Change value and text of button

I have a textbox and a button with an onClick event connected to it, and when the button is clicked once I want to change the text of the button and clear the textbox. How can i accomplish this?
If you want to do this on a postback (a complete refresh of the page), simply put code in your button click handler to set these values. For example, textbox.Text = string.Empty;
If you want to set it on the client side (without refreshing the page), then you'd need to use client script such as JavaScript.
This needs you to know about TextBox and its properties. Normally the value of a textbox you use its Text property as TextBox1.Text. In your case you put this statement in the button's click event
string txtValue=TextBox1.Text;
TextBox1.Text=string.Empty;

ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit CalendarExtender Date Change

I have a text box which I have extended with the AJAX Control Toolkit CalendarExtender. When I click on the text box, a calendar appears and I can select a date which then is added to the text box. So far so good.
This text box is used on a Grid View to filter the results in it. This was setup when I added a data source to the grid view.
This works fine other than the fact that after selecting the date in the date control, I then also have to hit enter in the text box for the grid view to update. Can I get to update as soon as the date is selected rather than having to press enter?
This is because the TextBox_TextChanged event is not being raised. This can only be raised when focus is taken off the textbox, and since focus was put on it, the text has changed.
One option would be to use jQuery to force a postback whenever text is changed in the textbox.
Something like:
$("input.textbox").change(function(){
__doPostBack();
});
This article may be of use for forcing Post Back from javascript:

If you want to refresh your grid without pressing the Enter key,
put your textbox's autopostback property to true.
Hope this helps.

Radio Button Validation

Hii.
In my project, in the main page, I've a ASPxPageControl and ASPxPopupControl. In the ASPxPopUpControl, I've a form consits of two radio buttons and so many text fields and combo boxes etc. In the ASPxPageControl, there are two tabs.
The PopUpElement of ASPxPopupControl is in the second tab. And on the PageLoad(), I've configured to display the first tab.
I want to enable/disable texbox in the form according to the user selection of the radio button. But, when AutoPostBack is enabled, the entire page is refreshed, and the default tab will be the first one. And to resume the form, i've to manually click the second tab and the ASPxPopupControl will open automatically.
Is there anyway to resolve this?? Is there any other control other than radio button to do this?(Which accepts client side scripting)
Firstly, Do you need to postback to enable/disable textboxes? you have rich ClientSide Events for Textboxes to enable/disable/hide them (SetVisible, SetEnabled).
Secondly, you can have your second Tab Content in an AspxCallbackPanel, and when Radio Button changes, you Can do a CallbackPanel Refresh (PerformCallback). Thus, only the Tab Content will update.

enter key and multiple submit buttons in .net

if i have multiple submit buttons and the user enters some text in a textbox and presses enter. How can i specify which button event i want to fire?
You can specify for an asp.net Panel the id of button in the property DefaultButton. So, you need to group the controls into panels and then you can specify the default button for any of them. Also, you can specify a default button for the whole page - in the form tag.

ASP.NET validation

I have a little problem with the validation in one form
the form is composed by two taqs. There is a "Save" button in each tap (is the same control for both) and saves the form info. there are validation controls in one tab but not in the second. When we try to save the info from the second tab, and the info has not been filled in the first tab, the validators fire, and nothing happends, but because this validators are shown in the other tab, the end user might be thinking that the operation has been completed, instead, I would like to show a msgBox telling the user about the errors in the other tab. How do I know that the validators in the other tab have been fired, and display the error message when the button is clicked?
You should use the ValidationGroup of your validator controls and the appropriate submit button. You can also use a ValidationSummary control which displays a summary of the validation messages - this can be set to display a message box if you want by setting the property ShowMessageBox=true.
taqs - tap
dear why are you so confused?
All the validators are posted to the page as JavaScript functions. You can call the validation function on button's click and take the appropriate action.
You can use on buttons
onClientClick="Page_ClientValidate();"
