been for the past hundred attempts or so. I apologize if this is post in the wrong spot or undesired. Any advice or solutions are greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
J
In order to get a chart rendered, you need several things to be in place:
Include the highcharts.js - done
Include some javascript which defines and creates a chart - done
Give highcharts a place to put the chart - ?
I think you may be missing the last element. This is done by including a tag inside your post somewhere. The div can be named using the 'id' property as follows:
<div id='container'>mydiv</div>
You have already told highcharts that you want to 'renderTo' a place called 'container', so this should be all you need.
To add this in wordpress, go into the post editor and make sure you are in 'html' mode. In my version of wordpress, this is a tab just to the top right of the post editing pane with the options 'visual' and 'html'.
In html mode, just add my div code in the place where you want the chart to appear. Hopefully that will do the trick.
there could be several reasons for the chart not showing up.
1)The scripts (jquery and highcharts) need to be loaded onto your page and this is not immediately obvious in wordpress. There's a couple of ways - if you aren't a coder then the simplest is to go to the header.php of your theme. (Appearance->Editor) and look for the header.php file on the right hand side. In the head section you'll need to register the highcharts library...
wp_register_script('myHighchartsHandle','highcharts/js/highstock.js',array('jquery'),'1.0a');
wp_enqueue_script('myHighchartsHandle');
The path to the high stock/highcharts library will change depending on where it is on your server of course.
2) The code is javascript - your supplied code has php tags. I think you could edit that to have js tags in the square brackets and install the 'Allow javascript in posts and pages' plugin. Note that plugin needs you to prefix any square brackets in code with a backslash so you'll need to do that to get the data series formatted properly.
3) It does look like you have a div container outside of your code which is good. But as the other answer suggest you will need that and the id has to match the renderTo in the code.
4) If it doesn't work after these 3 steps then you could be falling foul of jQuery noConflict.Wordpress sets jquery in this mode by default.
Instead of $ in your js code you may have to replace with jQuery. The highcharts library is ok in the code you've used.
Happy to help more if required. I have since built much of this into a plugin which is much cleaner...
