I am a newbie to Zurb Foundation and I am trying to align the input elements (second div with class="large-9 columns")inline.
But they are being stacked one over the other inspite of using the class="columns".
How can i get them arranged inline?
http://jsfiddle.net/Sbt75/432/
Case 1:
<div class="row">
<div class="large-3 columns">
Prefix:
</div>
<div class="large-9 columns">
<label>
<input type="radio" name="PrefixTab" value="Mr.">Mr.</label>
<label>
<input type="radio" name="PrefixTab" value="Mrs.">
Mrs.</label>
<label>
<input type="radio" name="PrefixTab" value="Ms.">
Ms.</label>
</div>
</div>
Case 2:
<div class="row">
<div class="large-3 columns">
<label for="BirthMonthTab" ">* Birth Date:</label>
</div>
<div class="large-9 columns">
<input type="text" id="BirthMonthTab" name="BirthMonthTab" maxlength="2" />/
<input type="text" id="BirthDayTab" name="BirthDayTab" maxlength="2" />/
<input type="text" id="BirthYearTab" name="BirthYearTab" maxlength="4" />
(mm/dd/yyyy)
</div>
</div>
For case 1 you could change the radio buttons against a <select> field. But for both cases, you may also try something like:
<div class="row">
<div class="large-3 columns">
<label class="inline right" for="BirthMonthTab">* Birth Date:</label>
</div>
<div class="large-3 columns">
<input type="text" id="BirthMonthTab" placeholder="dd" name="BirthMonthTab" maxlength="2" />
</div>
<div class="large-3 columns">
<input type="text" id="BirthDayTab" placeholder="mm" name="BirthDayTab" maxlength="2" />
</div>
<div class="large-3 columns">
<input type="text" id="BirthYearTab" placeholder="yyyy" name="BirthYearTab" maxlength="4" />
</div>
</div>
Here is a demo with your jsFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/Sbt75/433/ (Remember to make the preview area bigger, or the columns will be stacked)

I got some questions related to positioning I don't want to use a fixed position as my browser is dynamic, how can I move my + - to the right position of the contact: input (Position here)
I try many as it seems only ways is a position to be fixed is there another way to do it?
Here the image
<div class="form-group row">

I have a bootstrap form like the one below.
I want to make the width of that column to be 9 so in the left 3 I can add a button to the top-right of the textarea.
The form HTML is:
<div class="form-group">
<label>Compose Message</label>
<textarea class="form-control" rows="5" value="" />
</div>
I have tried using <div class="col-md-9"> and <div class="col-md-3"> but no success.
Any clue?
This should do the trick:
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-9">
<div class="form-group">
<label>Compose Message</label>
<textarea class="form-control" rows="5" value="" />
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-3">
<button class="btn">Button</button>
</div>
</div>
Okay. I'm trying to recreate this form in particular using as much default bootstrap styling as possible.
The problem I'm having is having the left and right sidelooking like this.
I'm using a Modal class for the dark background.
<div class="panel-footer modal_custom">
<div class="container">
<h2>Talk to us</h2>
<h4>What's on your mind?</h4>
<form action="" role="form">
<div class="form-group col-lg-3">
<label for="form-elem-1"> Name</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-1" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your name" />
</div>
<div class="form-group col-lg-3">
<label for="form-elem-2"> Telephone</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-2" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your telephone number" />
</div>
<div class="form-group col-lg-3">
<label for="form-elem-3"> Email</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-3" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your e-mail" />
</div>
<div class="form-group col-lg-3">
<label for="form-elem-4"> Company</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-4" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your company name" />
</div><br />
<div class="form-group>
<label for="form-elem-4"> Enquiry</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-4" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your enquiry" />
</div>
</form>
</div>
</div>
I don't need much help on the color and those smaller things. just on how to position the Enquiry to the right and making it looks as close to the example as possible.
There isn't any css yet that affects much of the code above. And I'm failry new to the fomr function. How would I have the form actually work too.
Is this what you need, now you have add some your styles for button, and background
<div class="panel-footer modal_custom">
<div class="container">
<h2>Talk to us</h2>
<h4>What's on your mind?</h4>
<form action="" role="form">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-6 col-sm-6">
<div class="form-group">
<label for="form-elem-1"> Name</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-1" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your name" />
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="form-elem-2"> Telephone</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-2" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your telephone number" />
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="form-elem-3"> Email</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-3" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your e-mail" />
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="form-elem-4"> Company</label>
<input type="text" id="form-elem-4" class="form-control" placeholder="Enter Your company name" />
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-6 col-sm-6">
<div class="form-group">
<label class="col-md-3" for="comment">Comment:</label>
<div class="col-md-9">
<textarea class="form-control" rows="13" id="comment"></textarea>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-12 text-right">
<div class="form-group">
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-default">Submit</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</form>
</div>
</div>
Working fiddle

Try to re-build that form using responsive Table. Set the table with two columns and get the required design without change in CSS.
Here I have a bootstrap form v3 and I try to make this form to be inline so ha,ar,m2 to be inline... I have:
<form class="form-horizontal">
<fieldset>
<!-- Form Name -->
<legend>Form Name</legend>
<!-- Text input-->
<div class="form-group">
<label class="col-md-4 control-label" for="naziv">Naziv</label>
<div class="col-md-4">
<input id="naziv" name="naziv" type="text" placeholder="naziv parcele" class="form-control input-md" required="">
</div>
</div>
<!-- Appended Input-->
<div class="form-group">
<label class="col-md-4 control-label" for="ha">Povrsina</label>
<div class="col-md-2">
<div class="input-group">
<input id="ha" name="ha" class="form-control" placeholder="ha" type="text">
<span class="input-group-addon">ha</span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<!-- Appended Input-->
<div class="form-group">
<label class="col-md-4 control-label" for="ar"></label>
<div class="col-md-2">
<div class="input-group">
<input id="ar" name="ar" class="form-control" placeholder="ar" type="text">
<span class="input-group-addon">ar</span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<!-- Appended Input-->
<div class="form-group">
<label class="col-md-4 control-label" for="m2"></label>
<div class="col-md-2">
<div class="input-group">
<input id="m2" name="m2" class="form-control" placeholder="m2" type="text">
<span class="input-group-addon">m2</span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</fieldset>
</form>
But how I can put #ha, #ar, #m2 elements inline so in the same row?
Any idea?
I try with form-inline but dont work.
Here is a fiddle
In order to keep the inputs in one row, you could put the columns containing .input-group in one form-group element, as follows:
<div class="form-group">
<label class="col-md-3 control-label" for="ha">Povrsina</label>
<div class="col-md-3">
<div class="input-group">
<input id="ha" name="ha" class="form-control" placeholder="ha" type="text">
<span class="input-group-addon">ha</span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-3">
<div class="input-group">
<input id="ar" name="ar" class="form-control" placeholder="ar" type="text">
<span class="input-group-addon">ar</span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-3">
<div class="input-group">
<input id="m2" name="m2" class="form-control" placeholder="m2" type="text">
<span class="input-group-addon">m2</span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
WORKING DEMO.
Note that you should change the class names of the columns within your own demo to prevent exceeding the 12-column grid.
so I was trying to create a form panel with Twitter Bootstrap into the center of the page, and hopefully even when the browser is resizing, it still be at the center,
here's what I tried on jsfiddle, the problem is I can't seem to make it center, anyone had ideas? the full code is in below
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="panel panel-default">
<div class="panel-body">
<legend>User Login</legend>
<form role="form">
<div class="form-group">
<label for="inputEmail">
Username</label>
<input id="inputEmail" type="text" class="form-control" placeholder="ex: John.Doe"
required="" />
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="inputPassword">
Password</label>
<input id="inputPassword" type="password" class="form-control" placeholder="*******"
required="" />
</div>
<div class="checkbox">
<label>
<input id="chkRememberMe" type="checkbox" />
Remember Me
</label>
</div>
<button id="btnSubmit" type="submit" class="btn navbar-custom">
Submit</button>
</form>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
the preview:
Please replace
<div class="panel panel-default">
with this
<div class="panel panel-default" style="max-width:400px;margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;">
You can also use columns to size and center your panel, for example:
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-offset-3 col-md-6">
<div class="panel panel-default">
<div class="panel-body">
<legend>User Login</legend>
<form role="form">
<div class="form-group">
<label for="inputEmail">Username</label>
<input id="inputEmail" type="text" class="form-control" placeholder="ex: John.Doe" required="" />
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="inputPassword">Password</label>
<input id="inputPassword" type="password" class="form-control" placeholder="*******" required="" />
</div>
<div class="checkbox">
<label>
<input id="chkRememberMe" type="checkbox" />
Remember Me
</label>
</div>
<button id="btnSubmit" type="submit" class="btn navbar-custom">Submit</button>
</form>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Try setting the margins in the div's style attribute:
style="margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;"
Hope it works...
