Drupal 7.21 install error -- failed to open stream - drupal

I am trying to install Drupal onto a server. I had originally installed 7.22, found errors, read that I should instead install 7.21 and upgrade, so I attempted that but am now receiving the following error at the Configure Site page of the install process. I am installing with root authority, so I am stumped as to why I am getting a permissions error. I have redacted the actual database username and replaced with [database username].
Warning: fopen(D:\Webs[database username]\drupal-7.21/sites/default/settings.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in drupal_rewrite_settings() (line 652 of D:\Webs[database username]\drupal-7.21\includes\install.inc).
Thank you so much for any help, I really don't know what else to try! As a note, I do still have the default sites folder on the server from when I installed 7.22. I have renamed it to "oldsites" because it will not allow me to delete it from the server.

Drupal needs permissions to write to the sites/default/settings.php file during install...make sure your web server has the correct permissions on that file and you should be good to go.
Also, try it with 7.22 (not 7.21), there's no good reason to install 7.21 and upgrade. I've installed loads of 7.22 sites on loads of different servers and never once had a problem

Drupal site is broken due to badly installed module

I tried to install Simple OAuth (https://www.drupal.org/project/simple_oauth) module in my drupal site running in a shared Godaddy hosting. My first mistake was not to read the installation guide instructing to install the module by using composer. Instead, I installed the module using the Extend=>install a module link within Drupal. Installing the simple_oauth and enabling the module crashed my site and there is no output from the site.
Then I realised there is something wrong with the installation and checked the error log file. The error logged was:
PHP Fatal error: Interface 'League\OAuth2\Server\Repositories\AccessTokenRepositoryInterface' not found in /home/-----------/public_html/drupal/modules/simple_oauth/src/Repositories/AccessTokenRepository.php on line 10
At that point I realised there is something wrong with the installation and checked the module instructions which states I should use composer to install the module. I tried to solve this problem by redoing the installation from the ssh by using composer and this command:
composer config repositories.drupal composer https://packages.drupal.org/8 && composer require drupal/simple_oauth:^3
Which did not work because GoDaddy shared hosting plan has only 512mb of rams and composer kills the command because of lack of memory.
I tried reading through and understand how Composer works. There were recommendations saying you should never use composer in a production site and you should run it on your computer and copy the composer.lock file which needs much less rams. I created a PHP server using XAMMP on my computer and copied the composer.json file to my computer and run composer update command in my computer. It downloaded the dependencies and stuff on my computer. And feeling I get the hang of it, I copied the composer.lock file in my drupal server, run composer update command and saw composer delete many stuff which I could not undo.
So my questions are: 1- Is there a way of rescuing this drupal site at this point? I deleted many composer dependencies as far as I can understand.
The new error log says: PHP Fatal error: Interface 'Symfony\Component\HttpKernel\HttpKernelInterface' not found in /home/--------/public_html/drupal/core/lib/Drupal/Core/DrupalKernelInterface.php on line 15
2- If not, which is fine as I was just beginning to setup the site. Is it possible for someone to explain the best way of handling this scenario? I mean installing a module using composer in a memory critical place. Or explain how composer works for layman. I read about all the dependency stuff but could not figure out how to use it for this scenario.
Thanks.

Deploying a file in Artifactory's Web GUI generates an '<filename> undefined' error

I am using Artifactory Professional, version 5.6.0 rev 50600900
When I try to deploy a file through the Artifactory web UI, I'm getting an error: '<filename> is undefined' in a red popup box.
When I look in the system log, I see:
2018-05-15 08:25:41,037 [http-nio-8081-exec-123] [ERROR] (o.a.r.c.e.GlobalExceptionMapper:48) - Permission denied
java.io.IOException: Permission denied
The time corresponds to the time I tried the deploy
Uploads using a curl command or via the Artifactory plugin in Jenkins work without any problems.
I am an administrator on Artifactory. other users with Delete/Overwrite, Deploy/Cache, Annotate and Read also are not able to upload to repos via the web UI.
I get the undefined error with all files i try to deploy, large or small. this error occurs for users on windows, mac os and linux.
thanks in advance for any help.
Looks like an file system permissions issue. Make sure that the OS user running Artifactory has write permissions to <ARTIFACTORY_HOME>/data/tmp.
The artifacts uploaded from the UI are temporally saved under this folder.

Wordpress Database Connection Error - PHP7 using MAMP

I have a localhost development environment using MAMP Pro, with a Wordpress website working successfully using PHP 5.6.8. Changing the host to PHP 7.0.13 (and changing nothing else) results in the error:
Warning: mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/2002): No such file or
directory in [edited path]/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1538
Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your
wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database
server at localhost:3306. This could mean your host’s database server
is down.
Screenshot of Complete Error
wp-config.php definitely has correct username, password, hostname and the database is running. Solutions to similar issues/warnings suggest the MySQL socket path in php.ini file could be wrong, but I have compared that file across the two php versions and they are the same.
I am using the latest versions of MAMP Pro (4.1) and Wordpress (4.7.4), as well as OS X (10.12.4). Also, the website works fine again when changing the host back to PHP 5.6.8.
No idea what else to do/check. Any thoughts are much appreciated.
Wordpress 4.6 later version is not supported in Php 7.0 So please Reinstall Php 5.6 and check .so working
After updating to PHP7 you need to check the path to the mysql.sock.
Open the php.ini file and correct the path
mysql.default_socket = /Applications/MAMP/bin/IDONTKNOW...../mysql.sock

unable to install composer for symfony

I am using a computer provided by my work org and I do not have any access to change firewall since I am just a user.
I am trying to install Composer to start on a symfony 2 project. When I try Composer exe file to install, I see this message - The "https://getcomposer.org/versions" file could not be downloaded: SSL operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages:
error:14090086:SSL routines:ssl3_get_server_certificate:certificate verify failed
failed to open stream: Cannot connect to HTTPS server through proxy
I Googled it but the solutions all given are related to firewall and can be solved by an Admin only.
It seems that you have network issues: Cannot connect to HTTPS server through proxy. You probably might want to work this out but since you have no access to network settings then it will be easier just to use Manual Download option from https://getcomposer.org/download/ . Just download composer.phar file from this url

Drupal 7 configuration error with Postgresql in Mac OS 10.6.5

I am trying to configure Drupal 7 with Postgres. At the database setup step, I get the following error.
Warning: PDO::_construct(): [2002] No such file or directory (trying to connect via unix:///var/mysql/mysql.sock) in DatabaseConnection->_construct() (line 300 of /Users/shamod/Sites/drupal/7/includes/database/database.inc).
In order for Drupal to work, and to continue with the installation process, you must resolve all issues reported below. For more help with configuring your database server, see the installation handbook. If you are unsure what any of this means you should probably contact your hosting provider.
Failed to connect to your database server. The server reports the following message: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory.
Is the database server running?
Does the database exist, and have you entered the correct database name?
Have you entered the correct username and password?
Have you entered the correct database hostname?
NOTE: I am trying to connect to Postgresql but it fails on var/mysql/mysql.sock error. I have setup the database connection string in settings.php for Postgresql. It still does not work.
Any idea?
Evidently you are trying to connect to a MySQL database instance, so you should review your database driver and connection configuration.
Just came up against this error myself when trying to use the web installer - might come down to a similar issue.
On the install page I wasn't given an option to use Postgres driver so I assumed I needed to use the "Mysql (or other)" option. However, looks like the Drupal install script checks which database drivers are compiled into PHP and only offers you what is available - my system didn't have php-pgsql installed by default.
So I needed to install the postgresql drivers to PHP first, reload apache then try the install again.
On CentOS-5:
sudo yum install php-pgsql
sudo service httpd restart
Then reload the install page and all worked fine.
