I am installing user interface update for SDL Tridion 2011SP1.When I make below entry in the
cd_storage_conf.xml file
<Wrapper Name="SessionWrapper">

Please help me in this regard as soon as possible.
As the message states, you're missing some jars somewhere. For a complete picture of what's needed for each CD role, you can read the CD JAR file reference on LiveContent.
Are you sure you have the correct JRE installed? If you are using a 64bit deployer website you will need to install the 64bit JRE as well...
Alternatively you might have accidentally left the AppPool of the deployer website on 32bits (which would essentially give you the same issue as you would now need a 32bit JRE).

I modified the file
domain.xml
In
C:\Program Files\glassfish-3.1.2.2\glassfish\domains\domain1
And removed the application tags of xml and application-ref tags too for those projects mentioned above.
And i deleted the projects folder when i searched inside the glassfish folder
in
--> domains folder --> applications folder
To make it as i never deployed any personal project with it.
This way you are undeploying the applications on server without starting it that what was causing the error
I have encountered the same problem under Glassfish 4.1 after having migrated from Netbeans 8.2 to IntelliJ Idea.
To solve this problem I have only deleted application tags in domain.xml file.
I have deleted lines commented in following code
<applications>

For me, DOMAIN.XML file is located in another location. To find it, I have searched to DOMAIN.XML files in c:\Glassfish.4.1\glassfish\domains folder.
I have deleted the 2 existing "/tlga" domains. Removing only one doesn't resolve my issue.
Explanation of how this error occurs:
These 2 <application> tags has been automatically generated by IntelliJ IDEA ULTIMATE 2018.2 !!! The first time I have deployed tlga-1.17.3, I don't have encountered any problem.
But this version was PRODUCTION version!
I have then switched GIT environment from PRODUCTION to DEVELOPMENT. I have build new release and started application again.
I suppose that IntelliJ has added a second <application> tag in domain.xml file and started again Glassfish that has refused to start !
I persist with every error I get thrown and mostly always work out the solution. I find a good walk helps. But this one has me stumped, I've been staring at this same error all day. Like Ticcie in Invalid Oracle URL specified: OracleDataSource.makeURL suggests, the error message does nothing to help understand what is wrong.

I am doing Arquillian Integration Testing for a Java EE 7 EAR application. Its been going well using JPA and the DerbyDb but I now need to test Native Oracle DB (11g) SQL. So I've setup a new testing project to connect to an OracleDB using EclipseLink.
I CAN connect to the database through the Eclipse IDE DataSource explorer and ping it no problems.
I DO connect to a sister Oracle database in Glassfish standalone and ping it no problems.
But the Arquillian Test cannot connect to it with the above ambiguous error. It would be nice if the error said what exactly is the problem.
I use exactly the same URL as I have with the Eclipse IDE DataSource explorer:
jdbc:oracle:thin:#marina.work.com:1521:orcl
The Arquillian setup is the same as I did for DerbyDb (pretty-much same as http://arquillian.org/guides/testing_java_persistence/) with these variations for OracleDB:

I've introduced XML well-formedness errors such as text in the properties element and receive the following error. This shows that this file is being picked up for the correct purposes:
java.io.IOException: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 21; columnNumber: 16; Deployment descriptor file META-INF/persistence.xml in archive [test.jar]. cvc-complex-type.2.3: Element 'properties' cannot have character [children], because the ...
I've tried different property names but none change the error message. Which makes me think that the URL property isn't being picked up at all.
I've tried different variations of the URL (with matching mods for name and password):
javax.persistence.jdbc.url URL Url (three variations)
eclipselink.jdbc.url URL Url (three variations)
No variation works. Same error.
It would be really nice if the exception can be more specific about what it can and cannot find.
My question is, can anyone tell me the solution or suggest what's wrong or something I can try and work out what is going wrong?
UPDATE
I've posted this question on the Oracle forums and included the entire stack trace and the sample minimal code plus some instructions. If anyone is keen to look at it I'd be grateful.

driver type is not provided, for my case, I used "thin" xaProperties.driverType="thin", please find similar config for your case.
I am trying to establish new SDL Tridion UI 2012 functionality on some test (default) pages. I am continuously retrieve "The preview for this page is not up to date" alert despite the fact that I click on "Update preview" several time. I was using virtual image, so anyone else is not possible to edit page except myself. No matters which component changed. I have taken a look into cd_core.log file on "session preview" web service side and find these nodes interesting:
INFO WritableODataClaimProcessor - No session wrapper is installed, not allowing modification operations
DEBUG HandleSessionContentUtil - There are no session wrappers into storage config file!
DEBUG HandleSessionContentUtil - There are no session wrappers into storage config file!
DEBUG WebContext - setCurrentClaimStore: com.tridion.siteedit.preview.PreviewClaimStore#dc60af, thread: Thread-59
DEBUG WritableODataClaimProcessor - Removing sessionId claim from ClaimStore!
DEBUG ClaimStore - remove: uri=taf:claim:contentdelivery:webservice:preview:sessionid
DEBUG WebContext - setCurrentClaimStore: null, thread: Thread-59
The most interesting part is that session wrappers were added to cd_storage_conf.xml on "session preview" web service side. Bellow is part of "session preview" cd_storage_conf.xml:
<Storages>
<Wrappers>
<Wrapper Name="SessionWrapper">

</DataSource>
</Storage>
</Wrapper>

I have check cd_storage_conf.xml validity state and everything is OK (try to open XML via IE and it is showed correctly).
When I republish the page (Finish Editing) everything is correct state after reload the page until the first change on any components is made. This unexpected state gave me such a strong pain and headache, furthermore create me a so nervous... :).
Here's what Update Preview does, make sure all the steps up to the actual page refresh work and are correctly configured and you should be good to do:
Render your template(s) in Preview Mode
Post the results to the Content Delivery Web Service
CD Web Service writes to Session Wrapper Database
Refresh the page
Ambient Framework filters (or HTTP Modules for .NET) check for a session token
DB is queried searching for content with the same session token
If content is found, it is merged with the content on the page.
Typical issues (in my experience so far) are around Ambient Framework Configuration - Either the modules are not installed/configured on your application, or the cd_ambient_conf.xml contains invalid configuration settings.
Might be worth tracing the logs from step 1 to figure out where it's failing - knowing where it fails is usually 80% of the solution.
I'm attempting to compile a Flex application from an ANT script, inside of Eclipse (CFBuilder, based on Eclipse), and I've run into this error:
Could not load definitions from resource flexTasks.tasks. It could not be found.
I haven't been able to find anything that gives directions on where this file (flexTasks.tasks) should be copied to, if it's needed at all. Some places indicate that it should be part of the flexTasks.jar file. I've tried two different things:
Copy the jar file into the ant/plugins/lib folder (and restart my CF Builder instance)
Specify the path to the jar in the classpath attribute, as suggested by the comment on this page
Neither helps me get past this error.
Here's my build script, for reference:
<project name="Tagging" default="compile-tagging" basedir=".">
<!-- setup flex compilation capability -->
<taskdef resource="flexTasks.tasks" />
<property name="flex.src" value="./src" />
<property name="flex.bin" value="./bin"/>
<target name="compile-tagging">
<mxmlc
file="${flex.src}/main.mxml"
output="${flex.bin}/main.swf"
keep-generated-actionscript="true">
<source-path path-element="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks" />
</mxmlc>
</target>
</project>
Adam, I believe you need to tell taskdef where to look for the file. try keeping flextasks.jar in the same directory as your ant file (for now... you can move it later after you get it working).
then, you can do something like this:
<taskdef name="mxmlc" classname="WhateverTheTaskIsNamed" classpath="flexTAsks.jar" />
While not ideal, this code is working for me at the moment:
<project name="IOLTagging" default="go" basedir=".">
<!-- setup flex compilation capability -->
<property name="FLEX_HOME" value="C:/program files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Flash Builder Beta 2/sdks/3.4.1/" />
<taskdef name="mxmlc" classname="flex.ant.MxmlcTask" classpath="${FLEX_HOME}/ant/lib/flexTasks.jar" />
<taskdef name="html-wrapper" classname="flex.ant.HtmlWrapperTask" classpath="${FLEX_HOME}/ant/lib/flexTasks.jar" />
<property name="flex.src" value="./src" />
<property name="flex.bin" value="./bin"/>
<property name="swf.name" value="main" />
<target name="go" depends="compile-flex" />
<target name="compile-flex">
<mxmlc
file="${flex.src}/main.mxml"
output="${flex.bin}/${swf.name}.swf"
debug="false"
keep-generated-actionscript="false">
<source-path path-element="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks" />
<compiler.library-path dir="${basedir}/libs" append="true">
<include name="*.swc" />
</compiler.library-path>
</mxmlc>
</target>
</project>
I had the same problem, and the reason was in lack of permissions to acces $FLEX_HOME/ant.
You can also put the flexTasks.jar in ~/.ant/lib directory
If you run ant -diagnostics you should see the jar in USER_HOME/.ant/lib jar listing
I think you should have solved this problem. just trying flexmonkey today and also got the same problem.
"Could not load definitions from resource flexTasks.tasks. It could not be found."
solution is to make sure the flexTasks.jar is included in the dir lib of your project workplace.
when I copied flexTasks.jar from flashbuild folder \ant\lib and built it again. the problem is fixed.
