OpenStack - Web console connection refused - openstack

Just getting started with OpenStack.
got everything set up on a Ubuntu VM (under Parallels).
When I attempt to log into the browser console as admin (the password was set during the DevStack install) - I get:
HTTPConnectionPool(host='10.211.55.16', port=8774): Max retries exceeded with url: /v2/a586870bde4c4dfc993dc40cab8047b7/extensions (Caused by <class 'socket.error'>: [Errno 111] Connection refused)
I am however able to run CLI commands such as keystone-tenant-list, and all others, on the actual server.
I made sure that I'm able to ping the virtual Ubuntu host from my Mac. When I first enter http://myhost.mydomain I do get a login page, but, as soon as I enter admin's credentials - I get this ugly (and super long error)
What things could I check to fix this?

Resolution:
1) Wiped clean my Ubuntu host
2) Followed set-by-step instructions here: http://www.stackgeek.com/guides/gettingstarted.html
Everything now works without a glitch.

Artifactory service fails to start upon Fedora 35 reboot

I have installed on Fedora 35 jfrog-artifactory-oss (v7.31.11-73111900.x86_64) and enabled it as a system service to start at boot. But whenever I boot up my OS, the server never starts properly. I will always need to kill the PID of the active running Artifactory process. If I then do sudo service artifactory restart it will bring up the server cleanly and everything is good. How can I avoid having to do this little dance? Is there something about OS boot up that is causing Artifactory to get thrown off?
I have looked at console.log when the server is not running properly after bootup, I see some logs like:
2022-01-27T08:35:38.383Z [shell] [INFO] [] [artifactoryManage.sh:69] [main] - Artifactory Tomcat already started
2022-01-27T08:35:43.084Z [jfac] [WARN] [d84d2d549b318495] [o.j.c.ExecutionUtils:165] [pool-9-thread-2] - Retry 900 Elapsed 7.56 minutes failed: Registration with router on URL http://localhost:8046 failed with error: UNAVAILABLE: io exception. Trying again
That shows that the server is not running properly, but doesn't give a clear idea of what to try next. Any suggestions?
2 things to check,
How is the artifactory.service file in the systemd directory
Whenever the OS is rebooted, what is the error seen in the logs, check all the logs.
Hint: From the warning shared, it seems that Router service is not able to start when OS is rebooted, so whenever OS is rebooted and issue comes up check the router-service.log for any errors/warnings.

web GRPC and Iroha (JS implementation for iroha)

I am trying to run this docker file https://gitlab.com/snippets/1713665
consoles
I have running iroha container as you can see in right console on 50051 port, but on running the above docker file for web GRPC then you can see in left console it is unable to make connection. as i have also tried with enabling and disabling the firewalls and also with opening the 50051 withudo ufw allow 50051 sudo ufw allow 50051 ...But in the end i have the same results
"Err: connection error: desc = "transport: Error while dialing dial tcp 127.0.0.1:50051: connect: connection refused". Reconnecting... system=system"
I have also posted this issue month ago but no once gave me any response, Thats why i am reposting with further elaboration
Try running the grpc web proxy, with the backend address as localhost, instead of whatever is default in the gitlab post.
ex. ./grpcwebproxy-v0.13.0-osx-x86_64 --backend_addr=localhost:50051 --run_tls_server=false
From the console logs, it looks like it is trying to connect to dev.localdomain:50051

Got Connect Failed error when request to tf serving server, and it's all good in windows

I make a server and request successfully in windows, then I put them to the linux which is the develop machine of company.
And I Got Connect Failed error when I run the clien.py. I have changed the host IP to localhost,0.0.0.0,127.0.0.1 and the IP of develop machine, but it doesn't work.
And I tried the docker inspect command, but the IPAddress is empty like "".
And I changed the port to 8500,8501,4321 and still got the error.
I tried make proxy to the company, the request returns a Name resolution failure error. So I think maybe the cause is the net of company?
Any answer would be very appreciate!

after insalling devstack http://server-ip:5000 not accessible

I followed https://www.theurbanpenguin.com/installing-devstack-on-ubuntu-16-04/ tutorial to install devstack(queens release) on my Ubuntu 16.04 server.
After the installation was done I ran the following commands
export OS_USERNAME=admin
export OS_TENANT_NAME=admin
export OS_PASSWORD=<password>
export OS_AUTH_URL=http://server-ip:5000/v2.0
openstack image create --public --disk-format qcow2 --container-format bare --file /home/cse3/ubuntu_images/ubuntu-14.04-server-cloudimg-amd64-disk1.img ubuntu
But whenever I open http://server-ip:5000/v2.0 in my browser I am getting unable to connect error.
When I create an image from the command line I get the following message
Failed to discover available identity versions when contacting http://server-ip:5000/v2.0. Attempting to parse version from URL.
Unable to establish connection to http://server-ip:5000/v2.0/tokens: HTTPConnectionPool(host='server-ip', port=5000): Max retries exceeded with url: /v2.0/tokens (Caused by NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at 0x7f84ebecabd0>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 111] Connection refused',))
Can anyone suggest what steps need to be followed to remove this error?
After installing the Devstack, you should be able to view the OpenStack dashboard at http://server-ip if the server-ip is a public IP. The AUTH_URL is for you to authorize the API when you are using the SDK or the client library. And this is actually how the dashboard (Horizon) works with the Keystone identity service.
If the server_ip is not a public IP, you need to set up a proxy port in your server and your browser.
It's because the identity API changed from
export OS_AUTH_URL=http://server-ip:5000/v2.0
to
export OS_AUTH_URL=http://server-ip/identity
You can get more from the OpenStack Doc
Check your httpd is running
systemctl status httpd
If it is exited or not started .
Enable the httpd
systemctk s

Devstack - Changing IP address after installation

I have devstack installed on a ubuntu 12.04 and I could get logged into Dashboard , Now I changed the IP of my ubuntu machine. After changing the IP, I couldn't log into Dashboard anymore
I gets the following error message. I can see my old IP in the error message.
ConnectionError at /auth/login/

'/opt/stack/python-glanceclient',

Is there a documented procedure available to change the IP address manually ?
My New IP doesn't have connection to internet so I wouldn't be able to redeploy devstack
Thanks guys for your answers..
I missed to update my answer, I fixed that issue in an easy way.
Solution is first run unstack.sh and then run stack.sh once more. It will do the necessary fix. Since I haven't made much progress with Devstack after installation it makes me more confident to run stack.sh
For the second time when you run stack.sh its not needed to connect to internet, So my issue is fixed.
Feel free to share your thoughts on this.
You will need to change the IP address hard-coded in OpenStack configuration files generated by devstack. They are stored in /etc/ and elsewhere.
http://xmodulo.com/2013/04/how-to-change-ip-address-after-openstack-installation-via-devstack.html
Here's a few steps I've taken to get back online.
backup the answers file...
cp packstack-answers-20130417.txt packstack-answers.txt-SAVE
replace ip addresses...
sed -i '/s/10\.10\.248\.11/10\.32\.70\.10/g' packstack-answers-20130417.txt
Delete the cinder loopback devices, installer fails if it exists
losetup -d /dev/loop0
List what's left mounted via the loop.
losetup -a
rm /var/lib/cinder/cinder-volumes
Now rerun the deploy scripts
packstack --answer-file=packstack-answers-20130417.txt
Fix up other IP addressing concerns with nova-manage in the CLI.
Should work from here.
