Web Essentials is opening bundle file on every build, how to turn it off - bundling-and-minification

I have installed “Web Essentials 2013 nightly”. I am using it to bundle JavaScript files.
Every time I compile my project in Visual Studio the js.bundle file get focused in Solution Explorer and file is opened in code editor.
How to turn it off?
I am using VS 2013 Update RC2
I tried to configure it in
Tools - options
Web Wssential -Javascript - Bundle (Run on build = false) but it dosn't work

This problem appears to have been fixed with the latest build of Web Essentials.

Which IDE for VB.NET code built on .NET framework 2.5?

I used to use MS Visual Web Development (VWD) Express 2008 as IDE for a website which was developed on .NET framework 2.5 with VB.NET and runs on IIS 7 originally. About a year ago, MS stopped downloading the VWD Express 2008 and now I am in need of an IDE for my old VB.NET website. Which IDE will allow me to maintain this old VB.NET website?
Here is the detail info of VS 2019 community installed:
Here is screen shot of the existing project I am maintaining.
You can go with Visual Studio Express.
(edit: It is now called Visual Studio Community Edition).
It should work fine. To be honest, I never used Visual Web Developer.
Just keep in mind, that you want to open the project as a web site, and NOT a project. Quite sure that's how VW developer worked and was setup.
I'm not even sure they have VW developer anymore, but Visual Studio Express 2019 should be able to open + work on that web site.
So, to open a web application project, then you use this option:
(this means you have a .sln file).
So this:
However, this might ONLY be a web site project. So, you can use this option:
So, I would certinly try to open the project (folder) where the site exists, and see if you can find a .sln file.
If there is no .sln file, then you can try to open the .vbproj file.
But if you open a "web site", then you ONLY select the folder where the web site exists. (you don't open .sln, or .vbproj file - but open the FOLDER.
VS 2017 is the last one that explicitly mention supports for .NET 3.5, and the Community version is still available with the free Dev Essentials account. If you're ineligible for Community, then the Visual Studio Express 2015 for Web is the one you want.
That said, even in the latest VS 2022, I still see the option to switch a project to target .NET 3.5, and the template still offers Web Form development.

Build angular and refresh browser on saving files in Visual Studio 2017?

I am building an asp.net core 2.2 web app with Angular SPA template. Until a few days ago I could see the browser refresh and reflect changes made on html and typescript files in Visual Studio 2017. Since then, there was an update to both Visual Studio and node modules.
Now the browser doesn't reflect the changes made automatically. I am forced to run an ng build command using cmd for the angular app to get the changes on the browser. Is there a setting or configuration that needs to be changed.
I have already enabled Enable Browser Link option in the Visual Studio. This is not working.
Visual Studio version is 2017, 15.9.9

Visual Studio Apache Cordova App project execute "save" extremely slow

I'm starting to work with Phonegap and I've installed Visual Studio with Apache Cordova Tools.
I can create new Cordova project and change the project files. I can save the files it works well untill I run the project in debugger. After I stop the debugger and edit the project files every save takes about a minute - extremely slow.
I've downloaded an excample project form Microsoft site and I see the same problem with files save.
Does anybody familiar with the problem? Maybe I have to chang something in the Visual Studio configuration?
Try turning off ripple. That seemed to help me

LESS not working in ASP.NET Web Tools 2012.2

I recently upgraded Visual Studio 2012 with the ASP.NET Web Tools 2012.2 update which made LESS files first-class citizens in VS. However, since the upgrade, changes to my .less files aren't converted to .css and .css.min. Also, I don't get the CSS preview pane anymore when I edit my .less files.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled and tried to repair the installation. Any ideas?
According to this question (VS2012.2 LESS Support) Visual Studio 2012 provides first class support for LESS but you still need to install Web Essentials to get the compiler integrated.

Problems with 'Publish Web Site' on Visual Studio 2010

Recently I've upgraded from Visual Studio 2008 to Visual Studio 2010, however I'm having various problems when uploading my compiled web site to the live area. I'm doing exactly the same as I would have done with Visual Studio 2008, however, now I receive errors such as:
{filename}.aspx is not a pre-compiled file
masterpage.master does not exist
All these errors don't make sense. Has anyone encountered these problems before, and was a solution ever found?
Try run the Clean Solution command from the Build menu on your solution.
Try diagnosing by publishing to a brand new IIS location. Perhaps there are files from your VS2008 build that aren't being overwritten by your VS2010 build.
Are all the files present in the bin directory as you'd expect?
Is there an PrecompiledAppConfig.config file in the root?
You can run the Clean command by selecting Build -> Batch Build. You will see the options Build, Rebuild, and Clean in the dialog box.
The web site does not have to be created in IIS in order to use the Batch Build dialog.
Hope this helps,
Rick
you probably have not created an application or virtual directory on your server.
use IIS Manager to create it
