Find the TITLE of current webpage open in WebEngine [[JAVAFX]] - javafx

I am coding a Web Browser based on Javafx. I want to fetch the TITLE of webpages currently open in the WebEngine.
Thankyou :)

A mutch better and nice way is just use the WebEngine.getTitle()
Here is an example how to use it:
stage.titleProperty().bind(webView.getEngine().titleProperty());

Once the document is loaded you can use the DOM API to find the title. (I generally dislike the DOM API, but here's how you'd do this.)
private String getTitle(WebEngine webEngine) {
Document doc = webEngine.getDocument();
NodeList heads = doc.getElementsByTagName("head");
String titleText = webEngine.getLocation() ; // use location if page does not define a title
if (heads.getLength() > 0) {
Element head = (Element)heads.item(0);
NodeList titles = head.getElementsByTagName("title");
if (titles.getLength() > 0) {
Node title = titles.item(0);
titleText = title.getTextContent();
}
}
return titleText ;
}

Just a different implementation of #James_D excellent answer (little less verbose, little more Java 8 style):
private String getTitle(WebEngine webEngine) {
Document doc = webEngine.getDocument();
NodeList heads = doc.getElementsByTagName("head");
String titleText = webEngine.getLocation(); // use location if page does not define a title
return getFirstElement(heads)
.map(h -> h.getElementsByTagName("title"))
.flatMap(this::getFirstElement)
.map(Node::getTextContent).orElse(titleText);
}
private Optional<Element> getFirstElement(NodeList nodeList) {
if (nodeList.getLength() > 0 && nodeList.item(0) instanceof Element) {
return Optional.of((Element) nodeList.item(0));
}
return Optional.empty();
}

how to handle xpath with html-agility-pack

I'm trying to scrape some data from aliexpress using c# and html-agility-pack.
Usually, the xpath of some element looks like this :
/html/body/div[7]/div[2]/div[4]/div/div/div[2]/div[1]/div[2]/div/div[1]/a
But when i try to copy the xpath of an element in aliexpress it looks like this :
//*[#id="node-gallery"]/div[4]/div/div/ul/li[1]/div[1]/div[1]/a
and then the list of nodes return null and the program can't make any progress.
var html = #"https://best.aliexpress.com/?lan=en";
HtmlWeb web = new HtmlWeb();
var htmlDoc = web.Load(html);
var nodes = htmlDoc.DocumentNode.SelectNodes("//*[#id]/div/div[2]/div/div[2]/dl//dd/div/div[2]/ul/li//a");
if (nodes.Count <= 0)
{
Console.WriteLine("nothing found");
}
else
{
foreach (HtmlNode n in nodes)
{
Console.WriteLine(n.Attributes);
}
}
Console.ReadKey();
Indeed when you hover over those items an API request is made. You can probably find the detail in one of the source files however looking at the first 2 in the network tab they have the following pattern (url decoded):
https://best.aliexpress.com/api/load_ams_path.do?path=aliexpress.com/common/#langField/ru/c-women-content.htm
https://best.aliexpress.com/api/load_ams_path.do?path=aliexpress.com/common/#langField/ru/c-men-content.htm
I suspect the others follow suit.
You can make requests to these endpoints to get the html you can then retrieve you desired content from. To get the href for the xpath element matched in browser by your xpath you could do the following:
fiddle
using System;
using HtmlAgilityPack;
public class Program
{
public static void Main()
{
string url = "https://best.aliexpress.com/api/load_ams_path.do?path=aliexpress.com/common/#langField/ru/c-women-content.htm";
HtmlWeb web = new HtmlWeb();
var htmlDoc = web.Load(url);
var nodetest1 = htmlDoc.DocumentNode.SelectSingleNode("*//li[#class='sup-brand-item'][1]/a");
Console.WriteLine(nodetest1.Attributes["href"].Value);
}
}

Swashbuckle rename Data Type in Model

I'm putting together a web API that needs to match an external sources XML format and was looking to rename the Data Type objects in the swagger output.
It's working fine on the members of the class but I was wondering if it was possible to override the class name as well.
Example:
[DataContract(Name="OVERRIDECLASSNAME")]
public class TestItem
{
[DataMember(Name="OVERRIDETHIS")]
public string toOverride {get; set;}
}
In the generated output I end up seeing
Model:
TestItem {
OVERRIDETHIS (string, optional)
}
I'd hope to see
OVERRIDECLASSNAME {
OVERRIDETHIS (string, optional)
}
Is this possible?
Thanks,
I had the same problem and I think I solved it now.
First of all add SchemaId in Swagger Configuration (from version 5.2.2 see https://github.com/domaindrivendev/Swashbuckle/issues/457):
GlobalConfiguration.Configuration
.EnableSwagger(c =>
{
c.SchemaId(schemaIdStrategy);
[...]
}
Then add this method:
private static string schemaIdStrategy(Type currentClass)
{
string returnedValue = currentClass.Name;
foreach (var customAttributeData in currentClass.CustomAttributes)
{
if (customAttributeData.AttributeType.Name.ToLower() == "datacontractattribute")
{
foreach (var argument in customAttributeData.NamedArguments)
{
if (argument.MemberName.ToLower() == "name")
{
returnedValue = argument.TypedValue.Value.ToString();
}
}
}
}
return returnedValue;
}
Hope it helps.
Pretty old question, but as I was looking for a similar solution, I bumped into this.
I think the code in Vincent's answer might not work.
Here is my take on it:
private static string schemaIdStrategy(Type currentClass)
{
var dataContractAttribute = currentClass.GetCustomAttribute<DataContractAttribute>();
return dataContractAttribute != null && dataContractAttribute.Name != null ? dataContractAttribute.Name : currentClass.Name;
}
Adding to the thread as I am not able to use the answer with Swashbukle for AspNetCore.
I am doing this. However I am not totally happy as if the object is contain in another object it is showing its original name. For example if you have a result set that is Paged That result is shown incorrectly.So this is not a final answer but might work on simple use cases.
I am using a Schema Filter. And the object just have [JsonObject(Title="CustomName")] as I get the Title property for the data type.
First Define a class like this:
public class CustomNameSchema : ISchemaFilter
{
public void Apply(Schema schema, SchemaFilterContext context)
{
if (schema?.Properties == null)
{
return;
}
var objAttribute = context.SystemType.GetCustomAttribute<JsonObjectAttribute>();
if( objAttribute!= default && objAttribute?.Title?.Length > 0)
{
schema.Title = objAttribute.Title;
}
}
}
On the startup you must configure a SchemaFilter
c.SchemaFilter<CustomNameSchema>();

Web Api Help Page XML comments from more than 1 files

I have different plugins in my Web api project with their own XML docs, and have one centralized Help page, but the problem is that Web Api's default Help Page only supports single documentation file
new XmlDocumentationProvider(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/App_Data/Documentation.xml"))
How is it possible to load config from different files? I wan to do sth like this:
new XmlDocumentationProvider("PluginsFolder/*.xml")
You can modify the installed XmlDocumentationProvider at Areas\HelpPage to do something like following:
Merge multiple Xml document files into a single one:
Example code(is missing some error checks and validation):
using System.Xml.Linq;
using System.Xml.XPath;
XDocument finalDoc = null;
foreach (string file in Directory.GetFiles(#"PluginsFolder", "*.xml"))
{
if(finalDoc == null)
{
finalDoc = XDocument.Load(File.OpenRead(file));
}
else
{
XDocument xdocAdditional = XDocument.Load(File.OpenRead(file));
finalDoc.Root.XPathSelectElement("/doc/members")
.Add(xdocAdditional.Root.XPathSelectElement("/doc/members").Elements());
}
}
// Supply the navigator that rest of the XmlDocumentationProvider code looks for
_documentNavigator = finalDoc.CreateNavigator();
Kirans solution works very well. I ended up using his approach but by creating a copy of XmlDocumentationProvider, called MultiXmlDocumentationProvider, with an altered constructor:
public MultiXmlDocumentationProvider(string xmlDocFilesPath)
{
XDocument finalDoc = null;
foreach (string file in Directory.GetFiles(xmlDocFilesPath, "*.xml"))
{
using (var fileStream = File.OpenRead(file))
{
if (finalDoc == null)
{
finalDoc = XDocument.Load(fileStream);
}
else
{
XDocument xdocAdditional = XDocument.Load(fileStream);
finalDoc.Root.XPathSelectElement("/doc/members")
.Add(xdocAdditional.Root.XPathSelectElement("/doc/members").Elements());
}
}
}
// Supply the navigator that rest of the XmlDocumentationProvider code looks for
_documentNavigator = finalDoc.CreateNavigator();
}
I register the new provider from HelpPageConfig.cs:
config.SetDocumentationProvider(new MultiXmlDocumentationProvider(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/App_Data/")));
Creating a new class and leaving the original one unchanged may be more convenient when upgrading etc...
Rather than create a separate class along the lines of XmlMultiDocumentationProvider, I just added a constructor to the existing XmlDocumentationProvider. Instead of taking a folder name, this takes a list of strings so you can still specify exactly which files you want to include (if there are other xml files in the directory that the Documentation XML are in, it might get hairy). Here's my new constructor:
public XmlDocumentationProvider(IEnumerable<string> documentPaths)
{
if (documentPaths.IsNullOrEmpty())
{
throw new ArgumentNullException(nameof(documentPaths));
}
XDocument fullDocument = null;
foreach (var documentPath in documentPaths)
{
if (documentPath == null)
{
throw new ArgumentNullException(nameof(documentPath));
}
if (fullDocument == null)
{
using (var stream = File.OpenRead(documentPath))
{
fullDocument = XDocument.Load(stream);
}
}
else
{
using (var stream = File.OpenRead(documentPath))
{
var additionalDocument = XDocument.Load(stream);
fullDocument?.Root?.XPathSelectElement("/doc/members").Add(additionalDocument?.Root?.XPathSelectElement("/doc/members").Elements());
}
}
}
_documentNavigator = fullDocument?.CreateNavigator();
}
The HelpPageConfig.cs looks like this. (Yes, it can be fewer lines, but I don't have a line limit so I like splitting it up.)
var xmlPaths = new[]
{
HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/bin/Path.To.FirstNamespace.XML"),
HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/bin/Path.To.OtherNamespace.XML")
};
var documentationProvider = new XmlDocumentationProvider(xmlPaths);
config.SetDocumentationProvider(documentationProvider);
I agree with gurra777 that creating a new class is a safer upgrade path. I started with that solution but it involves a fair amount of copy/pasta, which could easily get out of date after a few package updates.
Instead, I am keeping a collection of XmlDocumentationProvider children. For each of the implementation methods, I'm calling into the children to grab the first non-empty result.
public class MultiXmlDocumentationProvider : IDocumentationProvider, IModelDocumentationProvider
{
private IList<XmlDocumentationProvider> _documentationProviders;
public MultiXmlDocumentationProvider(string xmlDocFilesPath)
{
_documentationProviders = new List<XmlDocumentationProvider>();
foreach (string file in Directory.GetFiles(xmlDocFilesPath, "*.xml"))
{
_documentationProviders.Add(new XmlDocumentationProvider(file));
}
}
public string GetDocumentation(System.Reflection.MemberInfo member)
{
return _documentationProviders
.Select(x => x.GetDocumentation(member))
.FirstOrDefault(x => !string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(x));
}
//and so on...
The HelpPageConfig registration is the same as in gurra777's answer,
config.SetDocumentationProvider(new MultiXmlDocumentationProvider(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/App_Data/")));

Creating dynamic multi language website

I'm planning to implement a multi language website, so my first ideas were to use the resx files, but I have a requirements to let every text editable from the administration,
can i do such a feature with resx files or should I store them in a database (schemaless) or is there a better way to do this?
you can use xml or sql tables.
you should prepare a page for administrator and list all the words for translate.
base of language administrator logged on , update the translation of words into your table or xml file.
additional , for best performance load each language words to system catch .
write some code like this for entering words into table or xml.
<%=PLang.GetString("YourWordInEnglish")%>
in your aspx
...................
public static string GetString(string word)
{
try
{
if (String.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(word)) return "";
Dictionary<string, string> resourcesDictionary = GetResource(GetLanguageID());
if (resourcesDictionary != null)
{
if (!resourcesDictionary.ContainsKey(word.ToLower()))
{
Expression exp = new Expression();
exp.Word = exp.Translation = word;
exp.LanguageID = GetLanguageID();
exp.SiteID = Globals.GetSiteID();
if (exp.SiteID == 0 && exp.LanguageID == 0)
return word;
if (FLClass.createExpression(exp, ref resourcesDictionary) > 0)
return resourcesDictionary[word];
else
return word;
}
return resourcesDictionary[word.ToLower()];
}
else
return word;
}
catch
{
return word;
}
}
...................
function for edit
public class ViewExpressionListEdit : BaseWebService
{
[WebMethod(EnableSession = true)]
public bool updateExpression(ExpressionService expressionService)
{
Expression expression = new Expression();
expression.ExpressionID = expressionService.ExpressionID;
expression.Translation = expressionService.Translation;
expression.LanguageID = expressionService.LanguageID;
expression.SiteID = Globals.GetSiteID();
return FLClass.updateExpression(expression);
}
}
You can use XML files for translations, parse them on application startup and store translations in cache. You can use the FileSystemWatcher class to see when someone updates the files and then invalidate the cache.

AS3/Flex 4: Most Practical Way To Find Nested Children

I'm sort of jumping in headfirst to some Flex/AIR stuff. I have a pretty solid background with AS3, but given the inherent hierarchal complexity of Flex (compared to regular Flash), I'm running into an issue.
Let's assume that you have an app where pretty much everything is event driven (common). Accessing elements in the near vicinity of the event target, or the event target itself, is trivial. I'm trying to find, however, the most practical (read: best, most efficient) way to find children that are far removed from the current context.
I know there are functions like getChildAt() and getChildByName(), but that assumes a parent context; what if the element (Flex) you're looking for is several parents up, in a sibling, and then several children down? We take for granted things like jQuery that do this easily, but obviously we don't have that luxury in AS3.
Are any of the following valid? Is there a better way?
Iterate through parents and parents' parents until you find a stop point, find the sibling, and iterate through children and their children until you find your target;
Keep key objects in a global object store (sic) and reference them as necessary (yech)
Use specific dot notation to reach the target, including elements (like skins and their containers - yech again)
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Edit:
To clarify, let's take an empty Flex 4 AIR app. We have WindowedApplication as the root, obviously, and let's add two SkinnableContainer children with IDs navContainer and mainContainer, respectively. Both have custom skins. Within mainContainer, we have another SkinnableContainer with a vertical layout and ID mainContent, and as one of its children, it has an object (any will do - a spark BorderContainer, maybe) with the ID animatedBox, for example. Within the navContainer, we have a spark Button, which has a listener bound for MouseEvent.CLICK. Within that function, we are going to want to access animatedBox (nativeWindow.mainContainer.mainContent.animatedBox) and animate it to change, say, it's width.
The goal is to access that distant DisplayObject (animatedBox) in a way that is as unobtrusive and efficient as possible, while still conforming to Flex standards that I clearly have yet to possess. :)
in my implementation it is easy to do (however it's in pure AS3):
in display object which handles the click:
private function onClick(e:MouseEvent):void{
Radio.broadcast(new CustomEvent(id, ..params));
}
in animatedBox:
Radio.addListener(id, new Reciever(uid, animate));
private function animate(e:CustomEvent) {
//needed code and access of CustomEvent props you pass
}
upd:
package lazylib.broadcast
{
/**
* ...
* #author www0z0k
*/
public class Reciever
{
private var id: String;
private var toRun: Function;
/*#param nm - unique listener id - required
*#param fn - event handler function - required*/
public function Reciever(nm:String, fn:Function)
{
id = nm;
toRun = fn;
}
public function onEvent(e:* = null):String {
if (e == null) { return id; }
toRun(e);
return id;
}
public function get ID():String { return id; }
}
}
and
package lazylib.broadcast
{
import flash.events.Event;
import flash.events.EventDispatcher;
/**

*/
public final class Radio extends EventDispatcher
{
private static var listeners: Object = new Object();
private static var archive: Array = new Array();

listeners[type] = o;
}
if (!listeners[type][listener.ID]) {

}
}

var fnRetVal: String = listeners[type][i].onEvent(evt);
returned.push(fnRetVal);

//trace("no listener for id = " + i + ' , type = ' + type);
}
}
}else {
//trace("nobody's interested in : \"" + type + "\"");
}
if (singleUse) {
forSlowpokes[type] = 'you missed it realtime';
delete listeners[type];
}
}
public static function clearDeadFuncs(namez:Object):void {
for (var a:String in namez) {
if (a != 'anchor') {
killListener(a, namez[a]);
}
}
}
public static function killListener(type: String , id: String):Boolean {
if (!listeners[type]) {
//trace("there are no listeners for event : " + "\"" + type + "\"");
return false;
}else {
if (!listeners[type][id]) {
//trace("there is no \"" + id + "\" listener for event : " + "\"" + type + "\"");
return false;
}else {
listeners[type][id] = null;
//trace("removed listener \"" + id + "\" for event : " + "\"" + type + "\"");
var evt2kill: Number = 0;
for (var str: String in listeners[type]) {
if (listeners[type][str]) {
evt2kill++;
}
}
if (evt2kill == 0) {
delete listeners[type];
//trace("no more listeners for event : " + "\"" + type + "\"");
return true;
}
return true;
}
}
}
}
}
delivered as is ;)
We take for granted things like jQuery that do this easily, but obviously we don't have that luxury in AS3.
well there is this: http://tech.nitoyon.com/blog/2008/01/as3query_alpha.html
I asked myself this question also a lot of times. Still haven't figured out an ultimate solution to the problem. Iterating through parents and parents is definately a way but has to be taken with caution, cause relations might change in your application during runtime. I wrote a simple method a few days ago that lets you iterate through all parents of a given object. Definitely not an elegant solution but it works so far. the SWIZ framework also offers good methods to facilitate the communication between objects via code injection and Event mediation. Maybe worth a look...
