Why __construct method don't work in User Entity in FOSUserBundle? - symfony

I am using the FOSUserBundle.
This is the User Entity:

When I call getShop in the controller:

A result is null
Why does not __construct work in User class?
I expected to have 'shop' string as default

You can put a callback to iniatilize your User. Just two annotations #ORM\HasLifecycleCallbacks for the entity and #ORM\PostLoad for the method. For example:

Basically __construct in doctrine entity is called directly in end user code. Doctrine does not use construct when fetch entities from database - please check that question for more details. You can persist this in database by adding mapping if you want.

How to use separated password entity to prevent user from updating password with old used

I want to create a custom authentication system by separating passwords from user entity . each user can have more than a password and the latest one is used , and when user try to updated his password i want to prevent him to use an old password , as like as it is described in the link bellow .

For me is not a custom authentication system, you just need to change the body of the method getPassword. you will find below an example.

Get FosUser authenticated to persist into Easy Admin Entity ( USER LOG)

I have An entity Product Manged By EasyAdmin, i ALSO USE fos UserbUNDLE for user Management.
Everything works fine but when i add a new user in easyadmin i have a dropdown of user but i want to have automatically the authenticated user.
I have defined an one to Many relation between User and Product in an attribut of the class Product.

How to get it automatically?
Can we have more details ? Both entities and controller because i think your not using the good targetEntity
i had quite the same issue,i mean,in some cases i was needing to get ONLY THE CURRENT LOGGED USER INFO INSIDE MY SELECT, and sometimes i was needing to get the full list of users from the database
maybe the solution i found could help you:
Get the logged user info in the easyadmin select
to make it simple you have to override the easyadmin formbuilder and ask only the currently logged user info

Symfony2 Relationships using Interfaces results in duplicated table

I'm trying to relate an entity in one bundle with another in another bundle to make the second one independent from the first one, and be able to reuse it.
I'm following this documentation and this StackOverflows answer.
In the reusable bundle I have a Folder, File a that belongs to the folder and and interface like this:

To get this working, I have to explicitly change one of the Folder's Entities table:

Fixed the annotation in the FolderInterface
You can not make one entity extend another entity this way.
If you want to have an abstract class which contains the fields for two or more subclass entities, you should mark the abstract class as #ORM\MappedSuperclass , and make sure, it will not have the annotation #Entity. While on the subclasses , they each should have #Entity annotation , and #Table annotation with a unique name attribute.
Here is an example :

how to extend an entity from one bundle to another bundle

i have an already created symfony bundle. i wanted to add another bundle for my application separately. so now im facing a problem that how to extend an entity from old bundle to newly created one. i extended it normally but it giving errors.

Class "MySecondBundle:companies" seems not to be a managed Doctrine entity. Did you forget to map it?
You need to add the doctrine annotations for the second entity as well.

Of course, a user can have several collections, but a collection is only related to one user.

When I use the doctrine:generate:entities command, it does not generate the methods relative to $collections (get/add/remove), and even if I wrote it myself, it does not work.
getCollections() return NULL for example.
What am I missing in this code ?
