I am pretty new to WP (I came from Joomla) and I am finding some difficulties trying to put on my local web server an old backup of a website (made using WP 3.5)
I have performed the following operation:
1) I have put the website backup into a directory named blog into my Apache www directory on my Ubuntu local system.
2) Then I have put the database backup on my MySql local server
3) Finally I have change the values in the wp-config.php file to use my local DB
The problem is that when I try to open the URL to see the website I see noting (a white screen)
Into the Apache log file (/var/log/apache2/error.log) I found the following errors messages:

Make sure within the database the url structures has been same. It looks like some file is missing or the path structure is not proper.

The main problem is that I don't have a wordpress installed in the virtual-host where I found the these errors. On the same server, there are other intallations of word-press that I don't have access to.
Does anybody know why I'm seeing these logs messages? The referer page doesn't exist on my server, but it's easy to change in a http request made from scratch.
Could it be a random attack?
I´ve got a problem with installing wordpress on centos 7.
I used this guide to install it cause I´m quite new to linux:

Can anyone help me? Since now I´ve got nothing installed on the server except teamspeak 3. On my old root server (Hetzner Online) everything worked well but now it doesn´t...Any ideas of how to fix it? I already changed the permissions of all wordpress files but still the same error..

Check permissions of the folder and files where you are storaging your wordpress files, apache should be able to read them.

I had the same issue today. It was a problem with .htaccess file of the server in my case.
You can find it in the /public_html/ folder.
Rename it to .htacces_old, or with some other name, then try to reload a website page.
If you can't find this file - it may be because this is a hidden file. You can change it's visiblility on CPANEL > Settings, check a box "Show hidden files (dotfiles).
One of your Wordpress security plugins checks each IP against a blacklist of IPs and if there is a match then that IP is not allowed to connect.
I checked 2 of the IPs listed above and one came up:
http://www.liveipmap.com/199.21.148.44 (open proxy)
and another came up
https://www.projecthoneypot.org/ip_198.143.38.33 (spam harvester / comment spammer)
If you want to allow open proxy and comment spammers, you need to check every setting in your security plugin or find a different plugin to use).

Go to the WP Dashboard --> Settings --> Permalinks
click on default and save changes.
Then click on Postname and save changes.
I have rechecked my logs throughout the last hour and there are NO errors in the logs! Woot!
Now if Bit51 would have addressed this directly ... it so would have solved a headache I really did not need today! UGH.

I'm learning symfony by following this tutorial on making a blog: http://tutorial.symblog.co.uk/docs/doctrine-2-the-blog-model.html
Things have gone swimmingly until I got to the part about installing DoctrineFixturesBundle. The tutorial is for symf 2.0, and 2.1 installs it differently. I followed the instructions here: http://symfony.com/doc/master/bundles/DoctrineFixturesBundle/index.html using composer.
This removed a LOT of vendors, including twig, and now symfony gives me the white screen of death.
Also, my composer.phar file is VERY different, and looks almost corrupted. Near the top it has this: __HALT_COMPILER(); ?>^M
The entire file is 35627 lines long, which seems very wrong.
I'm not even sure where to begin looking to fix this. I'm using version control, so I have an old version of my composer.phar file, do I simply want to get that back and start again?

What does your composer.json file look like? I would redownload composer, check the composer.json file and do a
php composer.phar update symfony/symfony
I am trying to fix a plugin problem on a friend's website. The plugin widget should display x2 images & some links but on my friends website the images show as garbled code.
I cannot find answers to what is causing this.

I have tried deleting all plugins to check for conflicts & I have even tried reinstalling WordPress on the affected site with no success.
I am not sure of the cause of this problem (I saw somewhere that garbage code will display if the image code is taken straight from the database without ref to the image MIME type? Might that be happening here or is there an issue with the webhosting?).

What does this mean-does it help to find a fix?
Hard to fix without the source, but it appears your widget on the failing site is dumping the contents of the database out to the stream instead of generating a link to it. Either you aren't running the exact same widget code or there is some difference in the top-level Apache config that is causing an error in the widget output.
EDIT: Some configuration detail of the second server is off. The working server has this HTTP response header:
Server: Apache mod_fcgid/2.3.6 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635
The server that doesn't work has this HTTP response header:

Perhaps something that the plugin needs fails when not using mod_fcgi?
