ExtJs IconCls not working in ToolBar - css

Icons aren't displaying on my gridPanel's toolbar - only the text is being displayed.
Is there a specific css class I should be using? I tried using button.print and just .print but neither work.
,tbar: [
{
text : 'Print',
iconCls: 'print',
handler: function() {
Ext.ux.Printer.BaseRenderer.prototype.stylesheetPath = 'css/DETR_WEB.print.css';
var grid = Ext.getCmp("outstandingGrid");
alert(grid.title);
Ext.ux.Printer.print(grid);
}
}]
.print{
background-image: url(../images/print.png);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

I had the same problem once, and I found out that a style in Ext is overriding my image. So when dealing with toolbars I always add the !important to the background-image:
background-image: url(../images/print.png) !important;
I have added this answer to clarify that the question has been answered with a solution that seems to help the OP.

I was having the same issues when specifying an iconCls with a background-image that the image was appearing for the first level menu items but not for the submenu items. I confirm that adding the !important after the background-iamge definition solved this issue.

Contact Form 7 - How Do I Style The Select Arrow and Select Options

I'm building a website using Contact Form 7 for WordPress and am having issues styling the select menu. Specifically, I cannot move the arrows or add padding to the dropdown so it's not so tight.
I've tried using this CSS to add spacing to the dropdown items (and some other CSS trickery) but it has no effect:
options {
padding: 20px 10px!important;
margin: 20px 10px!important;
line-height: 36px!important;
border-bottom: 10px solid tan!important;
}
Do you know if there's a way to control the styling behavior of CF7's select menu (arrow and options dropdown)?
Thank you!

CSS styling for <select/> fields is very limited and does not allow you to achieve this. You will need to use a hybrid field plugin that constructs dropdowns with HTML lists that can be styled, such the Hybrid HTML Dropdown plugin, which can be styled and can be loaded on your page to convert your existing <select/> fields into hybrid ones,
<script type="text/javascript">
(function(){
let sel, hyd;
document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', (e) => { //instantiate on document ready.
sel= document.querySelector('#my-select-list');
hyd = new HybridDropdown(sel,{});
})
})
</script>
Alternatively, you can install the Smart Grid-layout extension for CF7 which has a dynamic-dropdown field tag you can use instead of the CF7's default dropdown, and has as the option to display as a Hybrid Dropdown field for you.
Try this
It's possible to customize the dropdown arrow with this code:
select {
-webkit-appearance: none;
-moz-appearance: none;
background: url(http://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/cc_mono_icon_set/blacks/16x16/br_down.png);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position-x: 98%;
background-position-y: 2px;
}
Here is a list about what you can do with this code:
Remove completely the arrow, to do so, simply remove this line: "background: url(http://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/cc_mono_icon_set/blacks/16x16/br_down.png);"
Customize the arrow size. You need to add the following line to the code given above: background-size: 30px 30px;
You can change the value in px.
Change the arrow, to do so, replace the URL in the following line of code: "background: url(http://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/cc_mono_icon_set/blacks/16x16/br_down.png);"
This guide will help you to inject the code: https://www.jotform.com/help/117-How-to-Inject-Custom-CSS-Codes
If you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks.

Adjust Angular UI Boostrap Modal Size/Width

Essentially what the title says - need to make this wider. Tried several solutions, neither work. Note that the "backdropClass" is applied perfectly and works, but the windowClass doesn't, nor the "size" option. I have tried them independently, nothing. CSS is in the same folder as the working backdrop class"
$modal.open({
templateUrl: 'myTemplate.html',
controller: 'controllingControllerCtrl',
backdrop: 'static',
backdropClass : 'blackBackgroundModal ' +
'blackBackgroundModal.fade blackBackgroundModal.fade.in',
windowClass: 'resizeModalWindow' +
'resizeModalDialog',
size: 'sm'
});
}
}
CSS:
.resizeModalWindow .resizeModalDialog {
width: 5000px;
}
What needs to be done for at least the "size" option to register - I don't really need custom widths.
Edit: Forgot checked links!
Checked this Q first
Then this
And of course docs
bootstrap css has media queries defining the width of a modal based on screen size. to globally overwrite them use !important
like this
.modal {
size: 5000px !important;
}
You should have white space between those two classes will recognize by the css rule.
windowClass: 'resizeModalWindow ' +'resizeModalDialog',
^^^added space here
Add this to your CSS:
.resizeModalDialog .modal-dialog{
width: 5000px;
}
Add the property where you instance the modal
windowClass:'resizeModalDialog',
windowClass will not resize another way.

bootstrap 3 - not pushing footer to the bottom of page

I received a task at work to create some mini-webpage layout with bootstrap. I decided to base on already done layout (Amoeba). Here is the preview: Amoeba bootstrap link
Well, on localhost almost works except one thing - footer. Just take a look on provided link and then: click Portfolio (from navigation) and then filter the gallery by Photography.
When you will scroll down you will see ugly space. And this is my issue. I dont want that. So i thought that I need a footer OR portfolio div class which will automatically resize to proper size. BUt I dont how how to achieve that. Any tips?
You need only to change the code of modernizr slightly. Change forceHeight to false and will work good.
if (Modernizr.mq("screen and (max-width:1024px)")) {
jQuery("body").toggleClass("body");
} else {
var s = skrollr.init({
mobileDeceleration: 1,
edgeStrategy: 'set',
forceHeight: false,
smoothScrolling: true,
smoothScrollingDuration: 300,
easing: {
WTF: Math.random,
inverted: function(p) {
return 1-p;
}
}
});
}
Im not sure why, but your body element gets some height inline styling. Anyways here is the solution of your problem:
body {
height:100% !important; // inline styles, so you need to add "!important" here
position:relative;
}
#footer {
position: absolute;
width: 100%;
bottom: 0px;
}
You can also add wrapper div if you don't want to add position:relative and height:100%!important properties to your body element. Just see how it works and choose a better option for you.

Bootstrap 3 multiselect plugin as form element

I'm trying to add multiselect plugin to my form.
I've managed to get everything working just fine (http://jsfiddle.net/Misiu/t2qaP/), but I would like to get that select to be 100% width.
I can add css by hand:
.btn-group, .btn-group .multiselect {
width: 100% !important;
}
but maybe there is better way of doing this with bootstrap?
here is my demo: http://jsfiddle.net/Misiu/t2qaP/
Again hello ;)
See
UPDATED
http://jsfiddle.net/t2qaP/13/
select.multiselect,
select.multiselect + div.btn-group,
select.multiselect + div.btn-group button.multiselect,
select.multiselect + div.btn-group.open .multiselect-container{
width:100% !important;
}
UPDATED 2
You need to add buttonClass to multiselect options. But why do it? Looks so good.
http://jsfiddle.net/t2qaP/14/
$('.multiselect').multiselect({
includeSelectAllOption: true,
buttonClass: 'form-control'
});
You might want to use buttonWidth option if you do not wish to modify css. See below example.
$('.multiselect').multiselect({
includeSelectAllOption: true,
buttonWidth: '411px'// here you need to specify width value
});
Demo Fiddle
http://jsfiddle.net/t2qaP/12/
$('.input-daterange').datepicker();
$('.multiselect').multiselect({
includeSelectAllOption: true,
buttonClass : "col-sm-12"
});
The multiselect plugin allow to manage this.

Replacing the Close icon for a JQueryUI Dialog box

After extensive searching on this topic, I haven't been able to find an answer, so hopefully someone can help me with this issue. I have a relatively basic dialog box:
$("#dialog-search").dialog({
resizable: false,
height:dimensionData.height,
width: dimensionData.width,
modal: true,
title: dimensionData.title,
position: [x,y],
open: function() {
$("#dialog-search .dateField").blur();
},
close: function(event, ui){
callBack(event,ui);
}
});
What I want to do is replace the X icon (ui-icon-close) with a different icon provided by the ui (ui-icon-minus), so that clicking the minus icon closes the dialog instead. I've seen posts on how to hide the icon or replace it with a custom image in css, but I haven't yet found a way to replace the icon with another icon to perform the same functionality.
Edit: I also want to be able to use ui-icon-close for a different functionality in my dialog box by adding a custom behavior/location, but that may be outside the scope for this question. Feel free to address this if it's a related solution, though.
Try to see the structure of the dialog and it should not be hard to do it.
http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/#theming
Use the create event to change the class of the close button icon to class of another icon will do.
http://jsfiddle.net/Quincy/kHU2M/1/
$("#dialog-search").dialog({
create: function(event, ui) {
var widget = $(this).dialog("widget");
$(".ui-dialog-titlebar-close span", widget)
.removeClass("ui-icon-closethick")
.addClass("ui-icon-minusthick");
}
});
Old question, but maybe I'll help someone. Following CSS made the trick for me, totally custom Close button UI. Not very elegant :), but works fine for me.
.ui-icon-closethick {
background-image: url(images/my-10px-image.png) !important;
background-position: left top !important;
margin: 0 !important;
}
.ui-dialog .ui-dialog-titlebar-close, .ui-icon-closethick {
width: 10px !important;
height: 10px !important;
}
.ui-dialog .ui-dialog-titlebar-close {
background: none !important;
border: none !important;
}
.ui-dialog .ui-dialog-titlebar-close, .ui-dialog .ui-dialog-titlebar-close:hover {
padding: 0 !important;
}
My custom close button shown below:
