openX alternatives, maybe self hosted - openx

I've been using openX self hosted ad management software lately, but it's sooo slow.
Goal: I need to be able to show an ad for 10 clicks then disable the ad, and do it daily.
Problem: When I set openX at 10 clicks per day, its so slow that it may disable the ad after like 30 clicks instead, that's no good.
Can anybody recommend an ad management software that can do what I want, and is free or cheap? Im looking at adzerk atm, which is free, but my campaigns are pending, and thats silly.
Im on the hunt for an openX alternative.

We've moved quite a few high-traffic publishers over from OpenX with an automated migration. We were big fans of OpenX in the past, but finally faced the reality of its technology stack (including Revive's) and built an alternative: http://broadstreetads.com/blog/why-openx-is-slow/

azure account not being recognized by visual studio

was trying to follow documentation here to deploy a website
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/get-started/csharp/tutorial-aspnet-core-ef-step-05?view=vs-2019
but Microsoft visual studio isn't detecting my azure account?following the instructions from the page i right click on my project in the Solution explorer and went to publish.
This opens up a dialogue asking to create or select existing. I chose create as I have no priors. This then prompted me for an azure account which I already have. I originalyl clicked sign into an existing account and it didn't pick up my azure account even though the email is the same as the one in my azure portal I then clicked create a new account from visual studio and click on free account button that popped up on the webpage. it then took me to this screen
account token.
I've tried restarting vs several times to see if it simply wasn't getting the account token properly or something. I've also checked a million times that the email in the top right of my Azure portal is the same email as the one in the top right of my visual studio dialogue. my only hypothetical problem in my mins is maybe my 30 days didn't actually mean a year free subscription and therefore now I have to upgrade to pay as you go. and pay as you go seems to actually mean 30 dollars a month not free until you get a required service as the payment plan seems to imply.
sorry i was confusing cost of use with cost of support. kind of unclear when setting that up. got that problem fixed. also my free trial had expired so i by default need tto use pay as you go, which is still free as long as i don't used payment services, but i should be careful as there no warning when it will charge you and what will start costing something. it would be nice if you could turn warnings of cost on or something.

Setting-up a live ASP website

So, I've been setting my sights on MS Azure for quite awhile as my top hosting choice. I have a trial account and since I am still in the development phase of my ASP project, I wouldn't want to have to spent a cent yet.
However after a month, the issue of how I am going to host my website came into mind. I haven't tried Azure yet, however assuming I want to host it privately or using a VPS to save costs, how exactly do I transition my project for hosting?
Azure has a toolkit which handles the uploading and whatnot for me, however if I engage in VPS services, how do I set-up my website and will the cost difference be something worth looking at?
A lot depends on what your needs are. "Hosting an ASP.Net website" covers a pretty broad spectrum from a simple one-page site that no one but you and a couple friends look at to a complex and highly trafficked site like StackOverflow. Telling you what you need to do to host your site is impossible without more details. However, to get you started with some basic information so that you can ask a better question I recommend you start with this page, scroll down to the paragraphs labelled "Web Sites" and "Cloud Services".

Real time chat implementation for SharePoint

I have a client interested in a real time chat application for a SharePoint intranet portal to enable online interview style chat sessions.
Has anyone got reccomendations for a product on the Microsoft Stack that does this? Something that is integrated into SharePoint would be prefferable, but any ASP.NET product would suffice.
The solution would need to be pretty robust as we would expect over 1000 users during a given session.
Microsoft Office Communication Server is the way Microsoft intended chat for SharePoint. I dont know if its just for 1 to 1 communcation or if there is a good multi-user support.
Another way to implement chat (or IM) in SharePoint is to use Windows Live Messanger and the green precense icon which shows up to the left of all names in SharePoint. But this is probably not the way you want to use chat.
We initially turned to handy Windows Live Messanger, However we dropped it because of security concerning.
We are using Groove, which look advisable so far.
FYI
There is ChatterBox. It's more of a demo app but the source code is available. The latest version is dated 2007 and is in beta with AJAX support.
As you have the source code, I'm sure you could take it and turn it into something nice.
I did a little work into this but dropped it because it take alot work to implete all needed features.
The easiest way looked to use IRC. IRC client software is available as asp.net, use via an iframe or make into a custom web part, there are also flash or java clients which could be imbedded.
You would need to setup a IRC server.
There is a third party product for SharePoint 2010 called GameTime that supports real-time web based chat integrated into SharePoint.

Google Analytics-like module for Drupal site behind firewall?

Anyone know how to use Google Analytics for a Drupal-powered company intranet site behind our firewall?
and/or
Anyone know of a good analytics-style module for Drupal that can tell us things like visitor browser/versions, OS, monitor size, etc. ? Pretty graphs and charts nice but not required. Or at the least a recipe for rolling our own thru views?
I'll tackle the firewall issue by saying- set up a stats package on an internal web server. There are a few Drupal modules that provide the connective tissue.
Piwik might still be a little raw, but it has good screenshots. It is sort of a self-hosted Google Analytics. FireStats has popped up since I last checked into this. Also available is BAWStats which operates by log analysis.
WebTrends can do that -- but it's not cheap.
Take a look # mint it may reside with your drupal files .......
it is my alternative for Google Analytics with local intranets.
EDIT : there it's the Mint module. Here is an excerpt from its project page:
Provides basic integration with Mint, a proprietary traffic logging and statistics tool.

Difference between "Oracle Siebel CRM On Demand" and salesforce.com CRM

Looking for differences between Oracle's Siebel CRM On Demand and salesforce.com CRM
Actually looking for points favouring the Siebel OD CRM
Tried googling and bing-ing it but found old stale information from around 3-4 yrs back, so any links to updated information will also be appreciated deeply.
And while we are on the subject, how good are the prospects of a career in Siebel On Demand CRM.
Thanks for your time people.
Having developed in Siebel for over 13 years, Siebel/Oracle CRM OnDemand for 3-4 years and SFDC for 6-7 months. You made the right decision. Oracle CRM OnDemand is a useless piece of junk. If it can't solve your business requirements OOTB it basically never will. It has absolutely no server side code support and the client side JavaScript is limited to only 1500 characters. You can however include your own javascript files but you will need to host them on another server, which kind of beats the purpose of using Oracle's hosted environment in the first place.
If you are using Oracle CRM OnDemand I here from good inside sources that there is no upgrade path for any custom configurations at all to the planned Fusion CRM platform. Apparently your data will be migrated but no configurations.
Now I don't believe that SFDC is the greatest thing that I have ever seen, but in comparrison to Oracle CRM Ondmand they are not even in the same game. Do yourself a favour and switch to SFCD, if you haven't purchaed Oracle CRM OnDemand, seriously don't waste your time.
We could not find anything that favored Siebel and consequently switched to Salesforce.
Never been happier.
