Cannot access some websites over PPTP (VPN) - ip

I cannot load some websites over PPTP but I can load these websites over L2TP.
For example, I cannot load http://speedtest.net over PPTP...
The MRU and MTU are the same for these two protocols : 1400.
The VPN servers are installed on my VPS.
Anyone experiencing the same issue ?
Is it related to the server or to the client ?
Thank you.

VirtualBox - Centos Server. Can access https but not http

So I'm setting up a vm on virtualbox with Centos. I was able to configure everything fine and with a bridge connection, I have access to the internet and the VM has an IP within the network. From the host I can ssh into the vm without a problem. Now here's the issue, for some reason if I load up the gui from the browser I can access https sites but not http sites.
I noticed this after I tried to install some applications but all mirrors were timing out. Anyone have any clue what this could be?

Making websites hosted in localhost "port" available to all on network

I have a website hosted in IIS in my local PC.
I can access to my IIS from other computers in the network by typing in http://my_lan_IP. However, when I try to get access to a specific port (http://my_lan_IP:8888) in my local PC, it says the "The site can't be reached."
I disabled all my firewalls and even tried allowing the specific port through Windows Firewall, but it didn't work. Viewing my IIS hosted site on other machines on my network
Thanks so much for your help :)
FYI: I am using Windows 10. My goal is to connect to the locally hosted ASP.NET website from other machines on the network.
Your web server needs to be configured to serve HTTP on port 8888 "for that particular website", in order for a client to connect to that port.
By default, your website is served on port 80, which is omitted from normal addresses. All http web addresses, if not specifying a port, is actually running on port 80, or 8080.
Your windows firewall will not effect local connections you make to your own pc. Get it working on your own machine, and then worry about firewalls that block connections from other machines on the network.
I was able to solve the issue by configuring a host header for a website. Thank you all for your help :)

SonarQube only reachable with internal ip not external

We have an hyper-v machine in our DMZ with an Ubuntu machine on it. SonarQube is installed on the VM. When we try to access it from inside the network by IP there is nothing wrong and it works fine. We have setup a firewall route to forward all traffic from the internet to the VM. The forwarder as we setup is correct as we used it multiple times with other servers and works fine. The VM has 1 NIC with the internal IP on it. Is there something we are missing? If you need any more information please let me know. Thanks in advanced.
I have found the issue.
In the hosts file there was no local host setup.
From internal we connected by ip so there was no issue. The files were setup to connect to localhost so it did not know where to go. thanks for the support.

Virtualbox incoming connections are the same IP

Okay, so I'm hosting a VPS for someone using Virtualbox. I've setup a server for that guy with a NAT network type ( this way I could port forward the entire thing so it can be used for what the guy wants ). The guy can use remote desktop to connect to the server, however. Everyone who tries to join his game, gets the same IP. I guess this has something to do with the guest settings, if I'm not mistaken.
Could anyone provide me any more information about the reason behind these IP's?
I'm running on the latest version of Virtualbox with a windows 7 enterprise 64bit version where a SA-MP server is being hosted on.
Everyone who connects to his server gets the ip; 10.0.2.2. Any help would be really appreciated
If a machine is located behind NAT, then all of the incoming connection will always be recorded only from a single source, that is you router's IP. It's normal since all of the incoming connection will have to go to the router first.

ASP.NET - Virtual PC

I have created an ASP.NET application on my local machine. In order to test this application in IE 6, I have created a VPC. I am trying to connect to this web application through the VPC. However, I cannot connect to it. I can however connect to the internet.
What am I doing wrong?
Can you ping from the virtual PC? If not, you have network configuration issues.
Otherwise, check firewalls, and make sure that port 80 is open and sending traffic to IIS.
there are many possibilities. first I'd consider would be any firewall rules on the ASP.NET side preventing incoming HTTP connections.
What is the URL you are using to go to your site? If you are using localhost, you will need to change that to the actual IP address of your development machine, as localhost on the Virtual PC image will be a different IP address than localhost on the development machine.
