Drupal panels module is shown missing but installed - drupal

I'm new to Drupal (v7.3.4) but so far install is ok except for panels module is shown to be "missing". It is in the modules folder with all other modules (the rest all show fine). I've reinstalled and no change.
I tried a lower version and I get a wrong version popup.
Any suggestions?

I assume you are saving the panels folder in sites/all/modules and not the /modules folder. If not, move panels to the correct folder. Any modification to the core installation should be saved within /sites/all or sites/default.
If that is not the culprit, try clearing cache.

I had same with other module - make sure that you have exact one panels.module file in your modules folder. Maybe you made two copies? or maybe you did /panels/panels by mistake? Also try to search for that file whole drupla folder

Can't change the css in SuiteCRM

I am working on SuiteCRM, and i want to change the CSS of my website in order to personalize it but there is an issue.
When i am changing the "style.css" of the SuiteP Theme, the pages aren't changing at all. Here is my question:
Does someone know how to change the css of this CRM and can help me to fix it ?
Thanks a lot
Make sure that your active theme is "SuiteP".
You need to know that SuiteCRM store things inside "cache" folder and you are doing changes without refreshing cache files. Cache files location will be cache/themes/SuiteP/css/style.css. So for quick changes, you can use browser developer tools.
Moreover, if you change core style.css then empty cache directory and (hard)refresh your browser. If cache files don't exist then Suite will build new using core file.
Like Star previously mentioned, Suite does cache the CSS.
Though, if you're not updating the SASS file, and just updating the CSS directly, your changes will be temporary for when the CRM next re-builds the CSS (I believe this is part of the Repair and Rebuild process in the admin section), your changes will be lost as the CSS file constructed from the style.scss file.
I'd recommend installing sass (via a gem or other means, however you choose), making changes to the scss then recompiling the css (or watching for changes if working locally, which I hope you are for working with Suite) when you've applied your changes.
If you still don't experience changes, try a repair and re-build or delete the cache directory and let it recompile on the next page load.
there are 2 options:
change core file and then delete cache contents. Refresh your page twice.
made changes in cache file. Make sure developer mood is off. Once you are done then copy it core file.
Create a new subfolder CUSTOM, copy the CSS files that are under suiteP (or the current theme) into the new custom. copy the whole path with folders, even if the folders are empty.
So the new path for the sytle.css with be /costum/theme/....../css/sytle.css
Change the file under the custom folder. The previous answers are not correct. This is well documented under the suite CRM docs.
Sometimes it doesn't work. Try next steps:
SuiteCRM better to use in development mode.
Not always the cache files deleting works for me. Better to use the tool in Admin panel - Quick Repair.
Sometimes good to clear browser cache (in dev mode reload a page by right clicking the refresh button).

Configuring Sage by Roots.io - SASS issue

I am trying out Roots.io start-up theme Sage. I've just installed and configured everything locally and everything seemed to install correctly. However I am having issues with the SASS and JS files loading. I have followed the docs and installed everything correctly but the stylesheets and JS files aren't loading correctly. https://roots.io/sage/docs/.
If I check my source, I see the files are being compiled into one stylesheet and js file under:
/wp-content/themes/themename/dist/styles/main.css
/wp-content/themes/themename/dist/js/main.js
However, these files aren't being picked up when the pages are loaded. These links are leading to 404 pages.
Do I need to install anything else? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance.
The files under the Assets folder are used instead, and dist folder is used to actually when releasing your product.

Silverstripe install admin js errors

For some reason my admin screen just hangs with some javascript errors. I have it installed on xampp on windows 7 ultimate 64bit. What could be causing this? Ill post a screenshot of the errors any help would be nice! p.s. This is my first time installing silverstripe ever so be nice. :)
This sort of things usually occurs when combined asset files cannot be created. Make sure the web server user has write access to the assets/ and assets/_combinedfiles folders, then go to your-site.com/admin/pages?flush=1.
Alternatively, since this is a local install, run in dev mode. There are instructions in the documentation on how to set this.
As indicated by #simon_w, this issue occurs due to the folder permissions:
In your local environment, in addition to the way via yml config, you can just put the following in _config.php inside mysite folder.
Director::set_environment_type("dev");
In dev mode, the installation doesnt need to write to assets/_combinedfiles. However, you had better have write permission for assets folder anyway.
So, just increase permissions for assets and directories under it. Uploaded files are also stored there, if not sufficient permission, you can't upload files from the admin panel. Other functionalists may also be affected.

moving a Drupal installation - what configuration changes required?

I would like to move a test Drupal installation from
/opt/lampp/htdocs/corporate/internet
to
/corporate/internet
What corresponding changes changes do I have to make in .htacess, settings.php and/or other settings?
That depends on that how your sites/ directory is set up. If you just have a default directory within, they you really should be good to go.
Mostly, you don't have to make changes. This is because Drupal installations tend to be set up to use relative paths that will be valid no matter where in the system it is. You may want to do a quick search of any custom code for the string /opt/lampp/htdocs to see if someone didn't do something relatively, but any other contrib code should work fine.
As Jubal mentions, sites set up in the sites directory may need renaming if you're going to be using a different URL to access the site - if you're moving from devel.site.com to www.site.com, and you have a sites/devel.site.com directory, then you're probably going to want to copy that directory to sites/www.site.com. On the other hand, if you're using sites/default for your site, or if you're not changing the url at all, then this isn't a problem.
Do note that the .htaccess in the root directory of Drupal is very important for Drupal to work, and that doing a simple cp -R of the directory will not copy the .htaccess, so make sure you copy that. (.htaccess files in sub-directories, like sites/default/files, will be fine, it's just this one in the root.)
And finally, check your file permissions after you move the files. You'll especially want to make sure that the file permissions for the files and tmp directories are correct so that people can properly upload files. (This may not be important - but it's something to check nonetheless.)

Drupal installing another language

I Downloaded the http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/nl-6.x-1.5.tar.gz file from Drupal Translations page. The readme file says to "Copy (merge) the content of this translation package into your Drupal installation root directory".
If i look at the package it has a few text files and a modules, profiles and themes folders. If I copy those in the root (so MAMP/sitename/) it overwrites a bunch of files (there are already modules and themes folders there ...) and whatever page I load on the site gives fatal errors.
Is it possible that on MAMP / Mac Unarchiver doesn't do copy/merge but actually Replaces the old modules folder with this new one?
What should happen, is that the relevant .po files are places in the folders where they should be. If things go wrong, what you'll end up having, would be a folder with all the .po's, in a nested set of folders.
In theory I guess it's possible to overwrite folders etc, but you would be opted to allow that first.
So you shouldn't be afraid that your entire Drupal install will be overwritten. You can just try to do the unpack and see what happens. Worst case, is that you'll need to place the files in the correct folders yourself.
I can't speak to Unarchiver, but if you're overwriting files then something's not behaving correctly. All the translation packs really do is add some additional files and folders (e.g. /modules/user/tranlsations/modules-user.nl.po to /modules/user).
My guess is that your whole /modules/user directory (along with all the others) is being replaced, rather than added to.
Have you tried merging the folders in Terminal? You should be able to merge these folders directly from tar. Comment back if you would like more detailed instructions on how to do that.
