When I run Malwarebytes on my laptop it reports that a file called Replace.exe in my Adobe Extension Manager CS6 folder is spyware and wants to remove it. Please can you advise me whether this is a legitimate Adobe file?
Thanks in anticipation,
Nick Drax
Strange. I just got the same flag. Read on malwarebytes forum that this is a false positive.

I've been using Atom for years on my Mac. I know it has been end-of-lifed by its dev team. I haven't installed anything new on it like plugins for many months. After the latest MacOS update, I get this popup when trying to open it:
Does anyone know if there is a way to tell if my copy has somehow become corrupted, or if this is a false positive?
Many thanks!
OK I found out that github revoked the Apple code signing certificate and is now enforcing that. I found the answer on the Atom blog. So, I was able to download an older version and it works well.
thanks for the info, i think it's the best time to find alternatives on text editors since Atom has been officially sunset (Sublime text?)
If you want the current installation to continue working:
$ xattr -cr /Applications/Atom.app
I'm not sure what the security risks of this are.
You might consider the Pulsar fork of the Atom project: https://pulsar-edit.dev/
I can't fully vouch for it because I'm just starting to use it, but it looks and feels the same to me.
My problem is little bit strange for me. I wrote a mediaPlayer program.
And I move the executable file to another directory in the same machine. Put the dlls beside the exe. It works fine. It can plays .mp4,.avi etc. But when i move the exe and dlls another machine it doesn't play mp4 files.
I tried compile both MinGW and VS2012 and result is same. Didn't find why.
Is there a advice for me ?
Thanks.
Install a default codec pack onto the end user's machine or convert the mp4 to a codec sponsored by windows.
Codec Pack Recommendation
It is hard to go wrong with K-lite Basic Codec Pack. Just be careful when downloading because the main download site is riddled with ads and false download buttons.
My preferred way to install something like this on my development machine is to use chocolatey. First install chocolatey then in your admin cmd, run:
choco install k-litecodecpackbasic
Video Conversion Tool Recommendation
Handbrake. Occasionally ffmpeg or libav might be better suited, but for most cases go with Handbrake.
If You Can't Install New Codecs...
On the end user's machine (missing admin privileges) or something else, then you probably need to use vlc's library for video playback if you need to support more than the minimum supported out of the box by Windows.
Hope that helps.
I am trying to save a simple HTML file in GitHub's Atom text editor, but I get the following error:
Unable to save file 'C:\Users\Alexander\Desktop\Looking good website\products.html'
EBUSY: resource busy or locked, open 'C:\Users\Alexander\Desktop\Looking good website\products.html'
This seems to be a known issue when I check the atom git repo. See here.
Now somehow even though there are multiple issues opened with the same problem on the atom git repo I don't see a solution.
How do I solve this error?
I am not sure how to replicate this issue but initially the file was saving fine, but now suddenly I have this problem and I don't see any obvious solution.

Can somebody help please?
Re-creation of error ::
Error in Atom :
What i see in process explorer::
For some reason Atom doesn't want to save files, that you have currently open in your Windows Explorer. At least that was the issue on my workspace.
I was able to solve this issue by closing all applications using the file. I was viewing a webpage locally, so I killed the browser and windows explorer then Atom let me save the file.
Hate to necro an old thread but I just ran into this myself and believe I have found the problem; the Preview Pane in Windows Explorer.
Either deselect the file in Explorer after opening or turn off the preview pane altogether.
Get Process Explorer from LINK and use Ctrl+F to find the process keeping the file open (see MS support link)
Then tell me what you see, and I'll expand the answer :)
My anti-virus (Bitdefender) thought atom.exe was an unsafe application so it kicked on Ransomware protection.
Hope this helps somebody
I’ve been having the same issue, and I found what was causing it for me.
I had Windows Defender Ransomware Protection enabled on my computer, and I was trying to save to a protected folder. Even though I had whitelisted the atom app, and didn’t receive the usual warning from Windows, it was preventing me from writing to the location. Disabled Ransomware protection, and suddenly Atom can save there again.
Not sure if you’re in the same boat, but maybe give it a try if you have Ransomware Protection enabled. Or maybe some other anti-virus with the same feature?
I just learned about the Intel XDK at Indiecade today, and I couldn't wait to get home to try a port of one of my Construct 2 games. The game ended up working perfectly, aside from the fact that it has no sound when played on my Galaxy S5. The Intel XDK Emulator plays the game with sound, but for some reason it doesn't work on my phone. My volume is all the way up. Are there any tips when importing C2 games with the Intel kit to make sure the sound is preserved?
One thing I might add is when I run the app, it gives me an error message as though I am trying to run it locally in my computer. The actual message:
Alert: Exported games won't work until you upload them. (When running on the file:/// protocol, browsers block many features from working for security reasons.)
And then it auto-jumps to:
Application Error: The connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)
... as a matter of fact it stopped working altogether after the two error messages while I was typing this question.
Edit: OK... so I exported it within the XDK as Crosswalk rather than simply Android, and the music now works. However, the first error message I mentioned before still shows up. I won't want this on all of my apps. Any way to get rid of it?
OK so this is what I did wrong: When I exported through Construct 2, I did what I always do and exported as a web app. What I should've done is export it as an Android app. I seriously don't know why I didn't try this first but after exporting as Android and then using the Intel XDK to port it with Crosswalk, everything is peachy.
I found my answer here: https://www.scirra.com/blog/133/introducing-crosswalk-the-new-way-to-publish-to-android
I'm glad you found the answer here; I knew there would be a way :)
Just wanted to chip in as a follow-up, there is a webinar tomorrow for a much more in-depth tour of the XDK and its features - including crosswalk - than I was able to provide at IndieCade. Let me know if it works out for you!
Thanks,
Brad

This happens if you export as a normal html5 and not as Cordova app.
I had the same problem. I'm calling other HTML offline and solved the problem with this post:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/xdk/docs/adding-third-party-plugins-to-your-xdk-cordova-app
How Do I Reference cordova.js Script from My Project index.html File
To enable the use of Cordova plugins in an HTML5+Cordova project type, reference the cordova.js script file exactly once in your index.html file:
If your project contains more than one HTML file (or page) that will use Cordova APIs, you must include a reference to the cordova.js script file in each of those HTML files. It is highly recommended that you limit yourself to building single-page apps (SPAs) when creating Cordova applications. See this Cordova Best Practices article for more details. Also, note that the cordova.js file is a "phantom" file; it is not present in your project directory, but is added by the Cordova build system when your application is built (it is customized for your app as part of the build process).
i am working in Selennium Webdriver2 with IE specific application. i know we can take the screenshots of the execution. similarly, Is there any option to record selenium execution as a video?
There is nothing in WebDriver.
Sauce uses http://www.ffmpeg.org/ to record video's. There are other options like https://code.google.com/p/java-remote-control/.
Generally the answer is that if you want to do it, you are going to have to implement it yourself.
This API helped me in solving the above problem, this is for your reference guys,
Selenium provides us with the feature to run the automation code/suite and record the output as a video and save it on your system. This video can then be shared with anyone who can see what the automation is doing. First of all, to enable video recording, we need to download some important jars. They are freely available to download from Google. Below are the jars to be downloaded. These are the latest version available, any other version can also be downloaded:
ATUReporter_Selenium_testNG_5.1.1 and ATUTestRecorder_2.1
Complete code can be found here:
