Websphere 8.5- Application cannot get image from symlink - websphere-8

I have installed Websphere 8.5 and update to Websphere 8.5.5.4, OS: Redhat 6.3
I have installed Application is apptest.war
I have created symlink in folder apptest.war link to Folder on system:
ln -s POSImage /Images
I checked permission folder POSImage and /Images full permission
when I get image in folder /POSImage by URL below show error:
http://192.168.5.4:9080/apptest/POSImages/POS_543956_1425272116854_picture1.jpg
Error 404: javax.servlet.ServletException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /POSImages/POS_543956_1425272116854_picture1.jpg
but upload images from Application to Folder POSimage is good.
Please help me.

I am no expert by any means, but I have been doing some very similar stuff recently myself. I have a few things to say that MAY help.
1: When I do my link creation, I do the creating in he directory in which I want the link created.
2: I also use the full path for the link. So, the syntax looks like:
ln -s /full/path/to/file/or/directory linkName
3: Finally, I do not include the / that I see in your syntax (/Images).

missing .dependencies in user/ when bin/grav

I'm trying to install Grav on Heroku following the learn.getgrav.org docs.
I've got the web app deployed successfully, however it tells me to bin/grav install.
I do that and it gives me the following output:
ERROR Missing .dependencies file in user/ folder
I do not know what to do at this point as it's happened everytime I've installed Grav.
Hope this will be solved.
Sadly this problem is all too common when copying files :(
hidden (dotted) files are not always copied.
.dependencies
.htaccss
using ls -l -a in the folder where you extracted the files originally Dowloads/grav I could see the files that were not copied to fix it
cp .dependencies .htaccss /var/www/grav/
When I install GRAV on my server each time, I always copy the Zip file to the server, unzip it in place, then remove the zip file - using this method I have never had a problem with the installing of GRAV

Nginx fails to create directories on Windows 10 with error: nginx: CreateFile()...failed

I need to find a way/setting to allow Nginx to run a .bat file that will create directories and files via a WINDOWS service; my OS is Windows 10.
Currently, our windows service fails to create directories and files with the following:
CreateFile()
"C:\someForlderName\build\distribution.\nginx/logs/error.log" failed
(3: The system cannot find the path specified)
Somehow Nginx doesn't have enough permissions to perform write-access operations like creating directories such as /logs/ and /temp/ within the /Nginx/ directory.
Anybody ran into this problem before?
I was facing the same problem, sharing the thing that worked for me.
Nginx is showing this error because... nginx didn't find the error.log file..
For that,
Go to you nginx folder where other folders like conf, docs, html etc are their as.
Create folder name logs, and in that folder create a file name error.logas.
see the right way in picture..
If your Nginx is at D:\nginx\nginx.exe, execute this to start nginx
D:\nginx\nginx.exe -c D:\nginx\conf\nginx.conf -p D:\nginx\
For Nginx on Windows, you need to execute nginx server related command from respective home directory where nginx configuration file is located.

Openshift JBoss Logging

Hi I am deploying my spring application to Openshift Jboss AS. The problem is whereever i placed the log4j.properties it is not read by the application. I've tried the following ways to achieve this but can't.
Placed my log4j.properties in WEB-INF/classes.
Placed my log4j.properties in WEB-ING/resources and in web.xml loaded the
context-param for log4jConfigLocation.
Created a
jboss-deployment-structure.xml in META-INF which excludes log4j
logging.
Nothing seems to work . Can some one please help me.
In Jboss there is a default logging available, which can be implemented by modifying standaole.xml.
In Openshift when you ssh into your app using the below command
rhc ssh <app-name>
You will taken into your application where when you give ls command you will see the list of files and folders, you can find jbossas folder change your working directory to that folder
cd jbossas
execute ls command you will see list of folders where you will find standalone folder, change your working directory to this folder
cd standalone
again execute ls command you can see configuration folder, change your working directory to this
cd configuration
now if you execute ls command you can see standalone.xml, we need to edit this file, but editing here may not work because this standalone.xml is a copy of the another file which is in the following folder .openshift/config/standalone.xml . You can find this folder where you clone your git copy, Not in eclipse go to your working directory in window.
We need to edit this file and add our logging properties here. thats how it works

Drush not recognizing drupal root folder

This one is driving me crazy.
Whenever i use "drush dl" to download site_audit or drupalgeddon it downloads these modules inside the drush home folder ( /users/[user]/.drush ) instead of the current sites modules folder.
the "drush status" and the "drush #site-alias status" command gives me the correct site information, see below:
C:\wamp\www\drupal>drush dl site_audit
Install location C:\Users\Thomas/.drush/site_audit already exists. Do you want
to overwrite it? (y/n): n
Skip installation of site_audit to [warning]
C:\wamp\www>drush #drupal status
Drupal version : 7.34
Site URI : localhost/drupal
Database driver : mysql
Database username : root
Database name : drupal
Default theme : garland
Administration theme : garland
PHP executable : php.exe
PHP configuration : C:\Users\Thomas.drush\php.ini
PHP OS : WINNT
Drush version : 6.0
Drush configuration :
Drush alias files : C:\Users\Thomas/.drush/aliases.drushrc.php
Drupal root : /mamp/htdocs/drupal
Site path : sites/default
File directory path : sites/default/files
Also, when i try to download a module that already exist in the current sites modules folder it tells me so correctly. Same goes for the "en" command. I can also disable or uninstall modules successfully. Uninstalling does not remove the folder, tough.
The only thing i have noticed is that "drush configuration" does not show a path. However, i did copy the example file inside the .drush home folder AND one inside the sites/all/drush folder (i removed the 'example' from the filename off course).
Running windows 8 and tried both MAMP and WAMP with same results. I really hope someone can help me with this cause i am pulling my hair here.
Update:
I tested the dl command with other modules and they are downloaded to the correct folder. I cleared the drush cache several times. Yet site_audit and drupalgeddon keep getting downloaded to the wrong folder. I just don't get it.
Stupid me. These are both not modules but Drush extensions, hence the alternative download locations.
I think the real problem is, that you didn't specify the site-alias in your "drush dl" statement.
You run
drush #site-alias status
containing the site-alias, but
drush dl site_audit
without a sie-alias. I suppose you are in the drush folder, as drush downloads to the current folder, if no root folder is given explicitly or via site-alias.

Drush generates .make file on server but it is not in the working directory?

I am a Drupal newbie and trying to clone my site which is hosted on an Aegir server (using BOA). I ran 'Drupal generate-makefile' command in the working directory (the directory in which site is located) and the file did get generated - but it is not in the working directory. I also tried forcing a path using 'Drupal make-generate path/to/store/makefile/makefilename' but the command ran and ended with an error 'call to an undefined function drush_make_error()'. Any ideas where the file may be getting generated? Also, any tips on how I can force a path for .make file would be really helpful!
Maybe it depends on your Drush version, but with Drush 5.x the makefile is sent to stout.
This is how I use make-generate if I want my makefile written in /root/:
drush make-generate -r /path/of/my/drupal/installation > /root/drupal-org.make
