Add feedback form inside an ACF text zone in WordPress? - wordpress

I have a WordPress blog that let users (only for internal usage) write reports. There are "tasks" that they can select (checkboxes) to include in the report. Those that are selected pop a title and blank text zone on the bottom to include some informations. There is a task that is for feedback.
My question: I wanted to know if it is possible to replace the text zone with a form? Or add the form inside the text zone?
This is what the tasks list looks like, using the twentyten theme and ACF;
One of the tasks (checkboxes) is for feedback. I would like to have a complete form instead, with questions like "Did you see that?" with checkboxes, if they check "yes" then a text zone pop under it so people can write down feedback on that.
I cannot simply do a different type of page with a form and that's it, as the feedback is related to the tasks (to one specific report). It needs to be "inside" the report.
It seems impossible since one checkbox (for the tasks) only open one "thing" like a text zone. But I still hope there is something I can do.
Is there a way or it's impossible?
Thank you very much for all of your help.
Have a nice day.

This is accomplished using conditional logic within the Advanced Custom Fields Plugin. Go to Custom Fields -> Edit the Group you want to change -> Edit the Field you want to be conditional -> Turn Conditional Logic on and add your conditions.

Wordpress Advanced Custom Fields - Limit A User's Choice To One Option

I have a WordPress website and as part of the news items, the editor can add either an:
internal link OR
external link OR
file
Currently I have this set up as a repeater field with maximum rows set to 1.
Is it possible if say one value has been entered, to prevent another of the values from being filled in.
E.g. I add an internal link and then try to add an external link. A message of some sort is then shown to me to say that only one value can be selected at a time.
I know I can add a description to the field with this information but I want to make it idiot proof so that the user can never add more than one value.
Thanks for your time and help in advance.
I can't write this in comments but celeriko right. Install types plugin there is ability of conditional logic. You can very easy implement of from backend.

Views and Categories...?

it's about this page: http://veagues.com/
Hey guys,
I've made a block-view with drupal that let's me sort my videos by a certain category, in this case "funny","epic","plays", "contest"...
The problem is: When you sort it by the certain category and click on a video and continue to click the "next" button, you will go threw all videos, instead of only the videos of the category...
My Question is: How can I put a filter on the nodes when i apply another category on the bottom block?
Thanks already!
If you're using Views, you should be able to filter the main block by the same taxonomy term.
Try adding a Contextual Filter to that block too. If there's a taxonomy term ID in the URL the block gets filtered by that Term ID and if there's no result, the block shows all the videos.
EDIT -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You may need to try & understand what goes on when you make a selection in Drupal.
1/ The taxonomy term page will list all the content affixed with a specific term. The term tid can be seen in the URL, unless an alias have been created. A block can retrieve that term id, whether there is an alias or not.
2/ The node page will give you access to a specific node, but any block on that page should be able to access the term id of that specific node.
If you know where you are, it becomes easier to retrieve the info you're looking for. On the other hand, you may have to reconfigure a specific page in order to add the necessary extra block...
That can be done with templates but you could also have a look at Panels.
The Panels UI makes it easier to configure the page you're looking for without having to mess with code or templates, or both.
There's a lot of free video tutorials out there, search for Views & Panels.
If you want to have a look at preprocess functions, you will definitely need to download the Devel module...

Wordpress custom form advanced

just a quick one, are you aware of any wordpress form plugins that allow me to create a form and depending on which options they select, it will display a certain bit of information that submits to a selected email.
Im trying to achieve a web request form for clients and would like them to be able to fill out information as well as select a check box for a certain amount of questions. For example,"would you like to update your own content?"
if they check this box, i would like the form to render all the information in the form and then depending on which checkbox is selected it will give me a bit of content that is different. im trying to automate a proposal template so it writes all this content in an email so i can quickly do proposals for websites etc.
Yes, gravity forms does this. And it's very easy too.

It is called 'conditional logic'. You enable this on a field, which will display conditional drop downs which you can choose previous 'multiple choice' questions to base your conditions on.
Think you have to pay for this plugin but you could probably find version 4 as a download somewhere to demo before you buy.
You won't be disappointed.

How to provide a button which will change my current page content to an previous page in drupal

I'm making a site wherein I want to show the current course that I'm gonna teach to my pupils. In this page there should also be links provided to my previous courses. Now when I'm done with this course I want to transfer it to a previous course or rather automatically create a link for it and get the new course content in it's place. I just think doing manually is kind of stupid. Rather I want to have a form where i can create my new course then click on make current course as previous and this course as new whenever i wish. How can I do this.Is this even possible
Pretty open question ... One way would be to work with views when showing a node.
In the view you should use a custom php field, which collects the record (nid) within the course-node table. And then create a link using the drupal path_alias function or by using node/nid ...
You could use panels-module as well. Where you have a view with the latest course, and under the latest course you have a view of a link to the latest course -1 . (I think you can set an offset in views to get the previous course) The view should accept an argument, namely the nid of the currently loaded node.
If you use this method, do check if your panels is giving the arguments to the views module.
Another way would be to use node reference as to what is the previous course (but you don't want it to be manual). The advantage of node_reference is that you don't need to enter your courses in a certain order. If you make it automatically, then the order in which you fill in the courses should be correct.
Easy man. Just create a content type called "course" and using CCK, add all the fields to capture information you want about the course.
Now you have the content. Using Views, create a simple view page displaying course content type and sort it on descending order, set it to display one item at a time and add a mini pager. That way the new course will be the first one displayed and the other ones will be behind it. You might need to customize the pager a bit ^^

Drupal: Content in blocks from node_reference fields?

After only a few weeks of working with Drupal I've come up with a recurring problem, which I don't really have an optimal solution to, so I'm hoping that someone here might be able to give some best practice pointers.
What I have is a region inside my node.tpl.php, which is populated with blocks that display content from two different CCK fields of the type node_reference. This works fine when displaying a single node. The problem appears when I need to use a view.
For example, lets say I have a news listing, and a single news item view. When I display the single news item I can use the news node node_reference field to reference whatever material I would like to have in my sidebar, but when on the news listing view I would like to reference nodes separately. What would be the best practice to solve this?
I'm having a few ideas, but none seem like the logical choice, how would you do?
My understanding of your problem is that you don't want the blocks to display on the view page and you want the block information displayed inline with the node.
The first part is easy, you can modify the block visibility settings to not show up on the path where you have the view.
The second part will depend on how you set up your view. If you are using fields you can simply add fields for the node_reference and they should display. If you are using a node view, you will have to override the template and create a template which displays the node reference field.
If you want further explanation please comment and I can clarify
After reading my question I realize that it was explained pretty badly, so I'll try again, and also tell how I solved it.
The Problem
On normal "pages" (when displaying only a single node), I have a sidebar that shows something similar to banners, which are either random, or I can select one or many that should always be displayed on the sidebar. This is solved easily when displaying a single node, using a CCK node_reference field. The problem is when using a View that displays multiple nodes, for example a news listing-
The Solution
In my case I could solve this by creating additional fields on my default Page content-type. These fields were called view, display and arguments. In my tpl.php I then embedded the news listing view inside a page, lets call it News. This way I gained great flexibility, and also helps the News page to know where it is located in menu structure.
Final comments
I have yet to discover if there are any drawbacks or dangers in doing this way, but if there are, feel free to share them with me :)
I tend to want to create my own modules, which create blocks and reference the database directly. Then I put the blocks inside of panels, this seems to be more flexible for me than using views and cck fields etc ...
