Even when I'm authed, I can't get favoriteCount for my own videos. It shows as zero (even though I can see private details like keywords)
It seems broken. Is there any way to get total favorite counts for my own videos?
This data is no longer available for either public requests or requests authenticated as the owner of the video. Sorry to disappoint, but it's working as intended.

I am trying to collect some data for a pet study. I would be collecting some metadata on the video suggestions based on a search. I was wondering if it is possible to do the following using the Youtube API(python or R) :
Input a search keyword and get the results
Choose one of the videos randomly and see the list of video suggestions.
Choose one of the suggested videos randomly.
Repeat this "n" times.
Is there a way to emulate this entire process? I think web-scraping can be an option but I am not really sure, how I would go about it. So if there are nay pointers that would be amazing and get me started.
Also, Is it possible to have no history, as in an option to erase all the cookies for the previous attempt(Steps 1 through 4) and start afresh? (More like an option to have this in Incognito Mode)

AFAIK Google tracks the computer you are using in such a way that you can't escape their filter bubble. Even through Tor, YouTube might prefer some content related to the exit node IP location (and so language) or any previous YouTube search done by you (through this exit node) or another user of the end node or any computer using the same IP as the exit node...
The YouTube Data API v3 has a possibility to retrieve suggestions thanks to part=suggestions with Videos: list by authenticating with OAuth (so results might not be neutral). You can get the initial videos thanks to Search: list thanks to q filter. Web-scraping is also doable to be less tracked, my open-source YouTube operational API is able to web-scrape search results for instance.
Note that a French person claims having achieved to have done such a neutral French YouTube suggestions graph.

I don't have a final solution, just a workaround.
We've been seeing the same issue with our own app for the past few days and we've started seeing reports of people encountering this with all kinds of apps, including even Microsoft's own AppInstaller. It seems to be a server-side rate-limiting/caching issue at Microsoft as changing anything in the URL fixes the problem temporarily -- only to get back to the same issue a few hours later. We also found that VPN-ing to some locations (mostly to the US) helped as well, and this throttling seems to be specific to an app & an availability region (when it got blocked, it blocked across all Europe, but not in US for example). It seems to come & go as we have not seen a big drop in new install counts.
As a temporary solution we ended up adding a random string to the end of the URL. We used GCLID as we found it to be the least offensive way -- it could just as well be a legitimate tracking ID we pass over. So now the URL we link to looks like this:

Where the "f-xxxx" value is generated using the md5() of the timestamp -- but it could be any ever-changing value, even a random number.

I work on apps.microsoft.com. I can confirm that there was an issue on our end that appeared on August 23. This issue has been resolved.

I use Google Analytics Enhanced E-commerce for some shops. On catalog page I have many products and I need to track their impressions. I do not track each product one-by-one, cause it will cause many requests, instead I add all of them through .ec:addImpression and then track entire pack by sending single pageview.
And everything was going well until I faced a problem, that on page with too many products requests to collect stopped working with no error. I've installed analytics debugger for Chrome and found out, that I've exceeded a payload limit, which is set to 8 KB (according to official documentation):
payload_data – The BODY of the post request. The body must include
exactly 1 URI encoded payload and must be no longer than 8192 bytes.
And this is fine, but here's my question: is there any way to overcome this restriction? Maybe some option or method, that will allow not to bother about payload size and it will be automatically split into proper chunks? Or at least a method to get a payload in run-time to check its size. I run through documentation and found nothing.
Note: currently I manually track a "safe" number (which was discovered by experience) of products added by addImpression and then send them by non-interaction pageview hit. Of course, this solves my problem, by I want to know if there's a built-in solution.
Another possibility is to send only true impressions, that is, only for those products/items that the user is actually seeing above the fold. Not all products that you are sending impressions for are actually seen by the user until they scroll down the page below the fold. So this would require a modification to the implementation where you send your impression data as the user scrolls down the page and reveals more products. You can likely send more information with each product and still not exceed the payload, and you get a more accurate measure of your impressions.
Create a product data import that matches your product ids to product to product attributes (name, category, price etc). Wait until the data is processed, then change your tracking code so that only product ids are sent.
That should shrink down the request body enough to send all products, and the ids will be joined with the imported data when the incoming hits are processed.
Imported data is not applied retroactively, so it'S important that you do the data import first.
AFAIK there is no way to get your payload size from google analytics and it's a crying shame that analytics.js does not handle this issue automatically since the analytics.js library which constructs the payloads is best suited to handle this and thus minimise load on Google's servers...
I like Eike's solution, though if your products change a lot it might require automation. As #nyuen implies - sending only real impressions may help and is more accurate.
Another trick is to send the impression one at a time. (As shown or on page load) This will require the smallest change and reduce the payload to well bellow the limit.
We have site search set up on our site, with the correct query parameter, however, we are not seeing site search data. See the image here for how our config is set up.

We know there has been search traffic. Internal users (myself included) have performed a number of searches. The tag has been live for over a week, so processing delay shouldn't be an issue.
I've also triple checked that I'm on the correct view in GA.
Any ideas?
So it turns out that GA favors the document path (dp) parameter over the document location (dl) parameter. So although the search term was in the payload sent to GA, it was promptly ignored when it got there :)
Moral, if you use dp, you probably need to use dq as well.

Questions
When sending an AppRequest, my friends list that comes up on iOS always has 48 users in it even when I have 300+ friends. Is there a way to change this limit for high-end devices that have plenty of memory?
How does FB decide which 48 friends to show in the AppRequest dialog? It doesn't appear to be my first 48 friends alphabetically
The "Title" parameter of the AppRequest call doesn't get used. Even in the InteractiveConsole, I set the title to "Invite Friends" and the title always says "App Requests". Is this just broken or am I confused?
Edit: I know there is a maxRecipients param but my understanding is that only determines how many total can be SENT at once, not how many friends display. I have the maxRecipients set at 500 and it still only shows 48 friends in the list.

Right now there's no way to change the number of users who come up in that selector. They're chosen according to Facebook's estimate of how likely they are to be interested in, and interact with, an apprequest.
I believe that the issue with the title may be a bug. I'm investigating that now; could you please file a bug in the FB developer bug tool, and post the URL here, to help with that?
