How to make Flex Air FileSystemTree to show in Package view - apache-flex

I am using Flex FileSystemTree.
Inside my root folder I got one folder with 3 files in it.
In order to brows to my files using FileSystemTree, I need to open my root folder, to open my inner folder and only then I get the files.
I wish that if the the folder got no files it will present as package, just like in eclipse. so I only need to open one folder(root.innerfolder)
I hope my question is clear, please tell me if not.

Atom Editor - Open File and treeview works not as expected

I am using ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Atom Editor 1.5.3
If I and click on Open File I want that the dialog window shows the directory of the current file I am working on. However, it always shows the directory Recently Used and I have to click through the folders to get to my project folder. Where can I change this so that the dialog window starts in my project folder?
Also I noticed that the treeview doesnt change if I work on a specific file. So if I have two projects folders called Project 1 and Project 2 and I start with a file from folder Project 1 then I see the treeview of this folder. However, if I open a file from Project 2 and work on this file, the treeview of folder Project 1 remains. How can I make that the treeview always corresponds to the current file I am working on?
As for the first part of your question, this is a bug in atom for the linux version. Someone has suggested a patch but it seems it has not been accepted yet in the main atom version, even if it seems to work (see the discussion). The two commits are here, if you want to try something with them (what would imply something like recompiling atom yourself of course...).
About the second part of the question: I don't think it's possible to let atom switch automatically from a project to another when clicking on a file. But you can use the project manager package, what will allow you to define projects, and to set a root directory for each project and then switch from a project to another manually. The treeview will then fit with the current project.

Opening a chm file containing merged files in a Qt application

In my Qt application we can open a help file (chm) by doing the following:
QDesktopServices::openUrl(QUrl::fromLocalFile(_PathToTheCHMFile));
This seems to be the suggested way of doing things. And it has worked up until now.
However, the documentation team has now changed how the chm files work. Now we are referencing a "master" file which only contains references to other chm files. The directory structure of the chm files is as follows:
master.chm
SUBDIR/
-> child1.chm
-> child2.chm
...
If open the master.chm file with hh.exe (the default tool in windows), everything looks perfect. However, from my Qt application, the help file opens, but there are no sub topics, just the root node.
I assume this is a search path issue, and it can't resolve the relative paths. There doesn't seem to be any way to configure the openURL call to run from a certain directory, or anything like that.
Thanks in advance
If you need to be able to access those elements properly, then you may need to change your applications current directory on the fly.
http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qdir.html#details
http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qdir.html#setCurrent
If that doesn't work, you may want to look into using QProcess::startDetached
http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qprocess.html#startDetached
and specifying the working directory to be exactly where your master.chm is located.
You may want to specify some command-line arguments, too.

Hope that helps.

Directory not published

I have a little problem and I don't find any solutions.
In my asp.net web application, I have a directory in the solution with some xls files.
When I make a publication, I hoped that the directory is in the source files rendered. But the directory isn't there and I have to copy/paste it manually.
The problem is that I forget to do it regularly. Can I tell to visual studio to add this directory to the sources?
Thanks for help.
Right click on the files in Solution Explorer and select Properties. Then in the Properties grid, set the build action to Content. This will copy the files to the build output.

Is it possible to create in Aptana a Project with a different name to the containing folder?

I've been importing a number of project folders into Apatana 3 and some of them are stored on disk in folders with identical names. It's not really easy for me to change the names of the folders themselves, as they are the same project on different servers (one is a local copy, the other a copy on a development server).
I tried importing the folder as a project and setting the name of the project to FOLDERNAME - local or FOLDERNAME - dev (depending on the location) but all that seems to do is create a new folder with the project name, rather than importing the specified project!
Is this normal behaviour and is there a way around it?
After a bit of fiddling I managed to find a solution, hopefully this will help anyone who comes across the same issue:
When the Aptana workspace is set to the parent directory of a project, Aptana renames the project folder to match the project's name. By setting the workspace to a different folder the project can be renamed without altering the folder name on disk.
I'm not entirely sure why Aptana does this, but changing the workspace does seem to solve the issue.
You should just be able to import the project, right-click on it and rename it. The project name does not have to match the folder name. It may be how you are importing them...please follow the steps here: https://wiki.appcelerator.org/display/tis/Importing+an+Existing+Project

create .project file for flex application

I want to add my flex project to a SCM like Clearcase and then allow other developers download it and use in FlexBuilder.
What foramt do i need to place it in my clearcase so users can simply download and import into Flex Builder? Is there some way to create a .project file or similiar to allow Flex Recognise the project in clearcase?
I do not know Flex Builder project config files (I do know very well ClearCase though), but this question looks like "Do you keep your project files under version control ?" or "Which eclipse files belong under Version Control"
In essence, you should put any config file in ClearCase as long as you have relative path and/or variable for the other users to interpret.
A snapshot or dynamic ClearCase view will simply present those files for them to use, whatever they are. For instance, some eclipse .project or .classpath can be stored that way, while using linked directories.
So for Flex Builder project, one way to determine what file to store is to copy a minimal subset of those files in a new directory and check if you can re-open your project successfully.
Once the minimal set of file is determined, you can "add to source control" them.
