Hello folks when someone login to gmail account and in another tab he open google.
Then you must have seen gmail username displays at the top right corner of the google.
I want the same functionality into my asp.net website. I have searched a lot but could not find any answer. please help if anybody have any idea about it.
If you want to retrieve the user's details of currently logged in google user, then use OpenAuth/OpenID. For .Net, a library is available to do all this task, DotNetOpenAuth. It also contains exact sample of what you want to achieve. Also look here.

Sorry for this rather basic question, but we have the "social-media-auto-publish" plugin installed on our village website, and it was publishing to Facebook absolutely fine a while back. But then some new procedures on Facebooks end came into play, and it doesn't appear that the posting is working anymore. I have asked Facebook, but they simply said that they cannot help, and I should ask here instead.
When I try to connect the app, I get the below message back
Invalid Scopes: pages_read_engagement, pages_manage_posts. This
message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore
these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid
permissions at:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions
Now, we are a village (not a business) but am I right in thinking that only a business has access to these capabilities now? Or is 'Business Verification' actually a much more open thing for non-businesses to use?
Thanks for any advice you can give,
Dan
i am currently working on an autoposter app to publish content on my own fanpages. This is the only function the app is going to be used for. My personal profile will be the only user of the app.
I have read through the documentation for developers but I still have trouble figuring this out.
From what I understand I don't have to submit the app for review to facebook if I only need the manage_pages right.
How does this work for an app that will only be used by me? Do I still have to submit it to facebook to be able to use the manage_pages and publish_pages permission? Or is there a way around that?
From an official account main menu view I can provide a URL and it will open in the built in WeChat browser.
Is there a way to close the browser and come back to the main account menu?
I don't want to have the user hit the [X] button each time.
Is there a standard URL format for an official account that can be used as a link to open the account from a browser?
In short, there's no way to do that.
In early days, there are some hacking ways to do this, but now they are all not working any more.
You can put a qrcode image of your account on your site for users to scan and follow you.
Obviously any signed-in user can view his hosted projects on Google Code by browsing to http://code.google.com/u/yourusername (identified here). I'd like to share this view with anyone by means of linking to the overview from my website, but of course it generates an error for anyone other than myself.
Anyone have any ideas of how I can either publicly link to this page OR somehow easily link to an overview of all my projects from my site?
The "Profile" link in the upper right hand corner goes to your canonical public URL. Whether that's /u/username or /u/ depends on how you've set your email address to be displayed - for example, mine is http://code.google.com/u/artdent/.
I'm working on a site with a Facebook Connect integration on blog posts. I want a Facebook .NET SDK that will allow me to:
Authenticate that a user is logged into FB. The actual login will be done via the typical FBML login button and simple JS with the XD Receiver.
Be able to push data from my WebForm to the user's FB profile, such as a status update.
I do not need to:
Create an actual FB application that goes on your profile, like "Cheer for the Red Sox" app or whatever. I do completely understand that I need to create an app using the Developer application but I'm not indenting to create a real full app.
Do any special stuff other than know the user's basics and push data to the profile.
Now are there any good starting points or SDKs I should look at. I've tried Facebook.NET and also peeked into FBConnectAuth. It seems like the former is too much and the latter is too little of what I need. However, that was a quick glance so are there any people with good experiences that did simple things?
Help is much appreciated!
Have you tried this example?
Post status to Facebook profile without Facebook modal window using ASP.NET
If you have any feature requests for FBConnectAuth, please let me know.

For me, Raya's integration of Facebook Connect is the best example out there. The author also has a good blog post where he describes how he integrated it with his existing web application..
