Where to find the created articles in joomla 3.1 in the htdocs? - joomla3.1

I had a hard time of looking the created articles in joomla 3.1 in the htdocs where my joomla folder is found. Or is it possible for me to find the php code for my created article? Thank you so much..

Your created articles are stored in the database, not as a script file. You should look at your #__content table.

how to view and edit a wordpress php file locally (MAMP)

I am helping out creating a few wordpress templates. I've been sent over the basic content (wp-admin/wp-content/wp-includes folders and other wp-* files).
They've already created a new theme, and one front-page.php file. This file includes "parts" such as get_header and get_footer.
Essentially now they'd like me to create new templates using this theme, and php variables to make updating easier. My question is - how can I view this so I can see what i'm making?
I downloaded MAMP and set up a local server, and if I create a sample .php file in the htdocs folder, that page appears correctly. However when I paste the Wordpress folder that I was sent, nothing loads. Is there a special way to get a front-page.php including partials to load within a theme? Am I missing something obvious here?
You will have to Install WordPress completely in order to make it work. Then you will be able to add your folder in the "Themes" folder of WordPress..
You can Google "How to Install WordPress on Mamp" for more info... you will find plenty of websites helping you.
I also suggest you read a few blog post on how to create WordPress Themes... :)
Good luck

Wordpress. Downloadable doc/pdf files by category on my page

I have a question. I need to add a downloadable doc/pdf files to my page by category. Tell me what I can do? Doc files will be stored in the database? I can't understand how to realize it. Help, please.
Firstly, you can't store .doc and .pdf files in a database. Your files will be stored in the wp-content folder. Databases are to be used explicitly for storing website content in tables, such as posts, pages and plugin settings for example.
I'd highly recommend you look at some basic WordPress tutorials to understand how WordPress works before taking on something like this.
You can browse the plugin directory to look for a good file manager.
Here's an article that may help you - https://www.wpmayor.com/best-document-file-management-plugins-wordpress/
Google-fu is essential for solving very simply problems like this.

How to download wordpress source code?

I created a wordpress site with their template. In order to host my wordpress site on another hosting platform, I need the source code for my wordpress.com site. (that contains all the .php files). Is there an easy way to do that? This is my first time using wordpress so I'm very confused.
Thanks!
So the answer above is correct but that probably doesn't help you. What you can do is follow this link:
http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/transfer-wordpress/
It basically shows you how to migrate the data. You will need to setup wordpress.org on your new location first then once both are up, you can export from wordpress.com to your new location using I think a migration wordpress plugin. This should bring over your database. You will need to figure out how to migrate the template and style (look and feel) of the site. You may want to just find a new template that you like because I don't know how compatible wordpress.com templates are.
Hope this helps.
WordPress.com uses a modified version of the code available at https://wordpress.org/. You can't download their modified version, but you can download WordPress.org and start from there.
if you want to download a theme, you can find said theme on wordpress.org. If the theme is listed as premium, you'll have to buy it.
if you want to change yourDomain.wordpress.com to yourdomain.com please read this page.

Joomla 3.2 not working with template

I have a joomla 3.2 site. Templates like eclipse, business, smartone are not working with my joomla site. Only 'home' shown, other menus are not shown in my page but default template works nice but i need to work with good template. Please help me!!
Templates are managed by Joomla! in the same way as any other extension. But sometimes you may occasionally run into a situation where you cannot install a template in your Joomla 2.5 site with Upload Package File in the Extension Manager. And again and again you see this same message that the system could not find xml setup file (“JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file“). You have to use alternative template installation methods, for example, installation via FTP.
you can use use the following link to install it again manually:

Folder permissions for Wordpress on Azure

I have recently created a new Wordpress site, on azurewebsites.net. After the initial instal, I updated the PHP version to 5.4 and then resarted the site.
I was having trouble creating new folders, and in paticular, a plugin wasn't working as I would have expected.
The plugin was the WPTouch plugin. I installed the plug, but each time I tried to upload a new image to the
/wp-content/uploads/wptouch/custom-icons
(via the plugin, this was the final destination) I was getting the error message:
There seems to have been an error.
Please try your upload again.
Within Web Matrix 2, I do not have the ability to create a new folder (I thought that I would create the folders myself, and see if that resolved the problem).
So my question is - is there an issue with the folder permissions, and if so, how can I get round this to make the Wordpress plugin work.
Thanks for your time.
I have had similar issues (upgrading WP plugins on Azure Website) and have found the only way to upgrade these is to restart the services, manually delete the remnants in the plugins folder, and re-install.
It's far from ideal but I'm persisting with it for now..
