Is it possible in fullcalendar to align some event box to the bottom instead of the default normal top align in the month view?
The idea is to have some events aligned up and others aligned down. (Important events up, less important events down (even in the same day)).
Thanx in Advance...

The way I would handle it is to make sure that you have your two event sources in the order that you want them to display. AKA. Google 1 then Google 2....
Then I would assign a className: object to the top source and add a css margin-bottom:15px to the className that you gave the source. This will separate the two sources as I think the goal is to do.

**Background:**I am creating a custom daterange picker component in React and want it to open right by default and open left if width on right hand side is not sufficient for complete two-month window to show?
**Question:**Is there a way in CSS/SASS/JS to determine remaining width and put a logic based on that?
Happy to provide more info, if needed. Please help.
**Current scenario:**Currently I have hardcoded it open right on certain screens and left on others. But would need a more cleaner, generic approach.
Additional info: The container of calendar has calendar plus some other info-based component arranged using CSS grid.
I made a custom dropdown. In the last line of the table, scroll is created when dropdown is open. I need to scroll to see dropdown elements. I do not want this.
I want you to open up the body of the dropdown or enlarge the body. How can I do it?
Document is already enlarged by enlarged content/element, scroll shows that. You need only scroll to view entire enlarged element, f.e.:
elmnt.scrollIntoView(false);
Real problem (using react) is that should be done after change state and rendering enlarged element.
I probably would use setTimeout called from setState callback. It's quite common way to be sure it's called after updating state/view. You'll find examples on SO.
I am trying to create a specific solution for weeks now and I have tried many things but I am just not sure if it is possible at all to achieve. I need your opinions and point me in direction o a correct approach. Following what I am trying to create:
Initially there is a tile layout in which a certain number of cards (say 12) are placed in 4x3 grid:
Now, if user clicks on a tile (Box 3), the state changes to following:
Selected tile is expanded and other tiles get aligned one below another on the right side:
Challenge is that I want to create a transition from every tile's initial state to the state where every tile is aligned one below another on the right. At the same time, when a tile is clicked it is expanded in place.
Note - there are no sudden change in positions, no reload of page and preferably no JS (I wanted to write a CSS-only solution). Everything smoothly animates to new position. From the second screen if a different tile is selected (from right), then the expanded item will shrink and go in to the right hand stack while the selected item will expand and take place of the currently expanded (B3).
If you could just point me to correct direction it would be great help.
thanks.
You should check css flexbox.
Using the "order" proprety, you could asign order of every box from 2 to 8,
and each time a box is selected, you change it's order to 1 and you also change its size and colour.
However, I don't think you can use 'click' actions with css only.
I would recommend using JS for what you are trying to achieve.
Hope it helps
For some reason I need to overlap 2 report elements in BIRT. For example I need to put 2 labels one on top of another. Is this possible in BIRT? I am using BIRT 4.3. Normally when we place elements in report designer each item is occupying one full row. Some times i need to overlap elements and sometimes i need to place elements side by side. side by side can be achieved with Grid but I am not sure how to overlap report items? Please help and thanks in advance.
You can put two labels in the same cell of a graph or table, then define when to "hide element" with the "Visibility" property.
OR
In order to have both display at the same time, you can use a grid to define where the top label will go, then add the back label as an image using the background (advanced property)
I'm trying to make a Flex (Advanced)DataGrid component with some mechanism where the user can toggle the visibility of the columns. I've crudely implemented this by reading in the columns into the right-click menu, and when a column name is selected here, the visibility is toggled. It works, but it's not the most elegant solution.
Specifically, I'm trying to emulate the "datagrid" that Mozilla Thunderbird uses to display emails. Here is an image:
In the upper right, there is an icon over the scroll bar. If there is no scrollbar, the icon remains in the same place. When clicking the icon, it opens up a menu that shows all the possible columns, with the visible ones having a check mark next to them, like this:
Also, the scroll bar always appears under this button, never "pushing" it over into it's own column.
I'd like to re-create this in Flex. I believe the menu part and creating a column with a button headerRenderer is easy enough. But I can't figure out how (if at all possible) to do this with the scrollbar, because the scrollbar always seems to be "its own column". Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thank you.

One dirty solution comes to mind. Create a component based on Canvas, then add an AdvancedDataGrid by overriding createChildren. Override updateDisplayList as well and add a button like the one in Thunderbird to the upper right of the Canvas. This will cause the button to appear over the DataGrid. Problemo solved?
