Esplanade theme - WordPress - Responsive design - wordpress

I want to when screen resolution less eg. 960px, left and right sidebar don't move down, below content div. On 960px width resolution, content div is width 100%, I don't want this, I want to all reduce proportionately and right and left sidebar stay in the same place how can see on bigger resolution.

check your style.css file. there must be css media queries for that. If you can show me the code I can help you.Cant help without see anything.

Why is the width of my footer not reaching the full width on smartphone? I'm using Wordpress

I have a footer styled for my Wordpress site, which is not appearing to reach the full width of the site on mobile. Also, I am always able to scroll width ways, as if the site is wider than the mobile viewport. This only happens on mobile portrait, not on desktop or tablet.
I have all widths set to 100% (the header, the body, the footer and several others) but it seems the footer width renders as 1333px width whereas the header and body widths render as 1349px (as in inspect dev tools on laptop).
I have no fixed widths for any elements set in pixels of over 300px.
The footer is placed outside of the main and the main container but within the body.
I don't think any of the elements within the footer are the problem, as I have removed them and replaced them but the same problem still exists.
Photo included: Gap to right of footer
This problem maybe because one of your HTML tags on the entire webpage (out of the footer) is bigger then the screen
This problem not from the footer,please check the other parts of the webpage
Hi Hazem and thank you for your reply again. Update: I now know what was causing this problem. A left margin set in pixels on my content div that was set to 80% width was adding to the gap to the right of the footer, but only on mobile view. I then realised that my media queries were not working but I have now sorted that out, hence I have sorted the problem.
Thank you for your help.

Left Margin responsiveness

i am sorry to disturb you all, but i want to understand how a certain margin responsiveness works.
As you can see on this site http://www.trade-ideas.com/about-us/ the navbar, the paragraphs, the h1, h2 and the footer maintain the same left-margin as you resize the browser window (with firefox the effect it's more clear).
It's like when the elements reach the limit of the left margin (that is mean zero), they restart just on the same distance (the same margin-left) that they where before i was starting resize my browser width.
I've noticed that the navbar included in bootstrap also has this left margin responsiveness: as i resize in width my browser's window, the navbar continue to stay in the same left-margin range, restarting every time he reach the zero margin-left.
In fact, on this bootstrap page you can find the exact same effect in all the page's elements (the navbar and the div box on the body) : http://getbootstrap.com/examples/navbar/
With firebug i've tried to search what parameter set this particular effect, but i'm not an expert, and i didn't find a solution.
So, my question is: this left-margin responsiveness it's generated by a set of #media queries instructions to a set of width? Or there is something that i'm missing?
Thank you in advance for all the help that you'll give me.
Andrew
p.s.: i noticed that on http://getbootstrap.com/examples/navbar/ if i delete "margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;" the effect that i need doesn't show up anymore.
I tried to create a div container with that margin auto on my site, but i was not able to ricreate the effect (maybe that "margin-left-right:auto" it's just a part of the effect).
The media queries are the ones that make sure the website is responsive. The example: http://getbootstrap.com/examples/navbar/ is using media queries to set the width of the container. If you set the media queries to change when the screen width is 700px and when you make the width of the screen smaller. The media queries will register the px of the screen and when the width of the screen is equal 700px the container will change.

How to fix responsive website to not let user scroll horizontally

I have designed a responsive website but whenever I view the site when the display width is smaller than 510px wide eg. iPhone or shrinked browser the content works as it should and compresses to the width of the browser but there is a big white space to the right and the user and scroll horizontally.
I find this unusual as there is no media queries for 510px width, just 390px, 700px, 850px, 906px and 960px. Below is a screenshot of what is happening.
Thanks.
You need to remove width:500px; on <h1> elements.

How do I resize an image for a 960 grid web design?

On my website I have a slider of images across the top. This is the demo of the drupal theme (the company, not my website),
http://demo.drupalizing.com/?theme=bluemasters
All my pictures are different sizes or different kinds of shots. I don't know how to say it. I can re-size in any program. If I keep the aspect ratio, the 960px will be fine, but the bottom will be stretched.
How do I keep it all good and fit it in 960?
If not 960, what is a good number or other type of design?
Can I use CSS? Do I use an image program like Gimp, Paint.net, etc.?
As long as all your pictures are larger than 960px in width you can use HTML or CSS markup to resize the image to 960px. However, please remember that there is no way to display the an entire image say 4000x2000 in a 960px box without making it look small or choppy. In this case I would use an image editing program and cut out the main focus of the image and save it as a 960x300 (or whatever height) image.
From your link, the slider images are all 930px x 320px. You can use CSS to overcome this limitation, but your images might stretch out of proportion.
I would start with a an art work that is 930px x 320px, and just crop your photos according to this aspect ratio.
In this BlueMaster theme, the CSS already has a width set to 100% so no need to worry about scaling.
Online photo editor tool: http://pixlr.com/editor/
File -> New Image
Width -> 930
Height -> 320

Wordpress - how to resize header image for mobile

preamble:
I am using a somewhat responsive theme (skeleton).
it changes the layout to a single column for small screen sizes,
my problem is:
my header image (that i inserted using the theme options in the admin panel) is not scaling when the screen is resized. it remains at 940x150 all the time.
when viewed on mobile this is causing a full sized header with content in a single column on the left, so im left with all kinds of whitespace.
I would like to: cause the image to scale down with the screen width
OR
replace the header image with one meant to fit smaller screen sizes.
the problem with option 2 is not all devices have the same screen width so it still needs to be scaleable to a point.
Ideally:
when above the below stated width, the image will scale to fit the screen between the 700-something (ipad landscape) and the 940 standard.
when below a certain screen width (say below tablet/ipad size, so 700-something max-width), the image is swapped for the smaller one, which then scales up or down between 300 and 700-something (just below the ipad size).
in this way the image would always be a decent size for the rendering of the site.
the problem with this particular image is the amount of whitespace (empty space) in the middle.
below a certain width, i would think the elements of the image would become artifacted and messy with so much space between them.

porthuronairportshuttle.com
Add this to your css:
img {
height: auto;
max-width: 100%;
}
I figured it out. It was actually a matter of removing the header I uploaded with theme options and uploading it with wp core functions. Then I moved the nav bar in the header.php and after some tweaks with margins and padding - poof!
