Created a Custom Provider based on an example by Sayed Ibrahim Hashimi.
Works on my machine ;) and on the web server (by RDC). But not when using msdploy from another machine.
Msdeploy script:
"C:\Program Files\IIS\Microsoft Web Deploy V3\msdeploy.exe"
-verb=sync -source:script=script.ps1
-dest:computerName=webserver,script=script.ps1,username=webserver\admin,password=dmin
-debug
-verbose
-setParamFile:parameters.xml
This is the message I got in the EventViewer on webserver:

Anyone seen this problem?
Ok fixed that.
Restart the msdpsvc and wmsvc services by doing this:
· net stop msdepsvc & net start msdepsvc
· net stop wmsvc & net start wmsvc

I'm getting this error when publishing my Blazor Server application after adding file uploads.
My project is using .net5
In my startup.cs file I have this code, in which if commented out, causes no errors. If I comment it out and publish the application works again but obviously file uploads stop working.
app.UseStaticFiles(new StaticFileOptions
{
FileProvider = new PhysicalFileProvider(
Path.Combine(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory(), "Files")),
RequestPath = "/Files"
});
app.UseRouting();
Further I will share the logged errors. They basically point back to line '86' which is where this code is. I can run the application IIS locally and it runs just fine, but breaks when published.

I have done a bunch of searching and find that I'm not the only one that has run into this problem in the past. I tried many suggested 'solutions', but to no avail.
I found the answer to my issue.
In my .csproj file.
I have this line.
<ItemGroup>
<PackageReference Include="Azure.Storage.Blobs" Version="12.10.0" />
</ItemGroup>
I downgraded to version 12.8.0 and it now works when published. I would assume something in how this function needs to be coded has changed since the older version.
I have asp.net core 2.1.6 application
It is running fine on Windows with IIS
public static IWebHostBuilder BuildWebHost(string[] args) => WebHost.CreateDefaultBuilder(args)
.UseStartup<StartupShutdownHandler>()
.UseLibuv(o => o.ThreadCount = 1000) //todo to explore concurrent connection option
;
when I tried to run same application on ubuntu i am not able to start and getting some exception. When I comment out UseLibuv(o => o.ThreadCount = 1000) line then it runs.
Exception i am getting is

SignalR 2.2.2 in SqlScaleoutConfiguration
Rebus 3.0.1
Some events stored in Rebus are handled by a notification hub and pushed to the clients using signalR.
Everything works fine, but this morning, after having published a new version, none of the clients received the "new version" message probably because of the following exception:

The message in Rebus queue results as correctly handled.
The handler is this:
public async Task Handle(ApplicationVersionEvent message)
{
await
Clients.All.CheckApplicationVersion(new ApplicationCurrentVersionNotification
{
CurrentVersion = message.CurrentVersion
});
}
It was resolved by a restart, but I need to understand what happened.
I similar issues are:
https://github.com/SignalR/SignalR/issues/3401
https://github.com/SignalR/SignalR/issues/3404
SQL Query Notifications do not always work in scaleout setup (SQL Server)
https://github.com/rebus-org/Rebus/issues/493
Rebus, exception when creating AppDomain / Instance from async Handler
but I think this is not the same case.
It is really hard for me to tell you what's going on here besides what you have already discovered: SignalR for some weird reason seems to want to serialize the values stashed in the current execution context, and one of those values is Rebus' current transaction context.
As explained in the links you included, Rebus stores an "ambient transaction" this way when handling a message, allowing all of its own operations to be enlisted in the same unit of work.
You could use the approach explained here, where the transaction context is temporarily removed in a safe way like this
public async Task Handle(SomeMessage message)
{
var transactionContext = AmbientTransactionContext.Current;
AmbientTransactionContext.Current = null;
try
{
JuggleWithAppDomainsInHere();
}
finally
{
AmbientTransactionContext.Current = transactionContext;
}
}
possibly moving relevant bits to the constructor/Dispose method respectively in a class that implements IDisposable, making for a smoother API:
using(new DismantleAmbientRebusStuff())
{
JuggleWithAppDomainsInHere();
}
I think someone who knows a lot about SignalR would need to chime in if we were to find out what really happened.
I forgot this issue, but I solved it by a workaround a little later on.
The clue is that SqlMessageBus serializes the context when it is initialized and this happens the first time it is retrieved invoking GetHubContext, so I forced its initialization before executing any command.
app.MapSignalR();
var context = new OwinContext(app.Properties);
var token = context.Get<CancellationToken>("host.OnAppDisposing");
if (token != CancellationToken.None)
{
token.Register(() =>
{
log.Info("host.OnAppDisposing");
// code to run when server shuts down
BackendMessageBusConfig.DisposeContainers();
});
}
// this code brings forward SignalR SqlMessageBus initialization
var forceInit = GlobalHost.ConnectionManager.GetHubContext<NotificationHub>();
BackendMessageBusConfig.Register();
Last 2 days I've been plagued on my azure websites app with following exception:
Exception information:
Exception type: ConfigurationErrorsException

It comes periodically each 5 minutes [or so], after app restart it goes ok for a while then it does again.
Is there a way how to debug what's causing the config file change? I have went through the whole code and have not found any reference for config file edition

It seems to be a global Azure issue, for more info take a look here

Any clues into fixing this would be much appreciated!!
Could be an environmental issue. Do you have same updates of .NET 2.0 applied on win 2003 and win 2008? Do you have any higher framework on win 2003?
Also, I found this article. The class that caused the exception is different but maybe it will help you or point you in right direction. Hope it helps.
