Button result not as desired - css

Why is it that when I test my page out on Chrome Canary emulating the iPad I get this result,
But when testing it out on the real device I get this
I'm trying to achieve the top one, but can't for some reason. Any ideas? Also is Chrome Canary reliable? Here's the CSS

Mkdocs with material theme: extra css not working on mobile devices

I'm using Mkdocs with material theme for products documentation on my company. I'd made some customize on the original theme using the extra.css file.
When people navigate on my site on web browser it's working ok.
When they navigate on mobile devices, the extra.css is not working, or having a very strange behavior.
On the images of mobile devices, the left side is when I open the menu. The right side is when I click in a link in the menu.

How to fix hover not working at center of text

Im coding a blog and trying to make "Read More" button at the bottom of article. When i use hover to make button green, it works only if user points his mouse at left or right of button. When im pointing mouse at center of text nothing is working.
<div class="readmore"><p>Read more</p></div>
.readmore
{
color: darkgreen;
border: 1px solid green;
margin-left: 177px;
margin-right: 177px;
font-size: 13px;
margin-top: 30px;
}
.readmore:hover
{
background-color: darkgreen;
transition: 0.18s linear;
color: white;
}
I expect button to backgroundcolor darkgreen and color white when im pointing mouse at center of text.

Your CSS and HTML work fine (as tested below). I assume you have some p tag styling that is overwriting the readmore style.
.readmore

.readmore:hover
{

Run your CSS through any CSS Linter and you will know why.

Your CSS works fine after fixing some issues and ran through a CSS beautifier.

Multiple Identical RGBA colours not working

basically I wanted to try have the same rgba value in three different areas. I wanted my body, nav and footer all to have rgba(0,0,0,.8).
My body works but the nav and footer just show was solid black without the transparency...
I've tried changing the transparency slightly so they're different but that doesn't work either.
Are you only allowed to use it once?
