Where I can find a good wordpress theme development tutorial? Something that is upgraded to the last versions of the WP API?
Thanks
From scratch.. Are you sure?. If you really want to start from scratch this will get you started: http://www.onextrapixel.com/2011/03/08/how-to-code-a-wordpress-3-0-theme-from-scratch/

But do you know a lot of handy WP theme frameworks exist? They will speed up development with at least 60%. Most of them can be used for personal and commercial perpose! One of my favourites is: http://wpstartbox.com/
For a comparison of different WP frameworks see: http://wpcandy.com/presents/wordpress-theme-framework-comparison

Right now we have 5 WordPress sites in different languages, which we consider to merge into one site. I haven't tried any multilingual since few years, but I seem to recall those I tried before had various problems.
So has they improved enough to actually be worth using? And if so, which can you recommend, that works with Divi Woocommerce and most plugins?
I use for many projects WPML, and is the best. It's fully compatible with Woocommerce and Divi. You can find more informations here: https://wpml.org/
It's compatible with Divi (except some features) and you can find functionalities that are not yet compatible on this page: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/
Just i recommend reading and studying wpml's documentation before launching it because there are many configurations and features that are not easy to use. Once we understand it's really relevant.
I'm trying to build an educational social platform with a lot of functionality in it, and i was wondering if Wordpress is the best choice for that?
Wordpress is the most popular CMS platform in the world and can easily be modified into a LMS platform.
However, the most popular and suggested "native" LMS platforms are Moodle and Talent LMS
It is hard to tell which is the optimal for you since you haven't mentioned any requirements. I think you should compare the options of all the listed platforms and decide by yourself.
No wordpress is not a good for development for LMS.
I'm having some problem with a custom made plugin since upgrading to the newest wordpress version. I've made downgrades before, so that's not the problem. This, however, is a multi site and I'm uncertain if it makes a difference when making the downgrade? Is it the same or should it be avoided?
And, yes, I know I should probably change the plugin, but it is vital for the site!
Not much of a conclusive answer really, but I am fairly certain I have successfully downgraded downgraded a WPMU site in the past (before it was renamed Network Site). Just load /wp-admin/upgrade.php as you would normally do. I would strongly recommend you do the downgrade on a development system before performing it on you production site.
I have a high volume wordpress 3.2 installation. I was considering compiling wordpress in C++ with HipHop, as several resources report a speedup of up to 2.7x times with WordPress 3.0.
Anyhow I can't find any tutorial about wordpress 3.2. Anyone have any experience? Is there any problem I should expect?
If anyone could guide me with the compilation of wordpress, I would be grateful.
There is a compiling wordpress subheader in the running hiphop-php wiki under Example: Compiling WordPress. You might want to try that and ask more specific questions about problems that might come up.
I would suggest you to check this out.

This is a pretty decent writeup to run WP 3 on ubuntu.

After 2 (very) painful years of using Wordpress and fighting a constant stream of bugs and vulnerabilities, I've decided I absolutely have to move to a different platform.
What CMSes offer a smooth migration path from Wordpress (I.e, page, post, and comment importing)?
I would greatly prefer a CMS written in ruby or python, so that I can extend it easily.
Thanks!
Free options
Movable Type is another great option for a CMS and it's highly used. I have seen a lot of people that migrated to it from Wordpress without problems.
Drupal has an official plugin to import from Wordpress. It's a great CMS/Framework to work with.
Paid options
I don't know anyone that migrated from WP to Expression Engine, but a quick search showed some good points on it.
VBulletin Suite (which includes the CMS and the forums), is a great tool and ImpEX, their official import tool (no additional charges for that) is great and flawless on transitioning. I have worked for years with VBulletin, it's a great plataform, but never tried on a production scale using their CMS Suite.
