I want to add space between the rendered events in fullcalendar. So if I have two events on the same day and say their background color is blue i want to add additional white space between them. How can I do that? I haven't been able to find the style to change to accomplish that.
I have recently been working with the fullcalendar for a project of mine and a simple solution to the problem that you are having is to add a white border around each event to get that extra spacing.
Check out http://arshaw.com/fullcalendar/docs/event_rendering/eventBorderColor/ for more information. Hope this helps.
Just add margin-bottom to the event's styling rules. FullCalendar includes margins when positioning events.
CSS:
.fc-event {
margin-bottom: 1px;
}

I am trying to design the first Book Now button of this page (https://www.bridgecitychrysler.com/book-service/) to overlap onto the white section below the hero image. Even though I have set the z-index incredibly high, it is not showing up in front of the section below.
If someone is able to figure this out just in the inspect tool, that would be great!
Thanks,
Looks like your .hero-widget css has overflow: hidden; set, disabling that seems to have made it visible!
Try removing position:relative from your button class.
This makes the button reappear, and then remove transform: translateX(-50%) from the a tag in the cta-container for proper alignment.
Use pointer-events:none for these type of situation, when click events is not working for overlapped content, use pointer-events:none
I have a split Bootstrap dropdown that I am wrapping in a form and adding to a table heading. The issue is that when you narrow the screen size the dropdown toggle element wraps. At first I assumed it was the form wrap but I think its the table heading.
Here is a http://www.bootply.com/zzRJxiYy80 for an example with live code.

MINOR UPDATE (More details on comments from answer)
In my case I am using the outline buttons. I have Ransack sort links in each button and filters in the dropdown. The second 'Major Category' one has a slightly wider line than the rest and at this point I am making way too much of a big deal of it. Minor stuff like that drives me nuts but I need to let it go :)
This one is at -0.45em
I played with this and settled on -0.37em
I would suggest overriding Bootstrap's use of float:left for keeping these .btn elements on the same line, and instead use display:inline-block for that. Then, you can use white-space:nowrap to prevent them from breaking to multiple lines when space becomes limited.
Most of the styles you need (display:inline-block and white-space:nowrap) are actually already defined in Bootstrap's CSS - you just need a couple more styles to use them to your advantage:
.btn-group.nowrap > .btn{
float:none;
}
.btn-group.nowrap > .btn:not(:first-child){
margin-left: -0.4em; /* To deal with whitespace between inline-block elements */
}
Here's an updated Bootply to demonstrate. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
I want to make animation where if user clicks/hover the button with border radius that this animation runs.
Animation: Line starts say from top left corner and starts travelling/tracing at the edge/border/parameter and then completes going in clockwise direction.
Sort of like line animation. I have seen it but i dont remember where, i saw it in css version, no svg.
Check out the answers on this post. It's probably not exactly what you're looking for but it might give you some idea.
How to animate border drawing with jQuery?
To make a CSS Animation on a Button is very simple. You just need to define a class on that button and in your CSS code define what happens when that button is hovered over. Now, if you don't want to hassle with writing CSS hover code, you could use ButtonAnimations, a website that provides users with several button animations with the code so that they can implement it into their websites. I use it almost every day when i'm coding a CSS & HTML site from scratch. I have provided ButtonAnimation's link. ButtonAnimations - Create amazing looking buttons and animations with CSS, no javascript required
But before you add animations to your button you need to create it first. (Let me remind you, ButtonAnimations provides you buttons to use beforehand)
<button class='test_button'> Hello StackoverFlow! </button>
And in the CSS do:
.test_button {
background-color: blue;
border-radius: 20px;
width: 200px;
height: 100px;
}
What this code will do is make an HTML Button and style it with CSS. The styling includes changing the width and height, changing the background color to blue and curving the edges of the button with border-radius: 20px;
Thanks for reading! Hope this helps.

I know how to display an icon as such:
<span class='icon-remove'></span>
But If I add padding to the span, extra icon shows up. How to fix it?
span {
padding-right:60px;
}
fiddle
The glyphs are presented using one large image map (or so called CSS sprites), so if you leave enough space on in either side of the element it will show other glyphs as well. Two solutions comes to mind:
1) Put the icon in a containing element:
<span><i class='icon-remove'></i></span>
2) Or use margin:
span { margin-right: 60px }
I figure you just want to have some whitespace to the right of the icon? Have you tried margin:
<span class='icon-remove' style='margin-right:60px'></span>
The reason extra padding displays more icons is that Bootstrap uses CSS sprites to display icons. What you're actually seeing is a background image, more specifically a section of a large background image that includes many available icons. The definition of the class "icon-remove" specifies the background-position property to select the particular icon. If you add padding, you will reveal more of the background image, which will show additional icons.
The solution, then, is to either add margin, as Rid Iculous suggested, or couch your within another element and add padding to that. I'd go with the margin.
I'm trying to style the fullcalendar jquery plugin, and have it mostly set, with one problem. I want to have spacing between the cells (ie. so can see background behind table), which I can do by overriding the css border-spacing property, however when I do that, the width calculations for fullcalendar get thrown off, and my far right column ('Saturday' in month view) gets shrunk. Is there any way to tell fullcalendar that I'm using spacing, or some other way to have that calculated through?
Thanks,
Alex
can you add this to the issue tracker?
http://code.google.com/p/fullcalendar/issues/list
thanks!
I was having the same issue that you are facing. As opposed to digging through the .js i just 'fixed' this with css by adding width to the fc-sat column with addclass, matching the width of the other columns of the desired #calendar width.
$(function () {
$('.fc-sat').addClass('adjustit');
});
With these classes in my css
<style>
#calendar{width:780px;}
.adjustit{width:103px !important;}
</style>
Hope this helps.
