I create an index.htm page, then export it via webdav to disk. It
creates index.html.xml and __properties/index.html.xml.properties.
Thats ok.
Delete index.html from OpenCms and publish.
Try to import previously exported files via webdav and...
Error 409 conflict when importing __properties/index.html.xml
I tried with 3 different webdav clients, including the Eclipse plugin for webdav.
Also tried with OpenCms 7.5.4 and 8.5.0

Afer that restart your server.
We do regular exports from OpenCms of the modules to keep the whole package (files and properties) in order to keep the solution under control version (SVN). You can create a module with a resource pointing to sites/default to do that. But it's critical to select root site before doing any import/export of that module (if you dont you can break your ocms installation).
Since some months, I'm using the Linux FUSE driver (gentoo's davfs 1.4.7) to mount OpenCms resources. I was quite irritated with the lot of LOG CmsVfsResourceNotFoundException errors, so I ended up removing the __properties dirs from the exported Repository.
If you don't need these __properties files, I'll recommend you to ignore that error and remove the files from the repository as per the instructions in the link.
The corresponding fstab entry:

I have never had Eclipse with webdav up and running, but I successfully use OpenCms 7.5 and 8 daily with webdav:// and webdavs:// from KDE's Kate editor. Maybe give it a try.

I'm trying to deploy an ASP.NET web application to Azure. It's hybrid Web Forms, MVC, and WebAPI, and there are a TON of aspx/ascx files, such that they really need to be precompiled or every deploy will render the site sluggish for awhile.
I am trying to deploy via SCM integration with GitHub via kudu, with precompiled views, all merged to a single assembly.
Note that:
Deploy works fine with precompilation disabled.
Deploy works fine from Visual Studio
Build works fine if I copy the msbuild command from the Azure log, replace the relevant paths, and run it locally on my Windows 8.1 machine.
I've set up the Advanced Precompile settings as:
Don't allow precompiled site to be udpatable
Don't emit debug information
Merge all pages and control outputs to a single assembly = AppViews.dll

It looks like aspnet_compiler.exe runs, but doesn't do what it's supposed to, which is why the TempBuildDir directory (supposed to be the output of the compiler) does not exist in time for the AspNetMerge target. Contrast that with my system, where that directory DOES in fact exist, containing the marker aspx/ascx/etc. files, static content, a PrecompiledApp.config file, and a whole mess of stuff in the bin directory.
aspnet_compiler.exe has an -errorstack flag but it's not clear to me how I could get MSBuild to add this just via the .deployment file, or even if that app is really even throwing an error.
I could just deploy via Visual Studio, but I would really like to take advantage of the SCM integration so I can just push to my prod branch and let it go. Any suggestions?

Way back, we had found that aspnet_compiler.exe was not working within Azure Websites due to how it dealt with the profile folder. We made a change at the time that's a bit of a hack but got us going: we turned it into a no-op, by pointing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\aspnet_compiler.exe to our own dummy exe (D:\Program Files (x86)\aspnet_compiler\KuduAspNetCompiler.exe).
But trying it now, it appears to work correctly today, likely thanks to improvements in the Azure Websites hosting environment. So we will try getting rid of this hack and doing a full test pass to make sure it doesn't cause any major regressions. If all goes well, we can get that into production, which should enable those scenarios.
In the short term, you may be able to work around this by having your build script:
copy aspnet_compiler.exe from D:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 into your own site files, but under a different name (e.g. aspnet_compiler2.exe)
convince msbuild to use that one
Note: This GitHub issue on projectkudu will eventually make this solution obsolete, but for the meantime, that issue is filed as Backlog, and this works right now.
Thank you thank you David Ebbo. With this information, I was able to bootstrap my build to work for the short term.
First, I downloaded the aspnet_compiler.exe from the Azure instance using the Diagnostic Console available at https://{WEBSITE_NAME}.scm.azurewebsites.net/DebugConsole and added that to my own repository. This way there's no question about any difference between 32/64-bit, etc. I renamed it to azure_aspnet_compiler.exe in my repository.
Second, the AspNetCompiler task doesn't give you the option to change the tool name. It's hardcoded, but as a virtual property so it's overrideable. So I had to create my own task class, and package it in its own assembly, which I built in Release mode and also included in my repository.

Next I needed to replace the AspNetPreCompile task in MSBuild, but I couldn't figure out how to do that directly. But that task wasn't doing anything anyway, so why not just run right after it?
I added this to the top of my Website.csproj file to import the DLL containing the AzureAspNetCompiler class. Note that the path is relative to the Website.csproj file I'm editing.

Nakul, I was responding your other post facing exception while deploying liferay on weblogic. Sorry I misunderstood your last comment on that post, as I used LifeRay 6.x, not 5.x.
How about we disable the minification for the runtime so that you do not need to use the liferay-yuicompressor.jar.
You can add the below to portal-ext.properties
javascript.fast.load=false
theme.css.fast.load=false
If you still prefer to do minification for performance reason, you can do it during the build time as described here: http://yui.github.com/yuicompressor/. Between runtime and build time minification, I always prefer build time.

I've got very simple .WAR containing example servlet. I'm able to deploy it in servicemix using the following command:

And then see it in my browser. But only with full path to a file, e.g.: localhost:8080/TestServlet/index.html or localhost:8080/TestServlet/TestServlet (my servlet is TestServlet class).
I'd like to launch the index.html page automatically after entering: localhost:8080/TestServlet
how to do it?

I need a way to convert the .WAR file or servlet project (I've got the sources) so that new .WAR file can be auto-deployed by copying it to $SERVICEMIX_HOME/deploy directory.

The problem was that for some reason "Bundle-Version: 1.0" line was required as opposed to optional as stated on that page.
Honestly, just adding the Bundle-Version fix-it.

two potential problems, the home on the server is not the path you think. Print home to screen to see what is there. Second, always, always use small letters. Too many problems arise when you write myApp, MyApp or Myapp. just write myapp, and do not worry again
Edit: wait a second, your services path is wrong. I assume it is under New Folder. Your amf directories should change to amf.directories[]=./services
Remember that Unix is case sensitive, and Windows doesn't so check the case, your file should be named testService.php, or TestService.php.

Is there a way to configure the SDK to get these files, or an issue with the configuration of my application?
I found I only had this problem when I using: -use-network=false, and I was attempting to run the html locally and the .swf was accessing locally files (outside the flex security free folders).
My workaround is to update sdks//frameworks/flex-config.xml (in the Flash Builder directory), and swap the order runtime shared paths: for example:

I think the problem is that the location it is using for the textLayout swc
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/swz/tlf/1.1.0.604/textLayout_1.1.0.604.swz
redirects to

and the cross domains policy is not happy about that.
I think this points to an issue with the version of the sdk that you are using. You can go into sdks/<FRAMEWORK_VERSION>/frameworks/flex-config.xml (in the Flash Builder directory) and see exactly how the runtime shared library path is configured for textLayout.swc. This is what I have for flex_sdk_4.1.0.15186:

I suggest try switching to the latest 4.1 sdk and recompiling.
Hmmmm - generally this is because the site you are accessing does not contain a crossdomain.xml file. However I can download it from here.
Try adding this to your compiler options: -use-network=false
Then clean and force build your app.
If that doesn't work, and just grasping for straws, but have you tried to manually download it and place it in your project lib space?
Also, are you sure you are updated to Flex 4.1?
I just checked my local KB (evernote) and mentioned that FireFox sometimes has an issue with caching, and that restarting FF solved it once for me.
