Get email from username of user in Phabricator - phabricator

I was configuring Phabricator to work with Jabber chat. I need to find the email address of the receiver of the message. I only have the username of the receiver.
I have looked at the Conduit queries and there is a query.user method but it does not retrieve the email.
How can I get the email of the receiver from their username?

Phabricator does not expose email addresses, by design. We consider this information to be private.

How do I connect a SMTP with Firebase?

Instead of using the built-in email system in Firebase, I wanted to use a SMTP called SMTP2Go but was wondering how to connect it and if need to buy my own email domain first or not? What requirements are needed to connect a SMTP to Firebase?
I assume you're trying to set up a custom SMTP server for sending (verification, password reset, email change) emails from Firebase Authentication. You can set a custom SMTP server in the Firebase Authentication console.
You don't need a custom domain for this. All you need to know is the SMTP host and port of SMTP2GO (something like mail.smtp2go.com and 587), and your account details from them (the username/password you use to log into smtp2go with).
The Sender address field is just what recipients see in the "From" field of the email, and also where any replies they send will be going. It can be whatever address you want to use to support your users.

When do I verify the email before creating a subscription with stripe?

I know stripe doesn't have anything to do with verifying emails.
I have a form on my website where I collect a new user's email, password and cc info.
As of now I do not verfiy the user's email. I simply create the user in my system and create the strip user and subscription after I get the card token with stripe.js.
I want to verify the email address, but I am not sure at what point in the process to do it. I don't think it makes sense to charge the customer and start the subscription and then verify the email address.
Should I wait and start the stripe subscription when the customer verifies the email address? It seems like this is one of the most common scenario's online. Is their a best practice for this scenario?
Again, I am not asking technically how to verify the email address (I use firebase auth), I just want to know when I should and how it should fit into my onboarding flow.
You can after Firebase Auth account creation, check if the emailVerified is true. If not, send an email verification and pass a continueUrl to continue the subscription process, instructing the user to check their email to continue the subscription process. This is a common process for many subscriptions that require email verification.

Make sure you check email_verified in the idToken after ID token verification to confirm verification, server side.

API key limitations and email verification

I've recently found out that, if Evernote's user does not verify his email address, all requests to Evernote API is not working. But I didn't find any ways to request email verification in Evernote's web interface, looks like the proposal to verify email appears randomly ? Are there any ways to request email verification from the user ?
You can ask users to change their email address via the page on the web, which will send them a verification email and verify their address.

Web service to check existence of email?

I have my little web application, with simple registration strategy - provide email and password and you are done.
Recently bot's starting to attack my application, registering big number of users from non existent emails using the same passwords.
I want to prevent that. My idea is to extend login verification, but check the existance of email address. Do you know any web services (prefereably WCF) that could do that?
This is definitely not the way to solve this problem. Try one of these
Allow user to enter only username and send auto-generated password to their email.
Send a verification link to the user email and approve him/her only after verification
This has been discussed on How to check if an email address exists without sending an email? . Basically there are ways verify email addresses, but in practice none of them is reliable. However, you can still check via SMTP, and if the server denies the existence of the expected user, send him an email with a verification link anyway. This does not prevent spammers from setting up fake servers that acknowledge the existence of any user, of using other peoples email addresses, but it's probably the closest you can get to your initial requirement of having no verification email.
I would recommend you to update your registration form. Try to use something tricky for bots. For example, post the form via AJAX with JSON object wrapper.

Check if mail sent is in recipient's inbox/junk in asp.net using C# ?

I am developing a software but for that I want to know as if i send an email then how can i check the sent email is in recipient's inbox/ Junk.

You can't detect what is done with the email once it is delivered to the users inbox other than requesting a delivery receipt and a read receipt but the user can opt out of these.
The best way to avoid being marked as spam is to use a trusted third party service such as Campaign Monitor or MailChimp.
Failing that you should make sure that your email has a proper from address set, that you have set up SPF records to allow the sending IP official permission to send email on behalf of the from domain, keep your html to content ratio reasonable and if possible use an email address that your customers have already received an email from before so that there is a higher chance that the address is already in a whitelist.
You really can't because there are many different email spam solutions out there and they don't send a status back saying whether they delivered the email to the recipient or not. What you can do is send an email with a tracker to see if the receiver opened it.
