IIS 8.5 1 Domain two IP Direction - ip

I'm looking to configure a domain to go to two places based on the URL provided.
1: domain.com and www.domain.com (this domain direct to first IP)
2: *.domain.com redirect to second IP (examples: company.domain.com, company2.domain.com)
The first site is the main public website and the second is an SSL-encrpyted back end.'
Any help would be appreciated.

Use IP instead of domain in Cpanel

I have access to a CPanel associated with a primary domain name www.test.com and it's IP is 55.666.777.888.
However, we must point the domain to another IP address temporarily and do some set-up on this server at the same time. The issue is I cannot access 55.666.777.888 to set up WordPress after having redirected www.test.com to another IP. The domain must always serve another website in the mean while.
When I visit the Domain page, www.test.com is still listed as primary domain.
Is there anyway that we can disable the domain temporarily and access the site using the IP then revert it later?

Create a subdomain and point it to domain location

So I have a follow up question based on How To Setup Subdomains on iis
I am using IIS 8, and I am looking to point my subdomain to my current default website. Currently we have www.mydomain.com, and I setup a subdomain in our DNS A Record that is account.mydomain.com pointing to the same IP address of mydomain.com.
I figured the way to create the subdomain is now to go to Site Bindings under the Default Website in IIS and add a site binding with the hostname account.mydomain.com but I am getting an error that says the server IP address cannot be found. The reason I didn't want to create a new Site in IIS is because we have certain properties and permissions that are setup.
Eventually we will be changing the IP Address of www.mydomain.com to be pointing to something new, but for the time being we need account.mydomain.com to point to the same location as www.mydomain.com

Separate Domain Registrar and Host, possible to use CDN?

I am just wondering if this is possible/how I could go about doing this.
I work for a company that has their domain name registered on Site A while their hosting is on Site B. This is no issue as we just have the Registrar at Site A point the Name Servers to Site B. Easy.
Where I get a little confused, is say I would like to use a CDN such as CloudFlare (Site C), typically in a basic case, I would go to the registrar/host and just change my Name Servers to the ones given by CloudFlare. However if my Registrar and Domain Host are different, it appears someone could get lost in the mix, as if I go from Site A point to Site C .. how does host at Site B supply Site C with all the information to host and control the CDN for?
Thanks for the insight!
I reached out to CloudFlare and got this very simple, perfect answer.
Here's how it will work for you :
At your domain registrar, you will set your authoritative name servers to the ones that CloudFlare will assign to you when you sign up.
Within CloudFlare, using our dashboard, you will configure your DNS zone file to point your domain to the IP address of the server assigned to you by your hosting provider.
The CloudFlare reverse proxy does the rest!
Hope this helps!

IIS multiple website subdomains on A record - mapping throws 404 error

I have hosting with 1 IP, and multiple A records assigned to that IP.
Example:
IP of hosting:
123.123.123.123
This is how I have dns records assigned with domain registrar:
123.123.123.123 A test.domain.com
123.123.123.123 A stackoverflow.domain.com
123.123.123.123 A hello.domain.com
Now I have multiple websites in IIS. To have different subdomains binded to different websites all I should do is to bind subdomain:
http://puu.sh/gvznZ/fab84bde4e.jpg
But the problem is, that when I do this website on assigned port stops working, but when I visit a website with assigned subdomain like in a picture it gives me:
http://i.stack.imgur.com/3fvOc.png
Do I have to assign more settings to directory or something?
Edit
Ok found out that http://bo.domain.com:777/ works. But how do I remove this port?
Multiple websites can use the same port as long as they have distinct domain bindings. You can use port 80 for all (and avoid needing to type a port in the browser address), just make sure you edit the bindings for each IIS website and specify the correct domain.

How to set up subdomains on IIS 7

I have a website sitting on an IIS 7 server:
I would like to create several sub domains that looks like
SUBDOMAIN1.example.COM
I created an IIS website and I set the bindings to be
http, port 80, the ip address of my server, and SUBDOMAIN1.example.COM and the physical path to a folder under example.COM
I restarted my website and clicked on browse, the browser than opened with the address:
http://SUBDOMAIN1.example.COM
But the website doesn't show up.
Do I have to do something with the DNS?
This one drove me crazy... basically you need two things:
1) Make sure your DNS is setup to point to your subdomain. This means to make sure you have an A Record in the DNS for your subdomain and point to the same IP.
2) You must add an additional website in IIS 7 named subdomain.example.com
Sites > Add Website
Site Name: subdomain.example.com
Physical Path: select the subdomain directory
Binding: same ip as example.com
Host name: subdomain.example.com
Wildcard method: Add the following entry into your DNS server and change the domain and IP address accordingly.
*.example.com IN A 1.2.3.4
http://www.webmasterworld.com/microsoft_asp_net/3194877.htm
If your computer can't find the IP address associated with SUBDOMAIN1.example.COM, it will not find the site.
You need to either change your hosts file (so you can at least test things - this will be a local change, only available to yourself), or update DNS so the name will resolve correctly (so the rest of the world can see it).
As DotNetMensch said but you DO NOT need to add another site in IIS as this can also cause further problems and make things more complicated because you then have a website within a website so the file paths, masterpage paths and web.config paths may need changing. You just need to edit teh bindings of the existing site and add the new subdomain there.
So:
Add sub-domain to DNS records. My host (RackSpace) uses a web portal to do this so you just log in and go to Network->Domains(DNS)->Actions->Create Zone, and enter your subdomain as mysubdomain.domain.com etc, leave the other settings as default
Go to your domain in IIS, right-click->Edit Bindings->Add, and add your new subdomain leaving everything else the same e.g. mysubdomain.domain.com
You may need to wait 5-10 mins for the DNS records to update but that's all you need.
