I have to execute (safely) a lot of R scripts from a Symfony2 controller.
I organized in my AcmeStatsBundle a folder named RScripts. There, a lot of R script files are stored, e.g. Test.R
To execute the script in the Test.R file, I should write in my secured action something like:
$rootdir = ...//get the path to the src folder.
exec("Rscript $rootdir/Acme/StatsBundle/RScripts/Test.R");
Which is the command to use to get the right value for $rootdir? Maybe I'm wrong and I should deploy the scripts in the app folder.
Where should I put the generated output (e.g. images), in the web folder?
Should be :
$rootdir = $this->get('kernel')->getRootDir() . '\..\src'
(what's those '\' is that some windows thing ?)

I am trying to add my R script into a dockerfile. The beginning of the file (loading base image, installing necessary packages) works fine when I run it in my terminal, but I keep getting this error when it gets to the line that contains the R script I want to run:
Step 15/17 : COPY /Users/emma/Documents/folder1/examples/question-1/model-1.r .
COPY failed: stat /var/lib/docker/tmp/docker-builder376572603/Users/emma/Documents/folder1/examples/question-1/model-1.r: no such file or directory
I am already running the terminal out of the "question-1" directory (my shell command looks like this) :
Emmas-MacBook-Air-2:question-1 emma$
and the R script file "model-1.r" is in that folder. What am I doing wrong in detailing the path to the R script? Do I have to somehow transform the script before adding it to the dockerfile?

I believe, that you have to specify relative (to your build folder) path to copy from. Source:
Multiple resources may be specified but the paths of files and directories will be interpreted as relative to the source of the context of the build.
And file to copy should be inside context of the build. So if your Dockerfile is located in folder A, then the objects you would like to copy should be placed in the folder A or it's subfolders.

I apologize for my ignorance on this matter, I am new in the world of programming and meteor. about my case. 1. I have a folder on Desk called “Findme” where I have the structure of my project (the code and everything which forms the application which works) 2. Then through the console I access that directory findme and then run the command meteor build/Desktop/MyApp --server = https: //findme.com, and start downloading. 3. But inside the console I also get the message indicated before and when it is finished, and I check the folder MyApp, it is empty. 4. And when I check the Findme folder it has created a folder named ~ and inside displays a file called Desktop/MyApp but it also doesn’t have any useful files, only winrar and nothing useful. 5. I am trying to generate the apk, could you please let me know what I might be doing wrong? Is there another way to generate the apk? I would appreciate it if you could help me!
Your should specify a path for where to build your application that is outside of your project directory.
Otherwise this can lead to problems with Meteor's file watcher and as your error already pointed out:
your generated files may get interpreted as source code consider
building into a different directory instead
So if your command uses a relative path, as used in meteor build ../output then it is important to call this command at the most upper project folder.
Consider the following project structure:
/myapp
/client
/import
/server
If you call meteor build ../output from within /myapp it will generate the output folder as expected outside of the project:
/output
/myapp
/client
/import
/server
However if you call it from within a subfolder, say /myapp/imports it may generate the output within the project like so:
/myapp
/client
/import
/output
/server
So keep this in mind when building your app.

I am using Robot Framework, to run 50 Testcases. Everytime its creating following three files as expected:
c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\output.xml
c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\log.html
c:\users\<user>\appdata\local\report.html
But when I run same robot file, these files will be removed and New log files will be created.
I want to keep all previous run logs to refer in future. Log files should be saved in a folder with a time-stamp value in that.
NOTE: I am running robot file from command prompt (pybot test.robot). NOT from RIDE.
Could any one guide me on this?
Using the built-in features of robot
The robot framework user guide has a section titled Timestamping output files which describes how to do this.
From the documentation:
All output files listed in this section can be automatically timestamped with the option --timestampoutputs (-T). When this option is used, a timestamp in the format YYYYMMDD-hhmmss is placed between the extension and the base name of each file. The example below would, for example, create such output files as output-20080604-163225.xml and mylog-20080604-163225.html:
robot --timestampoutputs --log mylog.html --report NONE tests.robot
To specify a folder, this too is documented in the user guide, in the section Output Directory, under Different Output Files:
...The default output directory is the directory where the execution is started from, but it can be altered with the --outputdir (-d) option. The path set with this option is, again, relative to the execution directory, but can naturally be given also as an absolute path...
Using a helper script
You can write a script (in python, bash, powershell, etc) that performs two duties:
launches pybot with all the options you wan
renames the output files
You then just use this helper script instead of calling pybot directly.
I'm having trouble working out how to create a timestamped directory at the end of the execution. This is my script it timestamps the files, but I don't really want that, just the default file names inside a timestamped directory after each execution?

You may use the directory creation for output files using the timestamp, like I explain in RIDE FAQ

User can update the default output folder of the robot framework in the pycharm IDE by updating the value for the key "OutputDir" in the Settings.py file present in the folder mentioned below.

I'm converting a premake4 config to premake5. My prebuildcommands are failing because the commands are executed from the root working directory, not the directory that the premake5.lua is in that contains the 'prebuildcommands'. premake4 executed them in the subdirectory containing the prebuildcommands call.
Is this the new intended behavior? If so, it's not documented anywhere that I can find. I don't mind correcting the paths as long as it's not an bug.
This looks like the correct behavior to me. Premake doesn't attempt to parse the commands to identify paths, so they are left intact as entered. The command itself is executed by the build tool (Visual Studio, GMake, etc.) and so will operate in whatever directory the tool makes current at that time.
If I'm reading it right, you would like the command to execute in the project directory, so what about:
prebuildcommands {
"%{prj.location}/styx/utils/ndate > %{prj.location}/include/kerndate.h"
}
For Visual Studio, Premake will convert those tokens to $(ProjectDir) so they will stay relative to the generated project file.
I have a spring batch program which I am calling from unix script as below:
java -DLOG_DIR=$LOG_DIR -Dlog4j.configuration=file://$CONFIG_DIR/myLog4j.log4j.properties -classpath $CLASSPATH org.springframework.batch.core.launch.support.CommandLineJobRunner job_config.xml myJob dataDirPath=$DATA_DIR/ pdfName=one.pdf
Where job_config.xml is the spring batch configuration file and myJob is the job which should run.
dataDirPath and pdfName are the two parameters passed to the job.
Now I have a directory on my unix server which contains some sub directories as well.
The base directory along with the sub directories contains pdf files along with files of other types.
I want to write a script which calls above mentioned job for all the pdfs in the base directory as well as the sub directories.
How can I achieve this in unix ?
You can do it in two ways.
You need to change your batch job myJob to retrieve all pdf files from the base directory including your subdirectory using java.
Another option would be find all the pdf files under the base directory including the sub directory using unix
find . -name "*.pdf"
get the output may be as comma seperated and give this comma seperated string as a parameter to your batch job, and your myJob should be modified to read the new parameter and process it
