I'm working with Symfony2 and I emulate IE8 with VMWare.
I have a problem with the web debug toolbar and its display.
I don't know why the toolbar is not working good.
Maybe there'is some JS problem but I don't find anything. If I click on any item, I have the details page but there, I have a JS bug that's why I think about a JS bug for my toolbar.

My question is in the title...
I have a JSP page with a form. On Tomcat bundled with Netbeans IDE the CSS renders the form exactly as intended, however, when I deploy the WAR file to Tomcat on my production web server the CSS on the form Select element is missing and a standard dropdown box is displayed. All of the other form elements are rendered as intended.
I'm using the same web browser to view the form in both scenarios.
Anyone know what might be going on here?
Thanks
Its not rendered differently, since CSS its rendered in your browser. Open a Network monitor (Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+Q, IE: F12, ...) and see if your files are loaded correctly.
I made a lot of research on this topic but none of the found solutions helped me.
So, let's start: I have a VB ASP.NET WEB Application.
The problem is the users can see the source code of the aspx files in the browser (IE) when the Display intranet sites in Compatibility View is unchecked.
I tried all of the methods, settings compatibility from IIS, web.config or even from the meta tags from <head>.
I discovered that also with the checkbox unchecked if I use Enterprise Mode the browser displays the page ok.
I tried then to find a solution to force the Enterprise Mode from code but I didn't find anything without changing registry keys. Changing registry keys can also be done to the above checkbox.
If I go in the DOM Explorere in IE and I try editing the source, anything I delete from there, the page is displayed ok.
How can I force the Enterprise Mode, or the Compatility View Mode from code? or is there another solution for me to solve this problem?
In my opinion you need to check the caching of the application if you say that if you modify something in DOM the page appears.
How would you go about changing the appearance of a website say when demonstrating a website to a client without going directly into the css files and editing it.
For the purpose of an interactive styling session when as a customer we need little tweaks to the site as its in discussion.
I don't see a better way than using the Web Inspector or Chrome DevTools
Web Inspector
The Web Inspector gives you quick and easy access to the richest set
of development tools ever included in a browser. From viewing the
structure of a page to debugging JavaScript to optimizing performance,
the Web Inspector presents its tools in a clean window designed to
make developing web applications more efficient. To activate it,
choose Show Web Inspector from the Develop menu.
Safari Web Inspector - Styles
Common Browsers
Safari - Safari Web Inspector - Styles
Chrome - Chrome DevTools
Opera - Dragonfly
I am using the Web Inspector in desktop Safari (Version 6.0.2 (7536.26.17)) (under the Develop menu) to debug Mobile Safari's interaction with a web application in the iOS Simulator (Version 6.0 (358.4)).
At the moment, I would like to simply monitor HTTP requests; I am not interested in stepping through the javascript code. However, the Web Inspector keeps dropping into the debugger, even though no break points are set. I have to repeatedly click the "continue" button to get the entire page to load.
How can I tell the Web Inspector not to debug javascript?
The setting is there, I just overlooked it. In the Web Inspector in the pane on the left side, at the top, there are a bunch of icons. The second one from the right is a "breakpoint" icon. Click that. There are two entries at the top, "All Exceptions" and "All Uncaught Exceptions." I had "All Exceptions" enabled. Disabling that solved the problem.
ASP.NET control is working fine on development environment, but after going to production remote server it does not allow to click menu item link.
I've noticed, that the problem is only in IE (9). On Chrome and Fireworks it's working fine. It’s also OK in IE compatibility mode, but who would go for that… ;)
Normally I would do some changes in CSS, but on local machine with the same browser it is working just fine.
Should I be looking for new menu control or starting to write new one? What is Your opinion? Had similar problems?
Thanks in advance for Your help.
