Fullcalendar not rendering events on calendar init - fullcalendar

I have this code that works and shows the events on the calendar when I switch views but not when the calendar first initilizes.
$('#calWrap').fullCalendar({
header: {
right: 'prev,today,next',
left: 'title'
},
editable: true,
defaultView: 'agendaWeek',
height: 650,
events: function(start, end, callback) {
$.ajax({
url: '/calendar/getEvents',
dataType: 'json',
data: {
// our hypothetical feed requires UNIX timestamps
start: Math.round(start.getTime() / 1000),
end: Math.round(end.getTime() / 1000)
},
success: function(doc) {
var events = doc;
callback(events);
}
});
}
});
I tried calling $('#calWrap').fullCalendar( 'rerenderEvents' ); in the success handler but that did not work. It's like the events function doesn't get called on the calendar initialization.

Try this
$('#calWrap').fullCalendar({
header: {
right: 'prev,today,next',
left: 'title'
},
editable: true,
defaultView: 'agendaWeek',
height: 650,
events: {
url: '/calendar/getEvents',
dataType: 'json',
data: {
// our hypothetical feed requires UNIX timestamps
start: Math.round(start.getTime() / 1000),
end: Math.round(end.getTime() / 1000)
}
}
}
});

timezone on full calendar is changing the time

I am trying full calendar for the first time on an ASP.NET MVC page. for the timezone, I have tried using 'local', 'America/Chicago'( as well as America/New_York and America/Los_Angeles) and variations of UTC all to no avail. When it has timezone: 'local' every event will show 2 hours after the start of each event, so an event at 11am will say 1pm. UTC is worse it is 8 hours off then. How do I fix this??
Here is the code
<script src="/Scripts/moment.js"></script>
<script src="/Scripts/fullcalendar.js"></script>
<script>
$(document).ready(function () {
$('#coverage').click(function () {
$('#Map').show();
});
$('#close').click(function () {
$('#Map').hide();
});
var events = [];
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
url: "/Home/GetEvents",
success: function (data) {
$.each(data, function (i, evt) {
events.push({
title: evt.Title,
start: evt.Start,
id: evt.ID
});
});
GenerateCalendar(events);
}
});
function GenerateCalendar(events) {
$('#calendar').fullCalendar('destroy');
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
header: {
right: '',
center: '',
left: ''
},
theme: true,
timezone: 'local',
editable: false,
defaultDate: '#Convert.ToDateTime(ViewBag.EventDate).ToShortDateString() ',
allDaySlot: false,
selectable: true,
slotMinutes: 15,
events: events,
eventClick: function (calEvent) {
window.location = '/MonthlyEvents/Details/' + calEvent.id;
}
});
}
});
</script>

Fullcalendar with resources won't start on monday

For some reason, our Fullcalendar with resources does not want to start on monday, it always starts on the current day that we are. According to the docs, we should use firstDay, it also states that :
If weekNumberCalculation is set to 'ISO', this option defaults to 1 (Monday).
Which we did in our case, but no changes. We also tried upgrading to a different version (all above 5) but to no avail.
We are using version v5.11.3 of Fullcalendar (premium).
Anyone that can point us in the right direction?
In the screenshot that I've added, you can see it start on today (friday 18/11/2022).
var calendarEl = document.getElementById('calendar2');
var calendar = new FullCalendar.Calendar(calendarEl, {

Full calendar event rendering happens only for particular week

I am using fullcalendar plugin to display data for one week. The problem is event is rendering only for the week which i select first. Later when i change week events are getting created but are not rendering. When i change again to week I selected first, event creation and rendering both happens. I am using $('#calendar').fullCalendar('gotoDate', WeekStartDate) to go to desired week.
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
contentType: "application/json",
data: '{}',
url: 'DataService.svc/CMStrandSelection',
dataType: "json",
async: false,
success: function (data) {
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
header: {
left: '',
center: '',
right: '',
height: 300
},
defaultView: 'basicWeek',
editable: true,
columnFormat: 'DD dddd',
events:
$.map(data.d, function (item, i) {
debugger;
var event = new Object();
event.id = item.eventId;
event.start = item.Start;
event.end = item.Endd;
event.title = item.Title
event.color = 'White';
event.allDay = true; //
return event;
}),
eventRender: function (event, element) {
//some code
});
}
});
$('#calendar').fullCalendar('option', 'height', 400);
}
});

Populate FullCalendar eventsources with webmethod json feed in ASP.NET?

How can I consume a JSON feed? The webmethod gets hit, but it throwns the error, "error while fetching events." I think its related to ASP.NET wrapping everything with "d." but I don't know how to proceed.
[WebMethod]
public string GetEvents(string webMethodParam)
{
return #"[{""title"": ""All Day Event"",""start"": ""2014-09-01""}]";
}
function createCal() {
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
header: {
left: 'prev,next today',
center: 'title',
right: 'month,agendaWeek,agendaDay'
},
eventSources: [{
url: "<%= AdminPath %>WebMethods/WebService1.asmx/GetEvents",
type: 'POST',
data: {
webMethodParam: 'something'
},
error: function () {
alert('there was an error while fetching events!');
}
}],
defaultDate: '2014-09-12',
editable: false,
eventLimit: true
});
}
It was related to this weird "d." wrapper. To fix it I did the following.
[WebMethod]
public void GetEvents(string webMethodParam)
{
string ret = #"[{""title"": ""All Day Event"",""start"": ""2014-09-01""}]";
this.Context.Response.ContentType = "application/json; charset=utf-8";
this.Context.Response.Write(ret);
}
To create the calendar to async call the webmethod with the current date, I did this.
function getCalendarDisplayDate() {
try {
var now = moment().format("dddd, MMMM Do, YYYY, h:MM:ss A");
var m = moment();
var moment2 = $('#calendar').fullCalendar('getDate');
return moment2.format();
}
catch (err) {
}
return "init";
}
function createCal() {
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
header: {
left: 'prev,next today',
center: 'title',
right: 'month,agendaWeek,agendaDay'
},
eventSources: [{
url: "<%= AdminPath %>WebMethods/WebService1.asmx/GetEvents",
type: 'POST',
data: {
webMethodParam: getCalendarDisplayDate
},
error: function (v) {
alert('there was an error while fetching events!');
}
}],
defaultDate: '2014-09-12',
editable: false,
eventLimit: true
});
}

click prev/next and load new data

I have fullcalendar working fine loading data using json from a flatfile(s).
I would like to load each months data from that months file on clicking prev/next.
Using ajax? events: function( start, end, callback ) addEventSource - removeEventSource? other?
Allow that jQuery is still a work in progress for me.
UPDATE:
I have set:
viewDisplay: function(view) { var next = view.title; alert(next); },
which gives me Month Year on clicking next/prev
How to parse this to json-events.php
I tried [split next] events: "json-events.php?month=month",
nope...
This is not using php, but you can change the AJAX call in getCalData() to do it.
EventSource will be filled with the next data.
I hope this helps a little bit.
$(document).ready(function () {
var calendar = $('#calendar').fullCalendar({
header: {
left: 'prev,next today',
center: 'title',
right: 'resourceMonth'
},
defaultView: 'resourceWeek',
eventSources: [ getCalData() ],
header: {
left: 'prev,next today',
center: 'title',
right: ''
},
viewDisplay: function (view) {
$('#calendar').fullCalendar('removeEvents');
$('#calendar').fullCalendar('addEventSource', getCalData());
$('#calendar').fullCalendar('rerenderEvents');
}
});
});
function getCalData() {
var source = [{}];
$.ajax({
async: false,
url: '/mysite/GetWeekData',
data: { myParam: $('#calendar').fullCalendar('getView').visStart },
success: function (data) {
$(data).each(function () {
source.push({
title: $(this).attr('title'),
start: $(this).attr('start'),
});
});
},
error: function () {
alert('could not get the data');
},
});
return source;
}
fullcalendar by default send 2 additional parameters when getting events, params[:start], params[:end]
u can use them to return queried events between these 2 values
you can just add View Render property to configuration Object of fullcalendar
viewRender: function(view, element) {
//console.debug("View Changed: ",view.start, view.end);
// events = loadevents();
jQuery(nativeelement).fullCalendar('removeEvents');
jQuery(nativeelement).fullCalendar('addEventSource', events);
}
now you can load month by month.
This syntax for angular2
