When I move between views in my Sencha Touch app I see the animation (slide), then the original view(the one I started at) is shown again. At that point, if I click anywhere in the app the view will change to the correct newly active item.
I'm using Sencha Touch, XCode 4, iOS 5 SDK, and PhoneGap 1.3.0.
Thanks in advance!
here's the code for the main viewport:
plantanalyzer.views.Viewport = Ext.extend(Ext.Panel, {
fullscreen: true,
layout: 'card',
cardSwitchAnimation: 'slide',
initComponent: function() {
Ext.apply(plantanalyzer.views, {
login: new plantanalyzer.views.Login(),
plantDetail: new plantanalyzer.views.PlantDetail(),
buildingList: new plantanalyzer.views.BuildingList()
});
Ext.apply(this, {
items: [
plantanalyzer.views.login,
plantanalyzer.views.plantDetail,
plantanalyzer.views.buildingList
]
});
plantanalyzer.views.Viewport.superclass.initComponent.apply(this, arguments);
}
});
and for the viewController:
plantanalyzer.controllers.viewController = new Ext.Controller({
index: function(options) {
plantanalyzer.views.viewport.setActiveItem(plantanalyzer.views.plantDetail, options.animation);
},
show: function(options) {
plantanalyzer.views.viewport.setActiveItem(plantanalyzer.views.buildingList,
options.animation);
}
});
and this is the code for one of the views:
plantanalyzer.views.PlantDetail = Ext.extend(Ext.Panel, {
width: 320,
height: 480,
items: [
{
xtype: 'panel',
html: '<img src="images/logo.jpg"/>',
tpl: '{name}',
cls: 'plantToolbar'
},
{
xtype: 'button',
name : 'buildingSelect',
text: 'Select Building',
cls: 'standardButton',
listeners: {
'tap': function () {
'use strict';
Ext.dispatch({
controller: plantanalyzer.controllers.viewController,
action: 'show'
});
}
}
},
{
xType: 'panel',
cls: 'infoBoxes',
html: 'Efficiency (kw/ton)<br><canvas id="eff"></canvas>'
},
{
xType: 'panel',
cls: 'infoBoxes',
name: 'totalTons',
html: 'Total Plant Tons: '
},
{
xType: 'panel',
cls: 'infoBoxes',
name: 'totalCost',
html: 'Real-time Plant Cost: '
},
{
xType: 'panel',
name: 'uodateTime',
cls: 'lastUpdate',
html: 'Last Update: '
}
]
});
The code looks fine in both sections. When i had issues with phonegap and sencha touch doing this i generally found there was a javascript error occurring or extra html markup was in between the body tag of the index.html file. The first thing would be to open the console in chrome or safari and check the javascript console to determine if it is a javascript error. If you can't run it in them i would suggest the Wienre application that will give you a console and was written to debug phonegap applications (wienre will also allow you to view the html markup to make sure it is correct)
The problem must be somewhere in the view files. The code you have shown is correct.
Well, for what it's worth, after rebuilding the app I found the issue. It was some custom css that was screwing up the app. Specifically the width that was being set on some of the components.
Hopefully, this will save somebody else some time and heartache.
Thanks, Darren and Ilija for your help!

I'm using fullcalendar to display a month view which shows the time and title of events (and a popover showing the description when hovered). When I click the event, I show a listday view that shows all the events for that day. That all works fine and I have this working with this code:
var calendar = new FullCalendar.Calendar(calendarEl, {
headerToolbar: {
start: 'dayGridMonth,listDay',
center: 'title',
end: 'prev,next'
},
initialView: 'dayGridMonth',
initialDate: '2023-01-12',
height: 'auto',
dayMaxEvents: 3,
moreLinkClick: 'listDay',
eventClick: function(info){
switchToListView(info)
},
eventColor: 'green',
views: {
listDay: {
displayEventEnd: true
}
},
events: [
{
title: 'All Day Event',
start: '2023-01-01'
},
{
title: 'Meeting',
description: 'My Description',
start: '2023-01-12T10:30:00',
end: '2023-01-12T12:30:00'
},
and in this code pen
I'd like to show the description text for the event in addition to the title in the listday view and I can't figure out how to do this. I don't know whether I need to use an event hook or what. I just can't make my way through the docs and examples to see what to do.
Appreciate any help.
I got this working with this use of eventDidMount.
eventDidMount: function(info) {
info.el.querySelector('.fc-list-event-title a').innerHTML += ` ${info.event.extendedProps.description}`
},
Frankly, it feels a little weird that I need to go into the depths of the rendered HTML to adjust the output instead of changing what is going INTO the generated HTML but I guess that's just how it works (??)
Thanks to #ADyson for the push in the right direction.
I have the following fieldset in a form Panel in the Admin Dashboard template using ExtJS 6.2:
{
xtype: 'fieldset',
layout: 'anchor',
items: [{
xtype: 'combobox',
listeners : {
select : function() {
console.log(arguments)
console.log(arguments[1].data.birth_date)
console.log(arguments[1].data.first_name)
console.log(arguments[1].data.last_name)
console.log(arguments[1].data.sex)
}
},
bind: {
store: '{patients}'
},
reference: 'patientCombo',
publishes: 'id',
fieldLabel: 'Patient Search',
displayField: 'mrn',
//anchor: '-',
// We're forcing the query to run every time by setting minChars to 0
// (default is 4)
minChars: 2,
queryParam: '0',
queryMode: 'local',
typeAhead: true,
// https://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?156505-Local-combobox-with-any-match-filter
doQuery: function(queryString, forceAll) {
this.expand();
this.store.clearFilter(!forceAll);
if (!forceAll) {
this.store.filter(this.displayField, new RegExp(Ext.String.escapeRegex(queryString), 'i'));
}
}
}, {
// https://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?299301-Bind-combobox-displayField-value-to-displayfield
xtype: 'displayfield',
fieldLabel: 'Selected Patient',
bind: {
html: '<p>Name: <b>{patientCombo.selection.first_name}, ' +
'{patientCombo.selection.last_name} </b></p>' +
'<p>Sex: {patientCombo.selection.sex}</p>' +
'<p>Birthdate: {patientCombo.selection.birth_date}</p>'
}
}]
},
It is working fine, but it is rendering rather strangely, as seen in the following image (I had to mask the data being presented, but the numbers are what to be selected from the combobox):
I am assuming this is a CSS issue, but have not been able to figure out what. NB: I had to copy Admin-all.css Admin-all_1.css Admin-all_2.css and Admin-all_3.css from the build/examples/admin-dashboard/classic/resources folder to the app after I created the template in order to fix a major layout issue.
Yes, this is a CSS issue. The Admin Dashboard example and its CSS have been compiled using Sencha Cmd, so the CSS file contains only the styles required by the example. Since there is no combobox in the example, the combobox styles have not been added and the combobox you inserted does not render correctly.
The only solution would be to use Sencha Cmd to recompile from source and fix the layout issue along the way, which I guess is caused by a missing requires directive.
I've used Highcharts quite a bit and the charts work great, but I've been stuck trying to make Highmaps work for quite a while now.
I believe I have everything setup correctly with my test map that I'm trying to make work because it works correctly in JSFiddle.
The error I'm receiving in my browser console is this:
"Uncaught ReferenceError: Highcharts is not defined at
https://code.highcharts.com/mapdata/custom/world-highres.js:1:1 (anonymous function) # world-highres.js:1"
The first part of world-highres.js is: Highcharts.maps["custom/world-highres"] = { ...
Does anyone know why Highcharts would be coming back as undefined here?
I'm using Meteor 1.3.5.1 and I have Highcharts 5.0.4 installed through NPM.
Here's how I currently have things setup:
exampleTemplate.js
import Highcharts from 'highcharts';
require('highcharts/modules/map')(Highcharts);
Template.exampleTemplate.onRendered(function() {
// Example data
var mymapdata = [
{
key: "US",
value: 198812
},
{
key: "GB",
value: 52894
},
{
key: "CA",
value: 35572
}
];
// Initiate
Highcharts.mapChart('country-map-container', {
title: {
text: 'Highmaps Example'
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Example'
},
mapNavigation: {
enabled: true,
buttonOptions: {
verticalAlign: 'bottom'
}
},
colorAxis: {
min: 0
},
series: [{
data: mymapdata,
mapData: Highcharts.maps['custom/world-highres'],
joinBy: ['iso-a2', 'key'],
name: 'Random data',
states: {
hover: {
color: '#a4edba'
}
},
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
format: '{point.name}'
}
}]
});
});
exampleTemplate.html
<template name="exampleTemplate">
<div id="country-map-container" style="width:100%; height:400px;"></div>
</template>
Head tag:
<head>
<script src="https://code.highcharts.com/mapdata/custom/world-highres.js"></script>
</head>
Here's what it looks like with the code above:
I've tried a lot of different things and spent a ton of time on this but nothing I've tried seems to make it work... Any help with this would be extremely appreciated.
Make sure your order is as follows,
<script src="http://code.highcharts.com/maps/highmaps.js"></script>
<script src="http://code.highcharts.com/maps/modules/data.js"></script>
<script src="http://code.highcharts.com/maps/modules/exporting.js"></script>

Hi i need little help with the scenario i am facing hard to get. i have a horizontal list view of images i want to show only three images on the screen and with center image highlighted.
I tried carousel but only the image highlighted will be scrollable, i want the horizontal kind of smooth scrolling.
Is something like using hbox panel on top of horizontal list view works?
var superpanel = new Ext.Panel({
fullscreen: true,
layout: 'hbox',
items: [
{
xtype: 'panel',
id: 'panel_1',
width: '100%',
layout: 'fit',
items: [
{
xtype: 'list',
flex:1,
id: 'list1',
store: 'samplestore1'
}
]
}
]
});
can someone help with the scenario how to achieve this.
Any help is much appreciated
You don't need carousel for this. Dataview will serve the purpose. Check out this dude:
Ext.define('Example.view.HorizontalList', {
extend: 'Ext.dataview.DataView',
xtype: 'horizontallist',
config: {
inline: {
wrap: false
},
scrollable: {
direction: 'horizontal'
},
//set the itemtpl to show the fields for the store
itemTpl: '{name} {image}',
//bind the store to this list
store: 'xyz'
}
});
You can also check this.
When you use the Ext.dataview.List in Sencha, it automatically inserts a nice loading spinner while the data is loading. That's all fine and dandy, but I'd like to know how to use a custom loader .gif.
I've looked around and think I need to change the loadmask but not positive cause I'm new to this. See this link.
Below is the code for one of my Lists. I'm hoping to be able to add the code suggested to one place so that all lists are affected and have the new spinner.
{
xtype: 'list',
height: '',
id: 'categoryList',
itemId: '',
width: '100%',
scrollable: false,
emptyText: '<div class="pdtsListHtml" style="margin-top:30%">Product List Empty</div>',
itemTpl: [
'<div ><div class="pdtsListHtml" style="display:inline;">{navigationElementItemName} ({navigationElementItemRecordCounts})</div><div style="display:inline;float:right;margin-right:5px;"><img src="resources/image/arrow.png" width="11" height="11"></div></div>'
],
store: 'productListStore',
allowDeselect: true,
onItemDisclosure: false
}
Here's a fiddle that shows you an example list with a loading mask that uses a gif.
Basically you should define your own Ext.LoadMask subclass and use it on the list:
Ext.define("Test.MyLoadMask", {
extend: "Ext.LoadMask",
alias: "widget.myloadmask",
getTemplate: function() {
var prefix = Ext.baseCSSPrefix;
return [
{
reference: 'innerElement',
cls: prefix + 'mask-inner',
children: [
{
reference: 'indicatorElement',
cls: prefix + 'loading-spinner-outer',
children: [
{ tag: 'img', src: "http://example.com/my-spinner.gif" }
]
},
{
reference: 'messageElement'
}
]
}
];
}
});
Then you should define an applyMasked on your lists that modifies the xtype and sets it to myloadmask instead of loadmask.
