Alfresco 5.0.a - Can't send invitation email but can send the test SMTP mail - alfresco-share

I tried to follow the setting guide on wiki to set the mail configuration is as below:
### E-mail site invitation setting ###
notification.email.siteinvite=true
# Outbound email configuration
mail.host=mail.mydomain.com
mail.port=25
mail.username=none-reply#mydomain.com
mail.password=mypassword
mail.protocol=smtp
mail.smtp.auth=true
mail.from.default=none-reply#mydomain.com
mail.smtp.timeout=30000
mail.smtp.starttls.enable=false
mail.smtp.debug=false
mail.testmessage.send=true
mail.testmessage.to=dong.pt#mydomain.com
mail.testmessage.subject=Outbound SMTP
mail.testmessage.text=The Outbound SMTP email subsystem is working.
email.inbound.enabled=false
imap.server.enabled=false
I can receive the testing email when server is starting up to dong.pt#mydomain.com but I can't receive the invitation message when I try to invite to the same email address. The error log is as below:
2014-08-17 05:19:54,152 ERROR [action.executer.MailActionExecuter] [http-bio-8085-exec-1] Failed to send email to dong.pt#mydomain.com

Please help me to solve this issue.

Had a similar issue on Alfresco 5.2 community, email sending was possible, but when a user was added to a site no invitation mail was send.
(and the paramter notification.email.siteinvite is set to true)
First make sure the rights of
Data Dictionary\Email Templates\invite
are correct.
Then the solution for us was to recreate the ftl (template) files with the correct documents. (I took the correct ftl files from a fresh installed Alfresco instance)

Based on the yaml file, I am trying to publish a sample app that has already been launched in Pod via Ingress.

Error while trying to send logs with rsyslog without local storage

I'm trying to send logs into datadog using rsyslog. Ideally, I'm trying to do this without having the logs stored on the server hosting rsyslog. I've run into an error in my config that I haven't been able to find out much about. The error occurs on startup of rsyslog.
omfwd: could not get addrinfo for hostname '(null)':'(null)': Name or service not known [v8.2001.0 try https://www.rsyslog.com/e/2007 ]
Here's the portion I've added into the default rsyslog.config
module(load="imudp")
input(type="imudp" port="514" ruleset="datadog")
ruleset(name="datadog"){
action(
type="omfwd"
action.resumeRetryCount="-1"
queue.type="linkedList"
queue.saveOnShutdown="on"
queue.maxDiskSpace="1g"
queue.fileName="fwdRule1"
)
$template DatadogFormat,"00000000000000000 <%pri%>%protocol-version% %timestamp:::date-rfc3339% %HOSTNAME% %app-name% - - - %msg%\n "
$DefaultNetstreamDriverCAFile /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
$ActionSendStreamDriver gtls
$ActionSendStreamDriverMode 1
$ActionSendStreamDriverAuthMode x509/name
$ActionSendStreamDriverPermittedPeer *.logs.datadoghq.com
*.* ##intake.logs.datadoghq.com:10516;DatadogFormat
}
First things first.
The module imudp enables log reception over udp.
The module omfwd enables log forwarding over (tcp, udp, ...)
So most probably - or atleast as far as i can tell - with rsyslog you just want to log messages locally and then send them to datadog.
I don't know anything about the $ActionSendStreamDriver tags, so I can't help you there. But what is jumping out is, that in your action you haven't defined where the logs should be sent to.
ruleset(name="datadog"){
action(
type="omfwd"
target="10.100.1.1"
port="514"
protocol="udp"
...
)
...
}

mailR Error - Sending email to the following server failed: smtp.gmail.com:587 - ShinyProxy / Docker / Ubuntu

I am currently trying to publish my Shiny app via ShinyProxy and Docker.
Unfortunately, my app does not work after publishing - on the PC itself it works without any problems.
One of my problems concerns the package "mailR". I get the following error message when I try to send an email (excerpt, you can find the whole log below):
Warning: Error in : EmailException (Java): Sending the email to the following server failed : smtp.gmail.com:587
I have already tried to use the SSL port (465) instead of the TLS port - unfortunately without success.
I have to admit that I don't really understand SSL and TLS - so it's probably because I don't have any of the certificates "installed" (?). As I said before, the programme runs on my PC without any problems.
Here is some background info:
My server runs on Ubuntu.
I use Docker in combination with ShinyProxy.
I use the package "mailR" and Java version 8.
You can find my code at the end of the post.
If you need more info, feel free to tell me what exactly :)
Thank you very much and best regards

personally, I could fix this error by upgrading both mailR and rJava to their latest versions.

I've read somewhere that you're not supposed to deploy the apps to the real server from a local, remote environment. Is there a team administrating the server on the Cloud? If so, I would recommend providing the Cloud Team with your (perhaps) updated application folders and asking them to perform the deploy for you, from the server itself.

Oracle 10g UTL_HTTP begin_request return ORA-29273: HTTP request failed

I am using Oracle10g plsql to access a Jasperserver webservice in order to generate a PDF and store it in a blob. I follow this post
When I change the Jasperserver host I replace the url from
http://myOLDserver:8080/jasperserver/rest_v2/reports/apex/reportname.pdf?j_username=jus&j_password=jpw&ID=2758
to
http://myNEWserver:8080/jasperserver/rest_v2/reports/apex/reportname.pdf?j_username=jus&j_password=jpw&ID=2758
and the procedure raise an error like this
ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1389
ORA-29261: bad argument
ORA-06512: at line 51
ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1029
ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
on executing UTL_HTTP.begin_request
The machine of my oracle user ping myNEWserver correctly and the url in a browser is working correctly
I found the problem was an incorrect configuration of the DNS of my db server.
From different db server correctly configured the UTL_HTTP.begin_request with the same URL work without error with no db configuration like ACL or WALLET.
The db server that call the procedure is AIX Version 6.1 and I have to modify the /etc/resolv.conf and the hosts (because it is not possible to reboot the servere immediatly).
I hope this solution can help
