can I perform searches using Solr on Riak with the Java client
I will need to insert the data in Java to support Solr search and then query it
Version 2.0 of Riak, which is currently under development (there is a technical preview available here), will contain enhanced full text search capability through deep integration between Solr and Riak. I am not sure if there is a version of the Java client currently available that supports this functionality, but as the release date for 2.0 gets closer it is likely to soon be available.

I am new to DynamoDB and trying to learn, while going through the docs I got a doubt whether DynamoDB is version agnostic or not also I want to know wether it is backwards compatible or not?
In addition I also want to know how to download local DynamoDB of different versions if possible and how can I change the version of DynamoDB in the webservice of aws ?
dynamoDB is a cloud hosted datastore. It it not a piece of software that you can download or install. As far as I know, there is no version, and you can't/don't have to select any version anywhere.
At most you can use some docker containers that mimics the behavior of dynamoDB to some extend. They are useful for testing and dev purposes, but keep in mind they are just mocks.
I'm working with BonitaSoft Community version 7.6.3 and I want to create a CMIS connector to list the folders and documents for version 5.2 of Alfresco. I noticed that for this version of Bonita many connectors that existed in version 5.9.1 disappeared. When I asked the question how could I list Alfresco's folders and documents indicated that I would have to create a connector, however when reading the documentation for UI Designer forms it is not possible and that the solution would be REST API extension. When I analyze information about how to create REST API extensions it only gives Performance, Efficiency and Teamwork. How can I get around this?
The REST API extension documentation page has been updated and now cover the community edition as well.
Note that connector are used when you need to interact between Bonita process execution and an external system. Execution of connectors happen on the Bonita server. When executed, a connector has access to a context that includes information about the current process definition, instance and task instance.
REST API extension are usually call from the user web browser. More precisely it is the forms or pages served by Bonita that will execute the REST API call. REST API is executed on the Bonita server but has no context information about the currently running process or task. If you need such information you need to provide them as part of the REST API extension.
Are there scripts for exporting and importing all Apigee Edge objects, such as developers, users, apps, caches, key value maps, etc?
To clarify, it would be nice to have non-runtime objects as a priority vs. the runtime data contained within. E.g., the current content of caches are not as critical as just having the cache object available.
I have released a tool that can be used to retrieve Apigee organization settings. This tool has been in use internally at Apigee for some time, but this is the first time it has been released to the public. It uses the Apigee management API to pull configuration data, and that data to be pulled is configurable. The data is stored in a hierarchical directory structure, which can be archived, explored, or used to compare organizations. It can be used with both the Apigee Edge cloud and on-prem offerings.
A few caveats:
This tool does not retrieve all data from an organization. For example, it does not retrieve API proxies. Use the Apigee management UI or management API to retrieve API proxies.
The tool is composed of a few bash scripts. It has been successfully run on Linux and Mac OS X.
The tool does not write data back into the organization, although the files it retrieves can often be POSTed back to the organization using the management API.
This tool is released as-is. It is not officially supported by Apigee.
Find the tool at the api-platform samples site (https://github.com/apigee/api-platform-samples) in the tools/org-snapshot directory.
There is work planned to provide a tool that will export/import provisional data (such as apps, developer, products). Other aspects of an org's configuration require access to the production Cassandra database, which cannot be given out publicly. We have a provisional tool for in-house use that we are currently hardening. If the consumer tool (when it is available) doesn't provide all of the backup support you need, you will need to log a support ticket for them to run the in-house tool.
There are scripts for importing a set of objects (developers, apps, API products) that work with the sample proxies that you can find on GitHub:

As far as I can tell, this project http://knowledge.openwide.fr/Main/AlfrescoETLConnector
only supports Alfresco 3.3 and under. Are there any Talend connectors for Alfresco 4.0? We have so much development work in 4.0 that we don't even want to think of rolling back to 3.3, and would like to use an ETL like Talend to load batches of files into Alfresco.
Are there other ETL tools we should consider that have Alfresco 4.0 connectors? Can we use any Talend / CMIS compliant connector? Suggestions on products to look at? Thanks.
This is Ronny from XeniT.
If you want to load documents and meta-data, you might consider

You can integrate this with Talend, but it allows easy and fast migration of content into Alfresco.
On the Talend Exchange you can find various extensions e.g. custom components, which you can install in your TOS.
The exchange provides a CMIS input component that is able to access CMIS-compliant content repositories (like Alfresco) via CMIS SQL.
I also worked on an output component (tCmisOutput), which can create/update content. But this component has not been published yet. Since you are looking for way to load files into Alfresco, I will publish it in the next days on Talend Exchange or send the source code if you contact me via email.
I've recently published new Advanced CMIS components for Talend (in alpha version).
You can download it on Talend Exchange

The latest version of the Talend CMIS component developed by Ekito is on GitHub
https://github.com/Ekito/talend-cmis-components
However it will not work with Talend version 6 right out of the box. I've created a blog post describing the fix you need to apply to the component here:
http://www.datalytyx.com/fixing-the-cmis-component-issue-in-talend-6-gated/
Since last year, the Alfresco ETL Connector for Talend has been updated to support Alfresco 4.1, as said in the README :

I am starting a new project and must decide which CMIS client library we will use.
Our Java project just needs to connect an a CMIS server (actually Alfresco but it should not matter), in order to perform some read/write/search operations.
I am looking for a client library that:
is already usable
is not going to be abandoned soon
has an active community of users
is open source
Which one would you recommend and why?
Here are a few possibilities:
Apache Chemistry's OpenCMIS (winner by now)
xCMIS
chemistry-atompub-client (abandoned)
chemistry-abdera (not very active)
Abdera (difficult)
Use the AtomPub or Web Service directly (difficult)
I recommend OpenCMIS. (Well, I have to since I'm involved in the project.)
It's an active project supported by a broad community. OpenCMIS supports both bindings, AtomPub and Web Services, and has been tested against a number of repositories.
chemistry-atompub-client has been abandoned and chemistry-abdera is not very active. You can, of course, handle the AtomPub binding directly, but that's a lot of work.
You may also use an Alfresco-specific OpenCMIS extension for the sake of simplicity.
